  1. Read my original post, which is on Page 30 towards the bottom ;)
  2. I was away yesterday, and I stopped checking BI forums for a reply :) Edited my original post, though
  3. I think you misunderstood my comment, I was referring to the solution being pathetic. Was't referring to this thread or BI forums in any way whatsoever :)
  4. This is just pathetic. Found the solution myself.
  5. TA2DST and all required folders are in the OA install directory. I have the steam version of the game, I play CO all the time, but launching as server does not work. The installation of both arma 2 and operation arrowhead are fine, I just need to find a way to combine the two without TA2DST whining all the time. I have tried this on a server, and my gaming rig; two completely different systems (the former running Server 2003 and the latter Windows 7 Professional), which means that the problem is to do with the installation of 'combined ops'. or whatever method of installation is most compatible with TA2DST. I've been looking for an answer for two months now, I have reinstalled steam on the server, and arma 2 and OA, and all drivers are up to date. I have tried putting arma 2 in the OA directory, and launching arma 2 as a mod, and vice versa. This is really annoying. I have posted earlier on this very thread about this problem, but I get vague answers like "run CO and OA" or "update drivers". I've tried everything, and I'm tired of getting the same old result. Thanks for your input nonetheless, and any help at all will be appreciated :) ***EDIT*** Found solution here
  6. I get this problem while trying to launch CO:
  7. Really! A google search?! Wow, first time I've heard of those [/sarcasm] -.- I'm seriously fed up with these answers. I've tried all the relevant solutions found on Google, but none of them worked for me, which is why created a new post in the forums. Ever considered that? If Google was such an omnipotent tool, then how is it that the link Clows2 posted was not shown? Ranting aside, I have tried the method to get past the problem in the past, and I have done it again just for closure, so-to-speak. Problem is, I'm logged in as the server admin, meaning that all actions that I execute are done with escalated privileges. What I don't understand is that the problem only crops up when I run ARMA 2 in order to get CO. I don't get any hassle when running the OA server without ever starting ARMA 2 up. Thanks for all the input so far, even if they weren't relevant *cough* pchaxor *cough* :)
  8. Thanks, I've bookmarked it. Do I need to update graphics? I'm running two xeons on integrated graphics lmao
  9. For some reason I keep getting this error when I boot up OA without mods . The only things I have defined in TA2DST are the admin password, the name of the server, and the mission to run. Battleye has been enabled, and so has persistent battle field. I have launched normal arma 2 OA after a full reinstall, without launching arma 2 whatsoever. It ran perfectly. But as soon as I launched arma 2 through steam (for first time setup etc), shut it down, opened the dedicated server tool and launched an OA server, I get this: It's a dropbox link btw...

  11. Thanks, but with a bit of tinkering last night I think I got it to work. I have yet to test it though :p I simply copied the entire arma 2 folder into the OA folder, fired up the tool, and voila! It was automatically detected as a mod :D I just need to test it though. I will report back on my findings ^^
  12. I've tried starting OA with arma 2 as a mod, but I keep getting this error "No entry 'bin\config.binFormation"... or something like that. what would the proper way be to set up the tool to work with CO? Both games have been obtained from Steam. I've been searching armaholic and BI forums for answers, but they are not detailed enough. Some say shove the arma 2 folder in the OA folder, and others say vice versa. I'm really not sure how to make this work. I can run CO with SixUpdater and Steam too, but it's a pain in the neck IMO to get it to work with TA2DST. Any help would be great.
