  1. for the osprey, pilot should be able to control the angle of the engines. for Arma 2, the osprey stalls at about 40 with the engines facing upward, and when you hit auto hover on, the whole plane suddenly stops stalling and becomes more manueverable than it was without the auto hover and in the same speed. and for the jets, it accelerates to 200+way too quickly during take off! it just feels weird being able to take off in 10 seconds or less. and there should be a proper damage model for the jets. like a blown off wing, blown off vertical stabilizers, plane blown into half, engine failure. and all that while we're still alive in the cockpit and we have a few seconds to eject! how about a little more complicated weapons system for a10s when arming AGMs? not so complicated that we have to press numerous buttons just to arm it. we can select the AGM with a simple hotkey but we target by using the AGM camera and manually putting the crosshair over the target? i think it can be done for GBUs too right? i've not been able to play combat sims since my desktop died and i cant run any of them with my 5 year old laptop(im glad its able to run ARMA 2!)
  2. this script plays a big role in my mission and everything goes pretty well. except when we die a few times and then we lose the action to call for extraction. im thinking that we use radio triggers since they stay around throughout unless theres another trigger disabling it. but i cant really understand the scripts and i cant do a simple execVM on the radio trigger so that i can gain control of the chopper again. do i have to do something with the variables?
  3. hey everyone, im playing on ARMA FREE. im currently working on a pretty ambitious coop where im planning to have 4 missions with 3 or more tasks in it. all that in one single coop mission. tried the first mission for a few days with my friends and then i realized that the enemies dont notice us at all after we die and respawn twice. and i noticed that our arrows dont appear on the map anymore. im using the normal respawn = "INSTANT" on the description.ext . respawn delay is 60 btw. anyone know why this happens? i've got no idea i why cant implement the norrin revive. it happened to work once but after that it keeps going back to the normal respawn mode. however, i intend to keep the respawn on wherever you died cause respawning back to base and having to ride a chopper back to the mission kinda kills the fun for me and my friends. but if its possible for the norrin revive to do just that, i'd pump my brain juice onto make it work. i'm currently using crB's AI caching script and norrin's air taxi. and is it possible to select which mission to do through parameters? my plan is to have the host to be able to choose which of the 4 missions to start from. EDIT! i deleted the first aid module and i still get shot at after 8 deaths already. found this right after i posted this thread. honest sorry admins! ANYWAY anyone know if im able to activate a set of tasks through the parameters?
  4. hosted this yesterday. only had 1 guy on it. settings were 20 zombies spawn everywhere and almost no vehicles. we were doing find escape chopper mission and it was hella fun! especially when we had NV off. it was almost pitch dark when it was 3am. getting to an objective 4km away was never this hard hehe. the moment we ran out of ammo made us panic like crazy! the player didnt lose connection and crash, fortunately. so i can guess that its because of the spawning scripts? when you have more players, more stuff spawns at the same time right? the only bad part was we keep respawning at the same spot everytime we die. it slowly gets pretty boring and repetitive as we just have to keep going to the same route. great mission for a group of friends and cooperative people. until the crashing and bugs start :( and has anyone seen zombies SWIMMING on the ground? it was hilarious for a while seeing a head bob up and down on the road but they're more or less invisible when in the grass. if i remember right, someone said they suddenly took damage from a zombie when they saw nothing. maybe you were a victim of a swimming zombie? haha EDIT: i'm hosting a game right now with 10 people. 20 zombies spawn everywhere, tiny amount of cars. only 3 people crash. the rest are happily organizing themselves to regroup. cool game hehe (:
  5. genesis, are you referring to hosting a dedicated server? i thought of this idea of putting the new zombie spawning into the old v.90 so its playable for arma free and vanilla arma. what do you guys think?
  6. does anyone else gets this problem where other players lose connection after 10+ minutes of playing while you host? not dedicated btw. tried this mission 2 weeks ago. now im on holiday and will be coming back home soon to try host this again. AND im using the OLDER v0.95 . meaning i downloaded this before craig added a hotfix regarding the mission not working in a dedi server. dont seem like the problem but im just gonna put it in here hehe. if i remember right. the parameters were.. arma 2 FREE v1.10 CHERNARUS 20 zombies small and medium vehicle amount (still had players losing connection on small) spawn everywhere more in towns ( i got a feeling that this is the problem as craig mentioned about this param causing lag) debug mode on fast time on spawn at random towns respawn with random weapoms i've looked at the whole thread and no one has mentioned this. my guess it could be because of zombies and vehicles respawning and causing huge lag. it could also be because of my duo core laptop. underpowered for the game but i still manage to get good fps in lowest settings. the fast time didnt work for me. we dont respawn with a random weapon. and the time desync happens when i set the starting time to 18:00 and with fog off. (so i wont lag like crazy :P) and we all respawn at the exact same spot, north of chernogorsk, everytime eventhough i set it to random towns. is it meant to be like this? i watched a v90 video on youtube and one of them died and mentioned they respawned at a town. maybe they had spawn together on, but i tried that and we all still respawned at the same place, north of chernogorsk. wonder if theres anyone with ARMA FREE or ARMA 2 who has played this mission before. once i get home i'll try puttin 10 zombies, spawn everywhere and small amount of vehicles. and try to see if debug mode actually makes a difference other than markers on the map. if that failed then i guess its my laptop :( OH YES. there should be a param to disallow NVGs at start and can only be found through dead zombies and ammoboxes.
