  1. hey guys i am getting these popup errors as well.. everything is synced as it was before... and before i had NOT gotten the errors. with the latest version in the same mission's im getting these errors.. one about ML not launching or being synced (which it is synced) and one about MI not launching or being synced (which it is synced) its the exact same popup as the one posted by WUB PUGS. one for ML and one for MI.

    I am a bit concerned about this, "Raised morale penalties (+20%) mean units act more "under stress" and you'll eventually see them fleeing or surrendering when things turn bad.". I have been noticing a lot of surrendering, as is. I don't think that trained soldiers would be giving up and surrendering as much as they do.. I often see soldiers surrendering in a firefight while most of his buddies were alive and fighting... this guy giving up definitely screwed the rest of the group... Any way you can do a check for friendly units, and have soldiers surrender only when the friendly count is below a certain amount.. In Arma 2 using GroupLink4 there are a few settings for ai surrendering. I had set it so that if there were less then 3 members of a team then and only then would the AI think about surrendering. Then it was down to rank.. Higher ranking units had a much lower chance of surrendering then privates. Is there a way you can link surrendering to group size and unit skill and rank? well i mean i know there is a way , but is there any easy way in your mod? that wouldn't cause any issues? Just and idea, like i said in my testing of .13 there is alot of unit surrendering already and with your previously quoted statement, im concerned there will be too much surrendering..

  5. glad you said that . just reminded me.. we cannot get ALIVE to work on our dedicated... I was under the impression that this was build around Dedi? can someone chime in here.. I have been super busy, and time right now to search thew the whole thread, i have not.. but i havent not seen any mention if anyone else is having problems on a Dedi server. anyone else have any intel then can scoot my way?

    hmmm... reported as this is a direct insult. BB, uncalled for, and repotred... If i am going to get infractions and warnings for "not insulting" someone, you shure as hell better for directly insulting someone!!! that is barabara's opinion and he has a right to it... You, in these forums, dont have the right to insult him for it... Just because your good a coding doesnt mean you can act like a jerk, to others that dont.. Barabara did NOT insult anyone , they simply stated that this mod causes a some "...horrendous clipping..." and makes his ears bleed... so you call him a "Bitch" ... Not cool..

    in terms of performance gains.. ill take the 2% (at max). its better then nothing and will probably make a big difference down the line! I havent had time to really sit down for hrs and test bcombat like i'd like, however, i do as often as i can. i can earnestly say that i Like where this is going!! and cant wait to test .14 side note: yea i remember the spinning grenade throws from Arma 2. I had not seen it until the last week. Just to not i also enabled "more grenades" +2 to be exact. just to see and test it.

    had some time to test and i have noticed an issue with grenades.. AI seemed to revert to their old Spin while they throw behavior. Is anyone else seeing this.. I was with two team mate ai. and one just threw a perfect grenade over the wall right in front of them. The the second one started to throw, and began to spin around and ended up throwing the grenade at friendlies. I have tested this both in Dev and NON dev and the behavior is the same.. this is with about 28 vs 35
  12. Dear Alive Mod Team, Thanks for your mod, It is Epic. Is there any way, you could make a [DEV] version of the mod. For those that run the dev build. I know that you stated that all the changes that go on in the Dev build hinder progress. but i have to ask. Or maybe remove the restriction so that those that want to ride the razors edge can and use your mod in DEV. Even if one day a dev patch might break something( and possibly get fixed in the next patch), it would be nice to not have to switch out from dev just to use your mod. which i am having to do often to play with everyone i game with. Again, I just had to ask. Please and thank you, =LP=

  16. hey guys, sorry it took so long to get back but. my page lock privilege was already granted to Me (my profile). When it didnt work. I deleted my profile, and reset, with My profile, I added Admisnitrator, and Everyone.. Just to make sure that i have it available.... I restarted my PC. It worked once.. and now it doesnt work again. I dont know whats up.. I have page lock set up. malloc=tbbmalloc, in the startup params. Is there an updated version I should be trying..

    this comment made my laugh... So Hard... really you are honestly going to state that SSD gives ZERO performance increase during gameplay, over an HDD... Having, not to long ago, swapped from a HDD to an SSD, I can honestly say you are Wrong! Wrong! Wrong! ............. Wrong! The game is consistently accessing my SSD... That made my laugh soo hard!! When i did the change I notice a quantifiable difference in gameplay and FPS... but hey ... what do i know other then, Actually Experiencing it...

    if you look threw this thread and look at the dates/year that the posters join'd. You will see a trend... You will see that the ones that are saying that 20-30 fps is acceptable are people that have been playing arma for over 4 years.... They are literally "BRAIN-WASHED" by Low FPS.. They accept it as law and anyone that questions it is a heretic, a blasphemer.... What a Crock of shit!!!!!! Then there are the comments about how much simulation is going on in Arma, compared to other games. And their right, Absolutely right ... but the point is.. This SHOULDN'T BE...... its been over 5 years since Arma 2 came out. Your all are telling me that in the time that Arma 2 was released and all the patches and updates it went threw, why are they just doing it all over again.. They (BIS) seem to have, not learned a thing about the problems in Arma 2 and are just repeating history.. Based on Arma 3's current state it is PAINFULLY OBVIOUS... However, again, it has been over 5 years since Arma 2 came out... And you old heads, all honestly "Accept" low fps from Arma.... when its Painfully Obvious to any one that can connect the dots that this game is NOT where it should be. It is a seriously Limited Arma 2 with enhanced visuals, stereo sound, and all the same and new issues that should have been lessons learned from OFP, Arma , Arma 2... With that being said you get comments like," thanks for proving that you know nothing about game engine developement... " Im not saying that A3 is the EXACT SAME engine as A2... its the Problems that are STILL PRESENT.... from A2.. in A3... dont get it twisted, just to try and make your point valid!!! Please dont get me wrong, "I am an Armaholic", however, I am not brainwashed by low FPS, I dont candy coat, and i dont polish turds.. I have a decent system. However, I can go from Everything "Disabled/Low" to "Ultra" graffix settings and not see any change in my games playability or FPS. I have been stuck around 20 fps since Alpha release.. As a matter of Fact i have actually gotten Worse performance from ARMA 3 since the beta was released... I just suck it up and keep pushing threw.. (Just like the Old heads that accept the poor performance as a trademark of Arma) Amd 6100 @4.1Ghz Stable 2 x ATI Saphire 7950's in X'fire 360GB SSDrive 16Gb Ddr3 1800Mhz? memory I had the game AutoDetect and Auto setup my graffix.. Everything was set to "Ultra" by the game itself.. But somehow i get shit performance in SP and MP... I get Shitty Fps, frame skipping, Lag, ETC. I use Taw_VD mod and keep everything reasonable.. but hey .. ARMA.... Im sure to get comments about how X-Fire is not optimized for Arma and Ill get better frames if turn off X-Fire... Let me be the first to tell you all, that, that statement is bs. I get double the fps when i run Xfire... Dont even go there, because, I have tested it... I use and test out different startup parameters, I am also testing out Fred41's memory allocator.. still no real performance increases.. There is also another trend I would like to point out... Most People with AMD processors have performances issues.. While those with Intel chips seem to fair better.. Most of the people that have NO problems with arma have an Intel chip that runs over 4Ghz. etc. but the thing that bothers me most is when people with Slower pieces of machinery have better game performance from Arma 3, then i do... And i bet the same goes for those people with "exotic high end PC's"... And why shouldn't they be... They have a "Next Gen" PC for a Next Gen" game... but somehow it doesn't perform.. There is NO reason a PC with All the bells and whistles, One Bad Ass, Fast, Balls to the wall CPU and the Fastest GPU or 2 of them shouldnt be able to run a higher VD.... I am NOT saying that 10000 VD is reaonable but 5k-6k should be acceptable and get decent performance... I would like to hear a "rational" explanation as to how it is possible for a fast cpu, a fast gpu, a SolidStateDrive, and fast and abundant memory give slow performance?? No wait i know this... The answer can only be, poor code optimization! I know as much as i bad mouth Arma 3, I dont play arma 2 anymore.. 3 just looks better. I play everyday, and sometimes hours on end. I just think that, when you settle and accept 20-30 fps as, well, Acceptable. then well thats all you going to get... IF you expect and demand better well the software Co usually catches on and works to that end... But after years of people being complacent with the state of the game.. well you get what you get..

    then these comments show up about "fear" or "how arma should be played".... However, the OP was talking about BIS providing these tools (which already exist there called a brain, willingness to learn, and last but not least effort!!!) the first post makes an indication that the game should be less "Sim" and more Arcade". where then they go on to elaborate on BIS providing scripting and functions etc (which they aready do) to facilitate his wishes.... I am all for the OP taking up his keyboard, heading to the search bar on BIS_Forums, and See how easy OR hard it is to get the game to do what he wants.. From what it sounds like he wants a fancy Avatar selection screen (comments about boring lobby), Some hoytie-toytie user interface that looks really pretty around the edges.. With lots of color , and flare... All that is totally doable by config-ing in what you want to do in a @Mod... but this armaholic was talking about BIS doing it for them. I stand by my statement... If you want and "arcade" game go to an arcade... but ill amend it with ... BUT, if you want to make an @Arcade for Arma 3.. Please DO IT!!! It would be fun to see what kind of game modes you could make... There are a lot of games that are out that could be emulated within Arma as a Mod.. Its just execution and how you go about incorporating the idea into the current game engine..

  22. ok well firs off thanks for cleaing that up, this is what i needed to know: that being cleared up, i have to note that my user profile was already Listed.. but it wasnt working.... it was Just my user name... ie "lordprimate" (not my real user name just an example) so what i did was delete that user. And search for my user name again. this time the profile came up as a sub group of my PC. and was listed with my pc's name. It showed up as "my pc name/lordprimate". I saved that and for good measure i added "administrator" (which ended up looking like "my pc name/Administrator" And then i found a "everyone" profile .. so i added that as well ... I added -malloc=tbbmalloc back to my startup param's. and instead of instant crash the game launched.. ill download that program you posted earlier to verify memory usage and check

OK so the link i posted up talks about Adding a group or a user to lock pages. so to undo that i just have to remove my profile from the lock pages list? literally the opposite of that the link i posted says to do? so just to be clear do what the link says but the reverse, i go to that UI and remove my profile? then ill be "Unlocked"? i am honestly confused.. you say it needs to be unlocked, but then you say it requires page lock privilege. so unlocked or locked?? If i am suppose to add my profile name to the lock privilege list then.. Its already there... If i need to remove my profile name from the list then i have not done that ... based on this thread i found, my page lock privileges are already set up for me. that is why i am not understanding what i need to do. http://www.sevenforums.com/general-discussion/3706-lock-pages-memory.html
  25. yea it doesnt happen when this mod is not enabled.. that is why i thought it was this one.. i cannot press ctrl and move my mouse and have my head move. only when @hrp is running. Ill look into it deeper though, as it didnt make sense. I dont see anything in @hrp that would cause this behavior but like i said it only happens when im running hrp. based on what you all are saying it might be a custom key bind issue.. the digging begins
