  1. I just installed A2 and i have no sound in the game. at first i came up with error messages (.dll). I downloaded and fixed the two .dll error messages my comp. said that i was missing. once i fixed it, the program now opened up with no errors. but now i have no audio/sound. Did anyone run into this same problem? can anybody help me with this one. i already downloaded direct-X also. Im running windows 7. If anyone need to know my comp. specs, all look them up and add them to the post.
  2. Well since im new to PC gaming, and this being my first laptop ever. Is it possible to buy/upgrade my video card and install more RAM. Would that improve the game at all? If it would, then i'll just put everything to the lowest setting for now and just deal with it untill i can afford to upgrade my laptop. That looks like that would be the way to go right?
  3. When i start the game, the main first screen had a lag to it. im guessing thats cause i messed around with my gaming options in my AMD control center. I thought i'd get a better picture and a nice smooth 3D rendering. Well it was total oposite. So i went back into my computer setting and defaulted my AMD gameing options. i opened the game back up. By the way i, only running arma2. i havent even been passed the first screen of the game yet. Can anyone help my so i can play this game with no lag and some sort of 3D rendering. Im a nooby to all this, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. My system is AMD M880G w/ Mobility Radeon HD 4250 CPU: AMD Turiom II P560 Dual-Core Processor, 2.5GHz Performance Rated at:4.63GHz RAM: 2.8GB OS: Windows 7 Home Premium, Service Pack 1, 64-bit

ArmA II / OA Installation problems

I'm running into another problem if anyone can help me out with this one. When i start the game, the game loads up, and the first screen is options and videos of battleships ect. I did ntice that there is some sort of lag that im getting. It's not a nice smooth video. I went into my AMD control center and fiddled around with the gameing section. Once i brought the AMD gameing back to default settings. it did improve the lag, but not completely.By going to default, it took away from my high deff. and better quility pictures. Is there a way i can go about bringing my high quility picture without the lag?

ArmA II / OA Installation problems

ok now im really getting agitated. I ran into this error message weeks ago. Error message saying X3DAudio1_5.dll is missing from your computer. this was going on while I was trying to download the free version of A2. I gace up and said forget it, i'll just buy the dvd-rom and bypass this problem im having. I just tried clicking on the game program and im still getting that error mesage. So i think i sovled the direct-x problem. I went into the A2 folder and found an icon saying dirx_exe. So i figured that running that would install direct-x. I restarted my computer, clicked on the game icon to play and now this same error message as if i was trying to download the demo version. Can somebody please help me. Explain to me what all this means and what i need to do to solve all these problems so i can start playing. I'd appretiate any and all help.

ArmA II / OA Installation problems

I just bought a laptop for the first time in my life. This laptop does have alittle more then the minimum reqiured hardware to run ARMA2. I just did the installation of the game last night, (haven't even opened the program yet) and after installment. I came up with a message saying unable to install Direct-X.I figured before I even start the game, I would go to the main website to see if there are any updates and patches that i would need. Can anyone help me about this Direct-X problem.
