  1. Nice screens Sethos, cool displays of some good ol' russian hardware, gotta love that Hind! What map are these taken on? The second one looks like Namalsk? Like it.
  2. This map is amazing! Thanks McNools! Played for quite a few hours with ACM set to 100% with Taki Ins and some US Strykers/Hummers and the diversity of the terrain made for some brilliant engagements. I saw so much attention to detail, every ridge I crossed revealed an eye-widening vista. I also realised how hard it can be to spot enemy infantry with all the bushes painted across the mountainsides of the inner valley. An excellent infantry environment. Speaking of environment, I agree with metalcraze on adding a little more grass density, but at the same time I can see how you could opt out of this for performance (noticed a pretty nice little fps increase/consistency on this map). At the same time I can't agree with adding a power grid to this map. The thing that captured my attention/imagination the most about this map was that it is this incredibly remote little segment of an A-stan esque valley that other maps (let's say Takistan) just don't have with their power grids and many ashphalt roads which seem to resemble more or less built up areas unlike the "off-the-grid" kind of feeling I get from this map. tl;dr Great map with amazing attention to detail. Excellent for infantry missions. Please keep the "off-the-grid" feel!:) Very diverse terrain, love it mate! Thanks!
  3. Not sure if anyone mentioned this yet. An ammo box search field would be useful. I know you can filter by Ammo, Launchers, Rifles etc but it would be great to be able to just type in "M4A1" so only M4A1's are shown in the menu. This would make grabbing your kit just that little bit easier.

    I agree with Katipo66 here, the concurrent fires option is good and a total fire limit would make my computer even happier.:D @J-Guid: I'm not sure if this is what you mean by smokewall but it greatly improves smoke grenade effects (and also improves muzzle flash, explosions to name a few). wxCqWbBHG1Q Thanks for the great addon DMarkwick can't play Arma2 without it.:D
  11. More funcionality for SecOps and ACM Modules. ACM should be able to use units & vehicles from addon's. SecOps should also be able to use addon's and be configurable i.e. base config, faction config, unit config. I think SecOps also needs more missions and they should be more dynamic i.e. Patrol mission can be "Infantry spotted patrol these waypoints". or "Light armour spotted patrol these waypoints". or ambush missions could be "ambush tank column/supply convoy/enemy foot patrol". Hight Value targets should also include infantry targets aswell as ammo dumps etc.

    @kuokenken I beleive the actual landmass is 400km square and including the ocean is 900km. The actual size of lemnos is roughly 477km. This is what I've read so far anyway, please correct me if this is wrong.

    Improved Command System

    wiggum and janosgolya these are really good idea's. If the command system was able to be customized the possibilities would be endless. Would be great to give two fire-teams under your command an order to to attack an enemy position and then see them automatically use a predifined user created battle drill and not have to micromanage them during combat. Predefining battle drills would be a huge improvement e.g. - space-7-2-space-8-7, then save as "contact drill 1" and so on. This idea should be in the wishlist!:D

    Improved Command System

    First off, I think the command menu needs improving to. It is fairly easy to use once you get the hang of it, although it wouldn't hurt if it was more ergonomic. But c'mon! All the commands you mentioned as being not needed I use on a regular basis! Column - Moving through a town/village. Staggered column - moving along a road or through dense terrain. Careless/Safe - When trying to interact with AI so they stay the f&*k still! So taking commands out that some don't use could really mess with someone elses style of playing. I completely agree that the command system should be more ergonomic but I don't think removing features can improve it, only dumb it down.
  19. Player stats/record. Something like the pilot record in Flaming Cliffs 2 would be perfect for this. Medals could be awarded and recorded here for completing the relevant actions (i.e Limnos service medal, campaign medal, purple heart, silver star etc.). Skill badges and ribbons for doing certain training missions. I think this would add more of a sense of growth for the player.

    Combat Record

    I like Dragon01's idea, something similar to the America's Army training courses would add some more depth to multiplayer, restricting untrained players from certain weapons or vehicles (of course this could be an option in the server settings). I would also like to see ribbons from completed courses kept in a profile similar to DCS FC2. Medals and other stats could also be recorded. Of course the medals would be for doing the actual action required for them like in RL, and not a medal for getting a bajillion kills. I think I might get alot of purple hearts though lol.:p

    I think this should be relevant to lighting improvements for A3. Hopefully we'll see this and other improvements to the lighting but i think AI imrovement and PhysX should be much higher priority. Some of you might have seen this already but for those who havn't check 2:39: ps5plyX8B2A

    Wind! Do you want it to blow?

    I think I remember Ivan saying somewhere that it was not in. I would really like to see it though, and with over 6 months till release there may still be hope for this feature. I think the direction of wind can be just as important to making the decision of where to go next as the terrain does. I play with Warfx and ACE2 and I can say I love having to stop and check wind direction before popping a smoke. If you have to cross a danger zone in an urban area, getting accross safely can mean you have to know the wind direction or you might end up throwing a smoke grenade to the wrong side of the road! And with JTD's Fire and Smoke even a burning vehicle can effect how you maneuver.
