  1. Voted for this. Since it used to be OK, hopefully it should be a simple fix.

    Binkowski

All good news, but not as good as the news you are recovering :)

Boris Nemtsov - Anti-Putinist - Shot and Killed

The principal suspect in the murder, Zaur Dadayev, has retracted his confession: he said he made his original statement after being threatened with death, and the death of a friend."[investigators] told me what to say, how to say it and where to say it." More details on the BBC.
  4. You trying to get the OP killed?! Thanks CiforDayZServer, this is wonderful news - I miss Chernarus in A3.
  5. Whoo! Great idea to collaborate like this, best wishes to all involved.

    Binkowski

Welcome back Bink, it must be great to be home again despite all. Best wishes for a full and complete recovery. Echoing ProfTournesol, do you still need financial help?
  7. http://cdn.theguardian.tv/3gp/large/2015/03/25/150325Granade_large.3gp Remarkable response from the instructor at the end :)

    Wiki's creations [ArmA 3]

+1 A Wiki campaign using RHS would be great. Maybe on Bornholm?
  9. Thank you for the updates, Laxemann. This fills a huge hole in the basic infantry abilities repertoire.

    ASR AI 3

Good spot, Seba - will you make a ticket (seems like a bug to me). Thanks for the code fix.
  11. @Sa0k: delighted to hear you aren't leaving:yay: Your missions are always creative and challenging, and great fun to play. I wish I had a tenth of your scripting skills! And I agree that you should have won a prize. I hope that if BIS run another contest, they will give the community the major role in deciding the winners, rather than people who maybe only play ArmA occasionally (if at all).
  12. I routinely use asr_ai with DAC in A2/CO, works perfectly. I expect that the same will apply in A3; also bcombat will likely work fine. I wouldn't use vCom_ai as that messes with waypoints. You can disable the skill setting feature in asr_ai for A3 via the file "asr_ai3_settings_ss.sqf" in the user config folder. Set the "asr_ai3_main_setskills" to 0 instead of 1. I'm not sure how to do the same for bcombat since I haven't been able to play with the latest version. Re Delta99's comment, both Robalo and Fabrizio_T are already modifying their addons to exploit the native suppression feature.
  13. Terrorists attacked the Bardo museum in Tunis at about 12:30 pm. So far 19 people known to have died, 17 tourists and 2 Tunisians. 24 injured - 22 tourists, 2 Tunisians. A number of terrorists killed, 2-3 thought possibly still at large. Live updates on the BBC. Thought to be Islamists opposed to the forthcoming democratic election. Tunisia is the country that benefitted most from the events of the Arab Spring, so quite possible it will face more attacks from those opposed to democracy and liberalisation, social (women's rights, e.g.) as well as political and religious.
  14. I'm still running 1.38 (never upgraded to 1.40 after I saw the bug reports) and have no problem saving games.
  15. "Battle royal" or "Royal battle" is a common phrase in British English. I doubt any court would hold a claim valid, any more than it would for an attempt to enforce a trade mark for "fish and chips" or (appropriately IMO) "dead duck". ---------- Post added at 19:28 ---------- Previous post was at 19:17 ---------- Hmm... well, Ryd's entry was certainly different from anything I've seen before. I guess Lost Dragons was perhaps still too much WiP to win enough votes. If BIS repeats this maybe it should be biennial, give people more time (and hopefully a more stable "stable" A3 :P)

Well done, Kyd :) Hope you're having a party tonight :beeeers:

    Binkowski

That's great :) Thanks for posting, Vilas - I avoid Facebook like the clap.
  18. Does it necesarily have to be "new"? A mod that has been around for a long time like Unsung- high quality, detailed, and great fun to play - imported & revamped for A3 with even higher quality would be a worthy contender. OTOH, I found, for example, "Lost Dragons" intriguing because it's quite fresh in its (still-developing) view of a far-future scenario. I think there's space for both (certainly reserving space on on my SSD :) ). I hope BIS will continue this - maybe annually, maybe biennally - perhaps with a smaller total pot but with, as suggested, more categories and smaller prizes.

    [SP] Pilgrimage

Well done Ryd - not just for Pilgrimage but for all your other innovative additions to the Armaverse :)

    Bornholm, Denmark [Terrain]

Congratulations Egil!! It's a delight to have a high-quality, large forest map native to A3.

    Binkowski

Great to hear Bink is recovering :) May he recover completely and soon.
  23. Does this only happen when you are online, or does it still happen when you work offline (i.e. disconnected from the Internet)?
  24. +10 The selected candidates (and very many of those not shortlisted) were all of professional quality, putting the efforts of some big studios to shame. BIS' support for modders and addon makers is second to none.

    RHS Escalation (AFRF and USAF)

Conratulations, guys. I heartily concur with this result; the outstanding quality of this mod combined with the range of content beat some stiff competition. Hope you have a great celebration tonight. Cheers!
