  1. Hi Guys, today I'm really exited to present you my new creation. This Mod has been in development about the last one and a half years. I've taken this time to provide you an lightweight and easy to use base for controlling your Units. This mod will combine the old with the new. Maybe some of you will remember the Command Overhaul Mod ( http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=19951). Which I have done two or three years ago. Well I know this mod was'nt that stable or good written. But over the time I've learned a lot about Arma's scripting, so this mod is on a whole nother level of quality . But to come to the point, the Command Overhaul Mod is something like the ancestor, to my new Advanced Command System, which I want you to present today. So today will be the day, where commanding your squad will not be a pain in the a**. Instead you will have an easy and intuitive experience. The Main Focus of this Mod is to provide you Guys an easy and uncomplicated way of how you order your units in SP.(not tested in MP) To archive this, I reorganized the BI's default menus and Keybinding especially the process of how you select your units and menu has been optimized and streamlined. This said, the mod is ideal for beginners of Arma 3, but also for people who never could arrange with the method provided by BI (like my self). There are not really new commands at the moment (but this will come at a later stage). Mod Requirements: None (only Arma 3 of course) C2/ Command and Control is recommended but optional. Mod features: easy and intuitive way of ordering your units No more “Ninja-Finger†practice on your Keyboard. That means no more hazzle with your Menu selection. new way of selecting your units preassigned team-colors more visual feedback configurable to your likening via menu. and you can de-/activate this Mod at any given time Ingame. Keys which play a part in this Mod: select Keys via CBA All scripts in this mod are done completely by me. There is only one script that i had to „steal“ from Zaprat. It just a tiny snipped of his awesome Grenade mode. I have to thank many people in the BI community for this mod, even if they self never have helped my personally. BIS for making this awesome Game.   2. @.kju Hi, thanks for your feedback. I'm realy appreciate to see that somebody is still using my mod. Indeed I have been very negligent in regards on working further on it. At the moment I'm a liitle bit in a motivational drag in respect of modding and scripting for Arma 3, however I will definitely take a fresh look at my Mod in the beginning of the next year and look what I can refine. I will also upload my Mod to GitHub so other people can use und improve it further. So letst hope that 2020 will be the year of Arma 4 and I wish you and all forummembers a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
  3. Hi Folks, i've a short question. What is the Use of "Define CT_CONTEXT_MENU" in regard to Dialogs or Displays. There is no explanation on the wikipage. So I googled for an answer but I coulnd't find anything satisfiying. Just out of couriosity i would realy like to know what this Control Type is and how it is applied. I would be realy happy if anybody could anwer my question. thanks in advance ......

  5. Hi johnnyboy, this is what I use: I use it in an oneachFrame eventhandler, but you can use it in a while loop or whatever. Basic Idea or source of this script, is actually not mine. Found in some forum threat.

    Have tried it out, unfortunately it didn't changed anything. Interesting ist that It only freezes when I press "play scenario" in the editor. Across all missions and new create ones. Also when I test it with a new profile. There is a 50% chance that it works or freezes. If I'm in the scenario and press restart it works flawlesly though.

    Hi thanks for your reply. have also tried it without mods. Same results. Driver is the latest version. Gets updatet automatically. Will try it out asap and report back.

    Ok, for my part. I think i fixed it. had two audio drivers installed realtek and nvidia. The last one must have been installed without my knowlegde.I removed it. What i also did was removing the .dll folder and the .exe (s) from my Arma3 main folder and let them reinstall via steam cache repair. Until know everything runs stable. I will report Back if the problem is still persistent.

    I have the same Problem here, since he last upade 1.92. The game freezes in Editor wen I prerss play Szenario. It happens randomly. I can exlude Hardware issues. Searched alot for soultions and tried out different things. So far i have three aumptions about the cause. NVidia Driver problem or Configuration. Problem with Windows allowing the game to acces certain things. Other games run flawlesly though. Problem comes due to the latest update. Here is my rtp file. It showes that it cant load certain Model configs. One thing you could also try, is to check if the "!Workshop" folder under "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3" or wherever your main Arma3 folder is located, is not hidden and writable. Maybe this will fix it.
  13. @johnnyboy I made a little FSM file for a unit animationcycle ( unit walking on path) to support your project. It is very Basic an more of a proof of concept. Unit is able to stop and engage enemies on its way. If you interrested you can download the missionfile here. Missionfolder If I find the time I will upload an examplevideo soon.   14. @rekkles You can defenetly do it as Grumpy Old Man explanded. But consider that this loop is running during the whole mission checking for the conditions to fullfill. Depending of your missiondesign you could also think about using a trigger, which only activates if yous as player is near the gate and then ckeck if the desired time had been reached.
  15. Because I decided so...... It is still compatible with c2 though, i just have no desire to update my mod everytime something changes on behalft of another mod.

    Maybe it hast something to do with the keybinding, atleast i was able to solve it in my case. Got to Controls > Keyboard and assign "Use selected action ". See picture below

Find under "Movement Menu"Defence. - Changed: switched Keybind to CBA. - Changed: Configuration Menu (not needed atm). - Reomved: Quick Targeting/Movement. Had some Clitches and was in a way redundant. ________________ version 1.0: - initial release Main new feature is the 360 Degree defence. There will be other features soon but progress ist slowly due to RL. Planned features for next release / Update: - order unit to plant an Explosive or Mine. - enalbe light, laser ect. - patrol walking behaviour. Like Relax/Easy mode (Weapon Down) but with more Awarness and formation behaviour. - Skill Ajustment menu for controlled units. - high command compatibility Hope you have fun with it.   22. I don't know any reason why it should'nt work in MP also i did design this Mod for SP use primarily. Best why to find it out is to try it out. General speaking next update will come soon (next couple of days). This will include following Major and minor changes. - changed Keybind to CBA. - removed "Move/Target" quickmenu. It had some flaws I wasnt happy with. - more visiual Feetback. (Which units are traget etc.) - 360 Defense formation. A long term goal will be the support of Highcommand Controll. But it will take some time to figuring out how this all work.
  23. @ froggyluv In my opinion the "quick movement order" is alittle bit quicker and reliable. For instance the normal BI provided solution, you had to select "move to" and suddently another unit runs through your line or you moved your corsur a litle bit and your selection skipped to a completly nother place. Now it is only one button where nothing can go wrong. It also shows you all avaiable Building pistions which makes unit placement inside a building much more confortable. Well i have put that option out because i never used it. But I can readded in th next update. You have to understand that in order to uncluster the Menus i had to sort some of the commands out and here lies the problem . I know that I can't fullfill everyones taste or whishes, whenn it comes to the decision what commands to I keep and which are redundent.
  24. No this is just a coincidendce in the Video. They should move instantly but this is also engine related (depending on the Combat state) and I can't do nothing about it.
