Hi, I have a suggestion to (at least in my opinion) improve third person: Implement by default one of those scripts (or both), not as an option, by default: -Deadfast: https://forums.bistudio.com/topic/141101-deadfasts-third-person-view-for-arma-3/ -The Fourth Wall: https://forums.bistudio.com/topic/160075-the-fourth-wall/ This would make the game more realistic while still using third person. I think they are good scripts that could fix the game a lot, and people who play in first person will start playing with people who play in third person. Being deadfast customizable in the settings.
  2. Thanks for the answer, what AI level should I put? I think veteran AI should be ok or max setting (without super AI enabled of course)?. Ok so That's the problem with the tank, with the MG they dont hit anything, but with the main cannon... its better to simply run xD (and that's good, tanks are feared for a reason). Maybe I should put AI accuracy to 0.4 insted of 0.2
  3. Hi, I installed the steam version, can anybody tell me if I need to reset my ingame difficult settings or set to skill and precision to max or something?. I tweaked when I bought the game so I set the AI to 0.9 skill, and 0.2 in precision (because vanilla AI is too acurate, and this solved my problem), but it seems they can't hit me, I was playing WLA and I realized the AI cant hit me unless in CQB. I had an enemy tank shooting with the MG at about 100-200m and he never hit me, even completely standing in open field. (maybe its small bug or do I need to reinstall?) Also I realized that if I start a new mission the game load bcombat, but in a mission alrady started it doesn't load the mod, does this mod works in an already started mission?, if not, how do I now if the mod its working when I'm in a mission?

    Black border with HDMI

    Hi, thanks for the reply. I fixed the game doing that: I went to the CCC and changed my display to 50HZ, then apply, and my desktop had black borders, then I overscaled the screen in the CCC. I did the same with all frecuencies (I think It's only neccesary to do it in 50 HZ). Then I used my old CFG and my game started perfectly. I thought the game starts in 60hz because I saw it in my CFG. But I think by default It start in 50Hz. I will try the -refresh 60, I want the game at 60 HZ. But I put all my launch options in the launcher, now the custom parametres it's gone, so I dont know where to put it :s But thanks you very much. Now My problem it's solved :P

Hi, recently my monitor (LG M227WDP) stopped working correctly in VGA (screen banding) and I have an ati HD 6870 , so I connected a HDMI, I went to the options settings> input label> HDMI> and I choose PC. Well doing that I eliminated the black screen in the desktop, and I another game I have installed (I currently have installed 2 so I cannot test more). But when I start the Arma 3 the game has a black border. I've read in forums and people say I've to change to my native resolution. But in the manufacturer web, and It say the native resolution is 1920x1080 (the current resolution I have, in my games and desktop), and in the CCC I cant modify the overscan (it's in grey unless I choose a 1024x768, but If I choose that and I overscale, then the arma 3 launcher is too big and I cant see the launch button). I have in CCC my display as 1080p, 60HZ. I found a feecback with my problem and the author solved it by deleting the arma3.cfg. I make a backup and I did that and It worked!, but then I edited the new cfg to change the graphic options like my old cfg by hand. I launched the game and again I've the black screen. I deleted again the arma3.cfg and the solution stopped working. I got it work again 2 times and I make a backup of the CFG without editing or even open it. But no mather what I do the game always change to black border screen :S That problem only happens in ingame resolutions above 1680x1050 I think the problem is with this game. Can anybody help me? I dont know what to do :S
  6. Hi, great mod!, but i'm having a bug with the AI, i'm playing WLA mission and the AI is constantly saying they are out of ammo, I checked their inventory and they have like 5 or more magazines. I'ts very annoying can anybody tell me if I can fix it? :S

    Regarding the AI

    I will try the campaing in normal difficult if I see it is impossible I will install any AI mod, thanks for the answers. I dislike the 3rd person, I really love the first person, specially in this game, and with as high as possible in the settings. Maybe the AI is detecting me because the grass, or maybe is that mission that we are completely in disadvantage :P. I will try it more without mod, because I don't like to mod very much that game :D

    Regarding the AI

    Hello, I have a simple question, I don't know if there should be posted here: I recently bought arma 3 and I have been playing a bit, but I'm enjoying the game, in the campaign I haven't problem (playing in regular because I didn't play arma 2 for a long time and and I'm not used) Recently I tried the Infantry showcase, I like the mission, but I'm having troubles with the AI, I know this mission is hard, so I was reading a bit in this post, (and is useful, but is a bit older, so I want to ask in a new post.) And I decided to tweak a bit my difficulty settings, I tried this skillAI: 0.7 and precisionAI: 0.45, and I could do the showcase without any problem, but I tried to do it again (because I like to test what I do several times), and I had problems again (at least my squad have better survival), I tried once with the same skillAI and precision in 0.35 (I think it was better but I don't tested it enought). One of the problem that i'm noticing is like I'm behind trees at 200m and get shot in the head from a solider in prone position exposed in the valley when i'm shooting at him, it could be their mate too, but their accuracy is extremly good, another time I'm behind a tree, I get shot, so I cover behind it and I got killed from 200 more or less meters, and I killing them is a lot of harder for me and my squad (which die quickly) I'm trying to adjust this a bit... Then I read that one user was playing fine with ASR3, and finally my question: I want to give a try to the default AI, is possible to tweak enough the default AI to do it less incredible accurate? (or need I to use mods to adjust this?)

    Arma 2: Namalsk Crisis

    Hello, i'm trying that campaing and I like it a lot!!, for me is scarier than the original stalker, (i'm not saying that the original stalker is bad, but the amosphere here is very scary in comparison, and the inability to move like the original stalker do the job harder. Nice job :D. But I'm having troubles killing the bloodsuckers can you guys give me some tips?, because I'm in the mission 7 Jamming and I had troubles killing the 3 bloodsuckers in Vorkuta, I had to go up stair in the nearest building next to the objective and kill the 2 of 3 bloodsuckers by shooting one entire mag in their head (well... their eyes xD), and the last of the bloodsuckers I had to throw 2 granades to him... But I have torubles killing only one, en the mission 6 the first one I killed him in the stairs in the building I get up with a saiga. And the other one I was lucky...

    The Undead Mod

    Hello!, sorry for the questions but I've been searching the internet for days and don't know how to solve it. I want to do a zombie sandbox mission. So I want the zombies be in towns and citys, I want to do the mission like, If I approach a city It start spawning zombies the more I approach the center the more zombies are and I want to do alot of them, a mass of them (like in the films). And if it is possible a mix of walkers (zombies) and a few infected (they are the less descompossed), but If it's possible I want to do zombies a bit faster and infected a bit slower. So the zombies are a bit scary and you can still fight infected once they are near to you. I want to do a system when you can sneak past them to scavenge cities, but If you are detected they are going to kill you (obviously), but surrounding you. And they continously spawn in waves if the fight lasts long (for infected for example). But you can still hide. But the zombies will be near the last location they spotted you. Then I want to do big and smalls groups migratings or spawn out of citys (Like in walking dead xD). Lastly I want to do bandits in gangs or alone ramdomly spawn towns with low population of zombies and another survivors ramdomly spawned in all locations. and camps of survivors and bandits. Is that possible?
  11. what is the problem with duala? i'm interesting because i'm doing a mission with this island, but i have problems (not with compatibility, i mean problems with briefing, and weapon selections), so i have not tested the mission :S 2 days ago i configured the Supply drop with this config (in the editor): [nil,nil,rEXECVM,"WICT\sandbox\sandbox_exe.sqf","WICT\support\","supplyDrop",10,position player, "C130J", (round(random 360)), 1000, ["HMMWV"],"all",true,"all",false,2,8,1] call RE; and in the cratefiller i added RH weapons classnames, but as i don't know how to add a custom group i added all in the west side and i active all sides. But i have a problem, when the mission start the supply drop is automatically dropped with reinforcements, so i don't know where it lands, i go to the hmmwv i see and i go to the gear option, but i don't see no more than 2 weapons only. In other hand, how can i disable automatic reinforcements and supply drop and how can i activate it manually? in comunication menu i don't see options :S Oh the last one, sorry, but the automatic reinforcements always kill the soldiers when they land this can be fixed? edit: sorry i have a quick question, is not very important but is a bit useful in a singleplayer mission, norrin revive script can be config for singleplayer? because i tried to config an script i downloaded from armaholic for singleplayer, but it seems to be incompatible with WITC the game closes giving error in soundcfg or something similar, so i deleted the script.

  13. hi i used the search button but i cannot find the answer for my question, in the warfare module at least how i saw in the mission "welcome to the war" (official mission) near the bases i can buy weapon, units and vehicle, how can i do that with WICT? and i read that u can do camp/bunkers spawn for defend the bases, can u do the same in WICT? (if not, is not a problem is only for better base capturing style)

  15. hi, i want to do a sniper mission with SOM, but i don't know if i can do assessination missions (maybe ambush?), and i don't know how to show the missions in the journal, and can i set the SOM in an specific area?, because i want to sniper from mountains to towns, for example and i don't want to do an objective in the other side of the mountain. Another question i only have used this module in one mission of red harvest but can i set the time to unlimited until i kill the target? and need i to poblate the towns and bases with soldiers with the help of a script or manually or the spec ops spawn the units?. I want to make a mission like in SP one shot one kill, but in free roam is this possible? and the last question, i saw in armaholic an ascript calles SOM mission menu, but the archive is damaged, anyone know how can i do this manually? Sorry but i need some answer for understanding better the editor and his scripts :S. If anyone can help me, and tell me if i can do this things with this module ( think it's the script that most closely resembles what I'm looking for that I write here, but could create a new thread talking about this if I look has nothing to do with the SOM Edit: i have now the SOM mission menu downloaded ( from Cobra4v320) but i have a question, how can i configure it?, in normal SOM, you can configure the distance between objectives and the time between the task, how can i configure it? so i can do missions with 5-15 minutes time? And Can i add a menu for random command?
