I´m a bit reluctant about posting in this thread as I get the impression a lot of posts will just go unnoticed, but here I go: Could you try to make the RV4 engine compatible with the Hyperformance mode found in the Lucid MVP Virtu software? This would enable the use of the integrated GPU found in recent cpus in conjunction with the dedicated one I´m pretty sure everyone here has. The performance improvements are big (based on no extended research,so please correct me if I´m talking non-sense), so such an engine could indeed benefit from the extra horsepower that would otherwise go wasted. Just give it a thought or even better... maybe an answer? :rolleyes: -
Will A3 benefit better of 6-cores as A2 or should we expect the same kind of performance? I´d assume 4-cores would do the trick if the AI is singled threaded but I could be wrong. Saving for a new pc codename "A3 MkI" ( :pc: ) and already gathering some intel. Thanks in advance

Great effort guys! Thanks to all teams of BIS working hard on releasing the games we enjoy!! BTW: Arma 3 is looking too good, could you make it a bit worse?! (joke) Keep up the good work!!!!!

^ Not sure if it´ll blind you through the hills, I`m gessing it won´t as the complete lighting has been overhauled pretty decently in order to make such problem dissapear (it should work as the new NVG does, having a wider variety of light values to soften the transitions effects) . What the new HDR does, is making a lightly bloomy outerline around the unit. You can see it in almost all videos when facing a dark area. I have seen this effect in a large variety of games and aslong it isn´t very pronounced, it should be good. Please feel free to correct me if I´m wrong, but don´t be too hard on me :p Also, could some dev inform us about the death-ragdoll effects when a unit is in a gunner position? Will it fall simply to the ground as standard ragdoll or will the animation play out after the unit is "kicked" from the gunner position?

^ I agree with the 3D editor, as a big part of the community, but I have to disagree about cutting the campaign. Believe it or not, some people like arma´s SP aspect and it seems (as stated by interviews and so on) that BIS have been working pretty hard on the campaign this time. Also how are the new custom reload animations impact modded weapons? Could the standard wave reload animation still be used for them or would the modder have to do such animation on his own?

Have you got any confirmation about weapon resting/ bipod systems?! Please share it, that may be for me one of the best features arma3 could have!!

I really hope it still is! I mean, look how many people are still playing the arma series, look at its community, look at the modders doing awesome stuff none of the devs could have even imagine of and all of that over several years... I hope BIS knows its true community and delivers some quality in Arma3. It would be a real shame to see a game like Arma suffer again from poor execution. I would be happy to tell them, go ahead and push the release date back one more time in orther to deliver the features they had already promised us, as Im assure most of you would also agree, because we plan to play this game over and over and over again as we did with all series. Arma games last years, is its true beauty. We´ve done enough waiting. Hm... was I too hard? Sorry but I really want to see Arma shine as it is, a mil-sim, our only mil-sim. So, with that said and if you excuse me, I´ll uninstall my ranting module and pretend none of this ever happenend... *I´M OUT*

MSAA is woking fine now... not much performance lines and no horrendous white outlines (I really hate them...) So, aslong as there are now white outlines (damn you...) I probably wont mind TXAA is not implemented, could it be done after launch in some sort of patch? -
Should the default FOV (Field of view) be higher?

I would like to see a slider too. I mainly have no problems with the "low ready" FOV, but when you turn your optics up, it feels like they are glued to your eye. I´m currently using a custom FOV but only when i`m aiming and it gives a nice overall feeling. I´m also a close friend of my ALT button in my keyboard xD The custom FOV for aiming can be found in the "TrueMods" mod, aswell as some other changes. Other than that, you can always doubletap the minus key in your Numpad to make the FOV higher, though I think you have to be aiming the gun in orther to make it work -
Indeed very nice script mate!! i´ve got a question though, does the fact that the AI in the video is using NVG´s affects the way it recognizes the threads? by threads i mean the guys standing on the other side of the searchlight. Lookinf forward to test this script. Cheers

I took a peek at the insurgency mission (v0.72 Zargabad) in the editor and tbh, i was a bit confused... I didn´t see any enemy or enemy vehicle at all... Mi question is, can this mission be played in SP? I saw a gamelogic named "server" and since i have no clue about how MP works, i don´t know if the server is the one responsible for enemy spawning or not... Sorry for the crappy explanation, english isn´t my mother language. Cheers EDIT: BTW, congrats on 1st price mate!

Awesome lil hud, works brilliantly. however i noticed while playing sp and switching to another playable unit, the hud dissapears and is never to be seen again by any unit(not even the original player) Does anyone how to fix this? hi mate, i just tried your mission and i encountered some issues. Neither my man or i have any weapons at all, not even NVG´s. i also noticed i wasn´t able to enter the 3rd person camera view, but that could be mission issue, so nevermind. i´m currently runnin this mods: -cba -ace -acex -ace_sm -rug_dsai -blastcore -csm2 -jtd -torabora -zeus ai -no blur and some other i´m pretty sure aren´t causing this problem. I also noticed there is no briefing in the mission, but again could be scripted by you. When I exit the mission i get this error: script scripts/upsmon.sqf not found. By reading the post, I´m sure this mission should be pretty good and stealthy, so keep up the good work. If you want to do some testing i would be very happy to help you (aslong as i only have to play the mission, i´m not very good at scripting, etc.) Cheers! Edit: oh btw, i´m running arma 2: co v1.57 and a pretty recent version of ace -

very nice mod, however i noticed it won´t work when reloading a save game. i tried it in a scenario mission i after i reloaded the savegame, i realized the mod was not working anymore. i do not know if this is related to the mission i was playing (custom scenario) or to the mod. anyways, this mod is very very good and pretty handy. any updates soon? cheers PS: sorry for the bad english
