  1. Love this mission - thanks for making. Any chance you could port to chernarus?
  2. I've tried with video memory set to default and I still get huge frame drops when looking through the scope.

I looked around online and went on overclock.net. The metro2033 benchmark is where it should be and they also said that the 3dmark 11 score is good too. I think that arma is the problem. I've played with the hdr, pp, aa, and viewdistance settings and none of them seem to change the framerate, especially on chernarus, so I'm not sure what's keeping them low.

I've tested in other games, here are some results: Metro 2033 benchmark: average 54 fps 3dmark 11: P6737 http://3dmark.com/3dm11/447069 Are those numbers normal?

I'm using 10.12, but I was using the 10.4 for a long time. I got decent performance in regular Arma 2 with the 10.4, but performance in OA wasn't great, probably because there isn't CF support for OA in the 10.4 drivers. I tried with the 2.4k viewdistance and I used gpu-z to check whether both gpu's are being used and I'm pretty sure they are. (I ran the game twice, using the different tabs at the bottom to select gpu and then checked the usage in the log. One gpu was between 80 and 100% and the other was around 80%.) I'm really not sure what the problem is but it's obvious that there is one.

I've heard that before, but surely that doesn't explain why I get such a low framerate on the benchmark (E08), especially when other people in here have posted numbers in the 70's or 80's with similar specs.

When I tried the benchmark using your settings, (except resolution at 1680x1050) I don't get anywhere near that fps. I only get 27 fps on the benchmark. Here are my specs: Intel i7 980, 3.6ghz Ati Radeon 5970, 2gb 12gb ddr3 ram 300gb hd, 10k rpm Any idea what's wrong?
  8. I've noticed I take a huge performance hit when enabling aa (about 10 fps). This doesn't seem to happen in normal Arma 2, just OA. My specs are below Specs: Intel i7 980, 3.6ghz Ati Radeon 5970, 2gb 12gb ddr3 ram 300gb hd, 10k rpm Using Catalyst 10.4 I wonder if the 10.4 drivers have different AA settings or something? I have aa set to application controlled in CCC with the box filter selected. Should I use different settings there?
  9. I changed the video memory setting from very high to default and that seems to have alleviated the problem somewhat.

    WarFX : Blastcore

I get LOD issues when using this mod; textures flash between high and low lod when I'm looking at them. I've tested and it only happens in OA when using certain versions of this mod. I've tried it with both blastcore and warfx 1.4. Warfx 1.4 works fine for me with regular Arma though. Any idea what could be causing it? Specs: Intel i7 980, 3.6ghz Ati Radeon 5970, 2gb 12gb ddr3 ram 300gb hd, 10k rpm Nevermind, setting video memory to default rather than very high solved the problem.
  11. I'm having the same problem. They don't seem to be as bad as some of you guys are having, but still enough to be annoying. I don't have any LOD issues with just normal Arma 2, only OA. I've also noticed that certain mods seems to make it slightly worse; Blastcore for example tends to exacerbate the problem. Specs: Intel i7 980, 3.6ghz Ati Radeon 5970, 2gb 12gb ddr3 ram 300gb hd, 10k rpm Using Catalyst 10.4
  12. I'm not sure if this is related but I've discovered that using drivers newer than 10.4 (I tried 10.10 and 10.12) means that Arma 2 incorrectly detects local vram, as reported in the config. It's possible that the bad vram value leads to the lod problems.

    VRam issue

I ran gpu-z and the clocks do go up when in game from 157/300 to 725/1000. I've tried crysis and stalker: call of pripyat on this rig with no problems - i can max all the settings and fps will rarely drop below 40-45. It's just this game that's giving me problems.

    VRam issue

After some testing, I've discovered that Arma 2 doesn't detect vram properly with 10.10 and 10.12 drivers, but it works with 10.4. I'd like to use newer drivers because of CF support for OA but the ones I've tried have this vram issue.

    VRam issue

When I use the -winxp switch, arma uses both gpus. No streaming video. What do you mean about 3d clock?
