Im pretty sure I read somewhere here that the devs are planning on changing the HDR stuff from what it was in OA to something better in A3. -
Hi all, I found the plain ArmA III T-shirt design to be just a bit bland, so I added on another BIS Arma III picture that I thought went well, and edited it a little so the "borders" of the picture wouldn't be so sharp against the background color of the shirt. So here it goes the link! Tell me what you Think! :p edit: nvm wont work :(

So as we all know BIS (or any company for that matter) can never have enough cash. But, seeing as they are not nearly as lucrative as most MAJOR game developers signed on to big publishers and yet at the same time are MUCH more talented and dedicated to their fanbase, I believe that BI are one of the few companies that WHOLLY deserve more of my money. Primarily so that they can fiscally afford to spend even more time developing big new improvements for and perfecting their wonderful games that we all know and love. Obviously leading to more sales and money/games for/from BI respectively. (At the very least this new revenue could be spent on marketing as I had never seen a SINGLE TV add for Arma 2 back in the day.) One easy stratagey to do this would be price increases (I personally hope for something marginal like 10-20 USD) that I for one would be happy to fork over for. (I do for most console games anywho) so Im providing a poll for you all to vote on... Also as a sidenote: (probably irrelevant but what the hell) Some avrg Joe consumers tend to assume that the more expensive products are of an innately higher quality so.....foodforthought;)

I know this is OT but im curios if anybody here has any sereious knowledge about this question: If Battlefield 3 was made as a High-end PC exclusive, could the graphics of the multiplayer matched the graphics found in the campaign? -

Excellet! those Graphics seem to be looking a bit better than the usual VBS2 fare, maybe there from the 2.0 version (I now they're going to demo it at ITSEC soon so it must be somewhat presentable) -

What would be the main course then good sir? And what will you be having for dessert shortly there after? -
ZOMG SO MUCH ACTION!! I want less quick cuts though. NEED MUCH MORE than 2 full seconds of actual A3 footage though, mostly Arma2 and VBS2 were in that super cool trailer! I thinkthe dark green looks uglier than what we saw at E3 thoug :/ :23 secs in.

Aw goddamitt, now me too!!
-
Wait are yous serious!? OMFG
-
I know you can do this in the editor, but can you confirm if this is possible in the middle of a mission on the fly? Cause i'm not so sure it is...

Does anybody know if any "mainstream" review sites will be publishing a review right after release for this game? More publicity is always nice, and the sooner the better! (I think DCS A-10c review was published like a month after release or something!) -
Although as a (albiet maybe small from your POV) counter-argument I would say that my personal beleif (contrary to all the options I put on the poll) would be a $10 increase (some PC exclusive games like Starcraft 2 did this and their fanbase cared enough about the game to NOT care about the small price increase, (that is, after all, equal with 99.99% of all console games launch prices) as it was still WILDLY succesful, and to most people (even those who are not at all financially affluent) $10 more for something they love and hold at a high value is nothing. Or, for newbies, a game that is rumored/appears to have a higher value than most other games they have played and payed for (assuming they at least GOOGLE or read the back of the game box) and looks fairly interesting to them, you cannot say that they will think "Hey im thinking of getting this game soon, it looks like it could be really cool, *looks at $60 price tag* no way in hell am I buying this thing, too fucking expensive!" at worst he would just wait several months for a price drop to around $50 or less, which may even be a good thing since maybe less bugs will be around to put him off of the game. Common sense would indicate that most people visiting a game store (unless they have a specifc intention otherwise, like a cheap trade in on their mind) have the intention of spending AT LEAST $50-$60 so why not shoot for the upper end of the margin?) And FYI $20 increase is as high as I would go. For I know $70 is starting to push it and it might MAYBE risk SOME one's willingness to CONSIDER buying the game. $30 or more though and I have no doubt that it WILL put off some people, and would NOT be worth it in the end, so I do agree with your idea, just not as much as you do.

This + a general reduction of the rediculous wObbLeInG that plauges almost all arma weapons when the player is moving while aiming down the sight, this will also make CQC much easier for players. -
I already made a thread about this awhile ago, but there was no official response:(
-
I seem to remember seeing somewhere (maybe the OLD Arma3 website) mentioning this cool feature. Seeing as it has just appeared in VBS2 and that the whole catagorizing of weapons is now indipendant of their varying attachments I was wondering if anyone else has spotted this or not.

Yeah it was very good! I just wish that we wouldn't have to scour seemingly irrelevnat articles (this was about arma X after all) for details, its been too long of a lapse in info from BI ( near 50 days of near silence is near too much for me to take!) I would atleast want some paltry screenshots of the game in action to whet my appetite. -

http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/10/08/arma-x-anniversary-edition-review/ "The Armory system will be used to generate missions that form part of the main story of Arma 3, the game building the story around you, but right now it’s the easiest way of getting into the game for a quick tank vs sniper battle with friends. " So the multiplayer Armory system will be used to randomly generate missions throught the campaign for Arma 3. Good news :) -
"The challenging art of freedom » Bohemia Interactive: Stepan Kment, Ivan Buchta The presentation deals with the development challenges associated with creating an openly structured gameplay in a military simulation game. It provides overview and assessment of general requirements, technological limitations and design solutions employed in the development of the Bohemia Interactive’s past titles. Animations and environment are discussed in greater detail. An insight to real time animation presentation subsystem in Arma engine is provided. Attendees will be given various examples and case analyses of real in-game situations, which may help them either to design gameplay to avoid possible issues or to design animation subsystem of their real-time engine in order to handle such issues acceptably. The overview of the terrain creation method is provided as another example of the unique approach to Bohemia Interactive’s gaming projects. The requirements of game design and relationships of the gameplay and terrain are widely discussed, with the in-game examples of the resulting virtual landscapes. Also, the AI-related aspects of the terrain design are brought to attention of the attendees. The speech is concluded by the examples of the discussed areas in the development in Arma 3. The acceptable level of abstraction in a game presentation is discussed as a viable approach in a large-scale simulation." Cause this sound really interesting!

Couldn't find anything using the search function... If they do already, what is the AI's behavior once they run out of ammunition? If around, will the AI pick up other weapons/ammo found in the environment by deafualt?
