  1. I just upgraded from a 955 Quad Core to an i5 2500. How much better will my game run (I used to be having 15 FPS) 8 GB DDR3 1600 mhz 6950 2 GB Unlocked
  2. Well, I'm having some problems with low FPS and it's bothering me alot. I play at high textures, low terrain, low objects, no post processing, normal AA, and 4000 view distance. I get around 26 FPS constant on a 14 man server online. This is with a recent fresh reinstall of Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit A new 6950 2 GB flashed to a 6970 2 GB A AMD Phenom II Quad Core @ 3.2 Ghz And 4 gigs of RAM. What am I doing wrong? I'm running the latest beta patches, combined operations, and ACE2. Oh, and at 1440 x 900 all in windowed
  3. I have a question about targeting vehicles with a joystick - I'm the pilot in an Apache and I can't seem to find or show any targets on the map. I've mapped my joystick button #2 to next target and button #3 to lock & zoom. However, as I mash these buttons, nothing comes up. The interesting part is that it works with the default tab key. Can anyone help?
  4. Setting my priorities in task manager to realtime helped increase FPS alot. Is there anything else I can do? Can I push my graphics card somehow?
  5. Yes, it was co-op multiplayer, but it's like this in any multiplayer game, even if it's just me and another friend (without AI). I will consider getting a 5850 in the near future. Should those do fine?
  6. If I do upgrade in the future, would an investment towards a better graphics card be worth it?
  7. Same performance without overclock, yes. Not sure about my 3d mark scores, never bothered with those. I've turned off both Vsync and Post Processing. I have not tried the latest ATI drivers, nor have I defragged in a while. I will try those, thanks!
  8. I've just gotten OA today in hopes that it brought better performance to my computer. Unfortunately, it didn't. I'm hovering around ~22 FPS in multiplayer, no matter what settings I'm at. 4 gigs RAM Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit ATI 4870 512 MB AMD 955 BE X4 overclocked to 3.5 ghz What am I doing wrong? Seriously - at very low at 800x600 resolution it's the exact same as very high at 1680x1050
  9. I have an a decent rig - but for some reason my FPS is 27 fps at very low at 640 x 480 and around 19 on very high at 1680 x 1050 (Duala). AMD Phenom II X4 955 @ 3.2 Ghz 4 gigs of 667 Mhz DDR2 RAM 500 GB of disk space Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit ATI 4870 512 MB I've tried tweaking it so much, nothing seems to be helping. Also, all of this is multiplayer. Single player runs 50+ fps on very high in the same map. It's not internet lag either.
  10. My settings don't seem to matter - I get the same FPS for whatever settings I pick (very high or very low).
  11. Should my set up be only getting around ~27 FPS on normal settings at 1440 x 900? Video Card: ATI Radeon 4870 512 MB CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 @ 3.2 Ghz RAM: 4 gigs @ 667 MHz DDR2 OS: Windows Vista Ultimate 32 bit
  12. So, I just bought a new CPU to play ArmA 2 a bit smoother than before and was disappointed that my FPS always hovered around 26-29. Here's the catch - it's like this on almost every setting (Very high brings it to around 23, Normal makes it 26-29, and most importantly, Very Low on 800 x 600 resolution still results in 26-29 FPS). Here are my specs: CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 @ 3.2 Ghz GFX: ATI Radeon 4870 512 MB RAM: 4 GB OS: Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit. I also run ArmA 2 with these launch parameters: -winxp -maxmem=2047 -cpuCount=4 -nosplash And my drivers are updated. Any help or tips are greatly appreciated.
