It is exactly my position at this time : this mission seems really well built but I will not downlaod all those mods as I am already using a quite complete set of mods (CBA, RHS, AIA TP, ASR AI...) There must be some redundancies between RHS, Massi's 4 mods, Leight and CAF ? -

BE updated manually but still fail to launch. I will stay with BE disabled and only test with Horus cmd line this weekend. -

This CMD line seems to work for me at the moment. I will try later this weekend but I have been able to start Arma3 with Reshade, 6 times in a row without any false start. However it does not seem to solve the Battleye incompatibility that I have with Real Light (still need to disable Battleye). Thank you Horus. I am also running Win7 64 and HPET enabled in BIOS. -

I believe this problem will be hard to solve... It seems to happen just randomly : two days ago I was able to play with all my mods + RealLight (great addition to the game, thank you Soldano ;) ) but yesterday, just to try, I was unable to launch the exact same game : I did not change anything from one day to the other (even concerning my driver, windows update or anything else on the PC). And today, I also tried to launch with the exact same config as two days ago and yesterday : it just starts normally. Maybe something to do with the launcher? I don't know. I also get the error message described by Moon_chilD when I kill the background Arma3.exe. I remember the dxgi log seems to stop at this line when it doesn't work : "Redirecting 'D3D11CreateDeviceAndSwapChain(025D59E0, 0, 00000000, 0, 00000000, 0, 7, 17750C1C, 00A3F788, 00A3F784, 17750C60, 00A3F78C)' ..." But as it works today, I can't give you the total log produced when the launching fails. I have win7 pro 64, Nividia GTX970, Arma3 on stable build. -

I am not so sure because I have disabled BattlEye several days before I encountered those "non-launching" problems. Sorry to sound unconstructive but it really seems to be hard to find where the culprit is. The only action which allowed me to start again Arma3 + real light + mods was to copy-paste back CBA files from the same version as before. During my previous tests, I always kept BattlEye disabled. I also had this problem with arma3.exe running but nothing happened (staying on desktop). Try first to start with real light but no mods. For me, it was starting the game normally with real light also running as expected. Since it was a problem with Real light + another mod, I have found that it was due to CBA_A3... And the most strange in this situation is that I just reinstalled the same version of CBA (the last one, up to date, that was already installed) and now I can use all my mods + real light. Really strange. -
Ok thank you Orcinus, I also use Notepad ++. ;-) What Zbug told me works like a charm to fight on the right side. But I had to modify on more thing in order to not start as a CSAT soldier in the middle of the russian RHS fighters : I had to replace, in the editor, the units from vanilla one (CsAT) to RHS one (RHSAFRF). Then save this mission and put it in the modified pbo. The classnames.sqf modification is not sufficient if you want to first spawn with the good appearance.

I am also having great fun with this one. I only play it in SP, with RHS units. But I would like to play it in SP on the OPFOR side. I have modified the mission.sqm in the editor to play on the red side. Then saved it and put in a pbo. But one of the init script, I suppose, force my well-spawned soldier to be on the Blufor side... I really don't know what to modify in those multiple scripts. I notice that in multiplayer, self hosted server and only player, I spawn on the right side. But not integrated in a squad. So I really want to launch it in SP. I would be glad to hear a small hint. Thanks

Ok, thank you for this explanation. I think I will have to wait for a config file that merges the three RHS factions I need into one (I remember that someone on your HAL thread has been talking about that... maybe I am wrong).

I don't know if JCae2798 keeps an eye on HWS updates but it is quite easy to bring HWS to others map. As explained in first post it can be done in 5 minutes. The only difficulty if you have not done it, is to find how to de-PBO (I use cpbo). Here is what I have done this weekend, HWS 1.06 ported to Chernarus summer - Takistan - Zargabad. Requires CBA_A3 and AiA_TP. https://www.dropbox.com/s/sycsqacur5kzev2/HWS_106_ported.zip?dl=0 Besides, I have a question for Rydygier : do you know a simple way to call for two (or more) factions for one side in your mission ? I explain : I came back to your HWS mission with the RHS Escalation coming. But the problem is that for russian side, infantry, tanks and artillery are in 3 different factions (or groups, don't know how to call that). I would like to play against a unique US Army faction (West) using at the same time units from three different factions at the East side (MVS, TV, RVA). Is it possible using for example the scripting window on the launching menu ? Or anything else (even if I have to de-PBO...) ? Thanks

Same here with Dev Branch of the game. I think that does not happen when you use Stable Branch. -
Sorry for late reply, I was away for working purpose... You are right, Rydygier, with both names (with underscore or a dot), your mission will initialize perfectly in SP. In MP, the "dot" named version will CTD but it is not a problem because this mission is meant to be launch in SP. In fact, the "underscore" named version run flawlessly in MP even if it is not designed to. :) Good luck, it is a very promising mission.

Hi Rydygier, great mission you are developping. It is the kind I like : a little as Flashpoint:Chernarus by ThomsonB on Arma 2 when, every time you launch the mission, you are in the middle of a new situation, hopeless or not but very immersive. :D By the way, I would like to bring to you the fact that the naming of the pbo for the beta version 3 is not correct : it leads to an error message when you launch the mission. Players have to rename it "HWS_1_04_beta3.Altis.pbo" instead of "HWS_1.04_beta3.Altis.pbo"

Really strange... I am unable to reproduce it today with the exact same versions of IF44 for Arma3, AiA standalone. :confused: For sur IF44 for A3 and AiA standalone are in their latest version (I have installed them last weekend and taken from dev.withsix.com pages). I also use the stable branch of A3. The first time I noticed this was with "Kurozweki_Cauldron.Staszow" mission taken from here http://www.missionrepository.com/if-sp-staszow . The Panzer HE slowdown was reproduced yesterday in the editor putting one Panzer V on Baranow map and firing HE rounds on the floor. It seems to be randomly happening. Just to verify here is my mods order : "-mod=H:\Bohemia Interactive\@LIB_DLC_1;H:\Bohemia Interactive\@IF_Other_Addons;H:\Bohemia Interactive\@IF;@CBA_A3;@AllInArmaStandalone;H:\Bohemia Interactive\@IFA3M;@IFA3" (Arma2Co is located at H:\Bohemia Interactive\) By the way, I still can't play with sounds enabled in the Panzer V, the interior sound seems to be played very weirdly and it produces a loud and ear-splitting signal (like an alert signal). -

Yes I confirm the abysmal fps when there is HE explosion (between 1 and 3 fps during around 1 minute). I am affected by this problem when HE artillery explosions are played. I didn't test tank HE rounds though but it may be the same. IF44 for Arma3, AiA standalone, no other mods. Edit : further tests and yes, huge slowdown is also noticeable when Panzer V HE rounds explode. It doesn't seem to happen with other HE tank's rounds (Soviet and German tanks tested). The ear-splitting sound is also noticed when you move the Panzer V turret as gunner. -

Ok this explain why I aslo notice very often some bullet impact dusts in the air next to me when I get prone to avoid ennemy bullets. Too bad, and I just hope that those impacts do not modify the bullet trajectories for the man who are behind me... :-S- 5767 replies
