OK, this was supposed to be a suprise, but now... Internal demo is INTERNAL demo, and you won't see it. But don't worry, in August we'll release Karbala 2004 Mod Mini-Demo that'll include more stuff. Anyway what we've done are weapons (still having some issues with them, weapons on screenshots are done by OFPL, not us), soldiers (3 models - but these are base-models that'll be modified - we're adding more stuff to them) and music. We've also Honker model, but it needs better textures. I can't tell you more, it is still a suprise. Hi! Recently we've updated Miho's units. Now almost all LODs are done, we have second type of vest (Polish woodland camo - used also in Iraq) and better textures. From now on we'll be adding more equipment on the models - like watches, short sleeves, boonie hats etc. We're also doing P-83 model, first screens of alpha version soon (along with some old WIP screens). If it's Tu-142 then I'd go with Kh-55. I don't know if Tu-95MS16 can be equipped with free-fall bombs or only missiles, but if it can, and if you can make this plane look like Tu-95, then I'd go with rockets and bombs... It's up to YOU! :)

One word: BIG. Even without textures it looks great, now we need only old Gnat's submarines as a target :) Thanks for the tailgun :D What weapons loadout do you plan?

Hello! Our site is back, but url has changed. Now it's here: http://www.karbala2004.ubf.pl/. We had little problems with previous one and I decided to "restart" the site. Nevertheless, it's still under construction, but you can already read first WIP report and look at one screenshot of our Polish soldiers (done by Miho). We'll soon post new photos, but Miho must send them to me, or post by himself :) When Wanad and soldiers will be ready, we'll have little suprise for all of you ;)

Offek 9 is third working Israeli spy-satellite. Previous were Offek 7 (2007) and Offek 5 (in 90's - first Offek was launched in 1988, see here, if you know Polish: http://www.altair.com.pl/start-4700). System will be ready with 4th working satellite - Offek 8 (it's planned to launch this year). So something is really going on, but then again, system was designed years ago. Also, somebody can say, Israel made new Galil-system rifle (see Eurosatory 2010), but it won't be used by Israeli army. Two months ago Israel claimed that Lebanon buys Scuds from Syria. Of course it was a lie - nobody saw on their satellite photos Scud launchers riding through Syria (remebmer that Scud launchers are big - easily seen from space, see here: http://www.altair.com.pl/start-4412). Again, everybody claimed that Israel is going to attack Lebanon. And what? Two months of silence. I think, that we won't going to have war between Israel - somebody this year, they have too much problems with Gaza...

I've managed to play your missions, and I think that they were OK, although, Karttula AA guard was too much chaotic for me (planes should be seen after some time, not at the very begining), and police patrol is... boring, no action here. For your future missions, please remember it is nice if intro and briefing contain some story, and in overview, never ever use pictures from Paint :) Because it is pain(t) in the *ss...

Personally, I doubt it. Footmunch's Tu-22 is really fast and (if you really want) it can do a barrel-roll :) And I never had any problems with tail gun, even with many units. Of course that depends on how much is many for you, but let's say 5-10 other airplanes, and the same number of land vehicles, and some soldiers if you want. But, I suppose that in most of missions, player won't be piloting your Tupolev - so you could add even more units in the mission, and nobody will see that tail gun is little slower than plane itself. So tail gun would be a nice addition, if somebody want to shoot this beast :cool:

Sad news here: Unfortunately, three of team members left the mod, at least for some time. These members are G44, Bielow and Guziczek101. We would like to thank them for all their work, and we still hope that they'll come back sometime. So from now they are only three team members: me, miho, and USMCSonic. Also, STGN offered us some of his high quality M4s. So to sum up what we have: Polish soldiers alpha (by miho), music (by Bielow, G44 and USMCSonic and more is on the way), enivroment sounds alpha (by me). Also BronzeEagle allowed us to use parts of his Code Blue units v 1.0 and Vilas allowed us to use parts of his ArmA/ArmA2 addons of Polish Army. Thanks! Now miho is polishing his soldiers and I'm doing P-83 Wanad pistol which was used by Polish Army during battle for Karbala in 2004. PS. Our site is still unavailable. Sorry for double-posting.

As far as we're concerned, in 2004, Polish Contingent in Iraq used P-83, not WIST's. Radom MAG-95/-98 were never used by Polish Army (they've chosen WIST nad Walther P90 instead). If your friend won't mind, we could have some other questions to him... To all: our website is currently unavailable due to maintenance issues.

But new units and equipment is in work, I think you saw screens of miho's units, and yesterday I started P-83 Wanad pistol model - it should be ready in 3-4 weeks time, mainly because of poor quality photos I'm using for reference. And very, very big thanks to BronzeEagle! From this moment "Plan B" is ready :D

Little suggestion - to make breaching option no nonsense you should add also option to "lock" the doors when mission starts. This way player will be forced to use breaching charge. I think you can do it by adding script...

This you'll see in SP and MP missions. Campaign will focus on Battle for Karbala and town hall siege. Mil helicopters, BRDM-2M96, Tarpan Honker (I'll try also make a little bonus - civilian Tarpan 239D pickup ;) ), ZU-23, firearms - yes. Falcon, Tumak (polish name for HMMWV) - very likely. Orbiter, PKM and NSW (NSV) - maybe, but I don't think that we'll made PKM and NSV because they are almost identical to it's Polish modernised derivatives - UKM and WKM-B (WKM-B is .50 BMG version of WKM-UTIOS which is... Polish-made NSV). Beryl rifles will come in three versions: - basic wz.96 (also with Pallad GL) - 2004 modification, informally called wz.2004 (with Picantinny, and front handle) - wz.96 Commando (similar to wz.2004 but with SOPMOD-style buttstock, only short serie made, for GROM operators). Wz.2004 and Commando can't be equipped with GL or bi-pod. All three variants can be equipped with long Picantinny rails and Polish mount for additional optical-sights (wz. 2004 and Commando have also additional rails for flashlights or laser-sights, wz. 2004 can be equipped with Eotech).

Little proposition: when you'll finish this, maybe you can make it compatible with Gnat's Virtual Bomber? It allows the bomber to act like a... bomber, because in vanilla OFP planes are diving to attack enemy.

Another original and innovative mod from ProfTournesol! You've made WWI mod, Napoleonic Wars, Civil War, now this. Nobody before made such mods, which present totally different warfare than in original OFP. We had great and innovative mods (SLX, Sanctuary animations, CoC just to name a few) but something like THIS... You're just like Columbus :D

Just want to say that my O2 skills can't be even called "rookie" so talented modeller with a lot of free time is still wanted ;)

If Reyhard won't mind it, I can also test this mod :) Just kidding, I hope that LibMod guys will be satisfied with mod's quality and soon we will have it. PS. Have Reyhard thought about units from ACSR and September 39 mods? As far as I'm concerned authors of both are still active in Forums, so maybe in somekind of patch?

I've already looked at this site, but, oh well, at least you tried... Maybe they use their own secret stealth trucks? :D But, then again, what about rifles and pistols? I know that they use 7,62mm AK's, and FN's (FAL and F2000 since 2009) in special forces... But I'm interested in their GPMG's and sniper rifles. What type they use? Globalsecurity has nothing about this...

Hi! I have a question about equipment of Libyan Army: I want to know what types of trucks and cars they use. UAZ's, URAL's, ZIL's or maybe something from Europe or South Africa? Or something completely different? And what kind of firearms they use? I couldn't find it in the net, all I know is what tanks and apc's they use, but nothing about trucks, cars and rifles.

The parade will take place on May 9 (tommorrow) which is russian Day of Victory. And not only Brits and Americans will parade but also soldiers from Representation Company of Polish Army - this is very suprising, because soviet attack on Poland (September 17 1939, part of Ribbentrop-Molotov pact) in Russia is known not as soviet introduction to World War II but as 'liberation of western Ukraine'. In Russia World War II is known as Great Patriotic War and it's beginnig is dated on June 22 1941. Not to mention that the name 'Day of Victory' is somehow ironic because on the same day, we can say, started another - Cold - war. Cold War was also an effect of Soviet-British-American talks in Yalta where this three countries divided the world in two parts: communist Eastern Block, and democratic Western Europe with US. Yalta conference and it's resolutions were supposed to prevent another war - now after 65 years we can see how stupid were the leaders of US, UK and USSR, or how big liars there were... It is sad to say so, but it is true. Nevertheless, russian parade is always big event and if somebody is interested in RF military it is worth watching!

I've downloaded FDF month ago :) Why? Because I have Resistance since last year (before I was playing CWC for few years, I couldn't find any legal copy of Res), and I think that maybe FDF is not the best looking mod, but still it is one of the most interesting and innovating (moveable MG's, tripwires...). And islands are just beautiful! So, I will apreciate more missions for this mod.

If you're looking for Vietnam era Hueys then probably the best is CSJ UH-1 pack here. But for newer versions of UH-1 I don't know, Vit released some, but they are very old, today probably nothing interesting...
