The expansion will be worth it aslong as BIS gets the Engine optimized and fix all of the LOD issues, Special Effects and Lighting problems, the content alone is great but I want to see some cool changes and gameplay mechanics added. PS: I like the Bag mechanic BIS keep it up looks great. :D -

This is copyright issues, unless BIS just doesn't give a crap, but modders do recieve fame and they got work to put in a portfolio which could land you a nice paying job. :) -

I want an estimated release date because I can't wait for this game to work properly the gameplay is going to be very immersive especially with FLIR and LINDA. :D If I recall correctly one of the BIS Devs said that when Arrow Head Ships the engine will be almost fully optimized and complete, thats when I think BIS will do a port to consoles, and thats when my PC will be able to run this game well on Awesome graphic settings. :dancehead: -

BIS Please make the commanding circle actually 3D its really hard to use. Be able to switch weapons while running or walking. glitch with sunglases on certain character models using freelook u can see them. Add Editor enhancements I love using the editor, make presets and more tabs like Weapon Loadouts. :) Actual .50 cal bullets coming out of the M107 not little 556 bullets. LOL -
He's talking about at far distances... It only looks half decent at 5 feet away, other than that :mad: I have mods and settings on high don't see a differance and I could care less for the trees anyways not like I hide in them...

The game would run alot smoother if on an island like Sahrani. :) I think it would've been better if BIS stayed to the Desert setting, Trees that are destructible use up alot of resources :mad:

The guns hit detection is horrible overall not a gun to use in this game knowing almost everyone will wear kevlar. :D BIS or Mods can you please make MP5 with Aimpoint, remodel the gun (looks bad), sound effect sounds too wimpy, I've shot one before and give it some better hit detection and I'll start setting up some CQB. :) -

I have a request since I neither know how to make textures or even mod a game, complete noobie. I would love to see a Texture pack for Units and for Buildings and the Terrain, especially at long distances, even with the LandTex mod they still look really muddy like in OFP. I would love to see more in-depth textures, with better contrasts and color pallete, eg, Higher Resolution uniform textures without having to have the 3D Res all the way at 200%, In first person the textures shouldn't look muddy or low res. (I currently have my config at 100% 3D Res BTW :) ) But, overall more High Res textures with more normal/bump maps, parallex to them, like some improved grass texture and Road textures, maybe some added foilage like flowers and stuff to give the game alittle more color and make the cities and towns look more life like, less dull textures. Also I would like a simple Mod, that fixes clippings on Uniforms like weapons going through arms and chest armor, being able to look through your launchers on your back etc. Thanks and hopefully somebody will make it reality. :dancehead: -

I know how to change a tire but Im not going to learn to code just to get some basic gameplay that should've already been built into the AI in the first place, maybe buying this game was a mistake. DM I thought your had 4,000 posts yesterday you made 2,000 posts in one day???? Or is there someone mimicking the elite? -
Hopefully Arma 2 will be fixed faster than Armed Assault....

I know its my loss but BI can atleast provide some of the basic options like Respawns, basic AI objectives and stats. Thats like me selling you a Car without a Warranty and service and asking YOU to learn how to fix you car when it needs it, not everyone will, I think BIS relied way too much on you guys and the modding community to do their patch work. Oh wait a minute you were expecting a Modern Day Military Simulator without Flashlights/FLIR/PEQ??? What a lie, thats what I mean they should've put aside time to develope those for ARMA2 there acting like its new technology that the Military is starting to use.... See where im getting at? Im not bashing them but somethings they put into Arma 2 are completely un-necessary to gameplay like Civilians/RTS elements/ fauna and the armory. They should've added those features in the expansion. But Arma 2 should've shipped with the vital equipment that's needed for almost any modern day battlefield situation FLIR/PEQ/Flashlights. BIS needs to focus on the actual Simulation part before adding all of these other modules and such. :) But OA will deffinetly be worth the purchase and I really hope it adds to the simulation/realism more thats why I bought the game! -

Make AI More realistic without all of the extra scripting especially for Mp gamemodes, all they do is spawn kill or spawn camp and hardly ever use any tactics, besides hit the dirt. :mad: I really don't like the AI in this game....... FLIR/Flashlights/PEQ should've been in Arma 2 so I don't count those as new features. I would really like to just see alot of engine improvements, way improved interface for editor and command system, Improved preformance of the engine, more variety in cities and towns, maybe a big building for some CQB, large, room breaching commands, flash and flare grenades. But I want to see more gamemodes, more options for editor, gamemode setups, actually advanced AI without the scripting but if you want to script you can make it even more advanced, since not everyone who buys this game will want to invest time to learn boring code. :j: and variety, being able to customize your loadout without using premodeled weapons like the G36 Aimpoint SD, how about G36 ACOG SD??? More accessible and Documentation with game. -

BIS put more on their plate than they could eat, like having the Real Time Strategy elements in the game and adding in alot of Civilians and make two islands, the game would've been more polished if the Devs introduced the small things like mentioned in an expansion or update. Also I bet the programmers over at BIS were working to death those people had alot of stuff to work on. :eek: Hopefully the game gets some big updates fast, because OFP DR comes out in a few days and I need to make a fair judgment on which game will recieve my Best Military Sim of This Generation Award. Which BIS might want because I give the Dev of the game who one 125k :) -

Agreed. Looking at Red Orange trees is a nightmare right now but its being taken care of atm. I wouldn't mind a whole entire section called Scripts/Templates for Editor. I'll tell you I read Mr Murrays Editor and my head is just spinning. :o This scripting stuff is kind of intimidating to me, it wouldn't hurt if BIS would just provide some of the basic things for any Shooter game like Gamemode templates so you can easily make CTF games in which AI actually go capture the flag, Deathmatch games where you can easily just choose the section on the islands where you want to play, Respawn options before any Co-op mission, MP game would be nice even if its easy why doesnt BIS just throw it into the game :confused: Weapon loadout Screens Easily add more AI to MP games from the Lobby, Briefings Tab, and default objectives for each gamemode. IE CTF: BIS make it so when on "Default" have the AI move to Flag/capture Flag and score, and AI to use available objects to their dispense. As I said alot of this stuff might be easy but if its so easy why doesn't BIS just provide it in the game, alot of people would just like some of the basic things in the package. Please BIS Do a big update for the editor, me and my friend love playing MP with just AI but the AI will only stay at their spawn, come to our spawn and spawn kill us for the whole game or just randomly run around the map with no formation. LOL -

@Norsu What I would like to see in the video options: Unit Viewdistance: This would stop Aircraft from dissappearing at short distances Get rid of Object detail and replace it with Fine Details: Decals and such Units Details: Building Details: Vegetation Details/density: and while you're at it give us Motion blur option. -
I agree with you 110% it seems BIS was rushed, I assume and flaked on the total realism of all weapon stats, my friend from the Armed Forces said the same thing the first time we played Arma2, these guns shoot nothing like in real life and some of these weapons are plain wrong. :p BIS should look into them, alot of weapons seem like after thoughts to BIS, G36 Aimpoint, Pistols, MP5, SVD

Great info Ohara this fix should give alot of people that extra preformance so they can enjoy the game at playable frame rates when near them. Can't wait for news. Remember those killer trees I think are on both Islands. :) -

your complaint is legit but you're basically flaming BIS which will get you banned fast. Ohara is already sharing this info with the rest of the devs so be patient coding isn't fast or easy. :cool: -

Dead wrong.... Read post above My FPS can get sliced in HALF if looking at several of these trees at a close LOD. BTW: 3D Resolution only set to 80% I have an ATi 3650 512MB and normal settings, 45FPS to 20 and below, these trees need some shaving.
