    hehe, nono its not so simple. i'm working on a script to drag both alive units and corpses, right now i need to name the "class" or "parent class" of the corpses.

    well the first answer of TANKBUSTER was more or less what i needed! with that i was able to define my custom list of objects / vehicles kind to add to the script! as i saied, soldiers not working is probably a problem inside script !

    Well....my code is the "R3F_log" logistic script, hehe, a bit too long to, but the relevant part is very simple,and thanks to your suggestions i already made it work !! Yeeah ! (Now my problem is to add soldiers too, but its probably related to script because they dont work right now )

    nice, thanks! so, lets say i wish to include everything in a script, men, vehicles and objects. how should i name them ? for example: "allvehicles" to have all vehicles included?
  6. hello all! i'm trying to get a working "push" script for MP, JIP and respawn, for the infantry. the idea is to be able to push everything that can be somehow pushed (i was thinking about a check about object mass, so it can work for players,light vehicles and all light objects) the final result i wish is to have vehicles like boats, and helicopters (maybe without parking brakes) pushed, but not buildings or heavy tanks. i already tried all the scripts i found on armaholic, but noone satisfy my needs. some were good, but dont work with objects added by zeus (seems they indicize map objects at start). can anyone help me? i found this simple push script, that works perfectly, the only trouble is that you have to initialize the object with the code in the first line, so cant work on objects added by zeus. maybe someone can help me to modify it to work for everything! PS: as extra feature, if possible, i wish to add damage to "pushed" players/AI, so it double as a kind of melee damage!

  8. hi all ! i discovered this awesome script, and trying to introduce into my own mission ! i just wish 2 little tweaks: 1) cannot exclude an object that for gameplay reasons must be non-movable (thats very important, can break gameplay). 2) make you can melee-kill everybody (afterall if i want melee a civilian i should be able to do it!). huge thanks for this awesome script ! T H A N K S !! PS: i've actually make Zorylia 3D explosives script work in my mission, togheter with SMS script to get the best from both! (claymore wire 3D setup is toooo cool). contact me if interested!

    MP and JIP push script

    i've almost solved this problem,but i really need help on this. the objective is to have a "kill" action working on everyone, while a "join squad" action working only on same faction (or side). here's the relevant part of the code: in fact here is a situation where script choose IF side=x THEN "kill" ELSE "join_squad", and i wish to have kill for every faction (everyone) and join only on same faction! can someone help me on this? thanks !!

    [R3F] Logistics

    i just discovered the awesome R3F logistic script, i was disappointed by how awesome its is ! (shame on BIS, haha) looking at the script and testing it, i wished to add few simple objects, and use it more widely to push big boats back in water or move an helicopter landed "just too near to that tree". and move also players, to drag them out of fire or help them climb an object. i readed the manual, but was not clear what exactly do to add objects (or where get objects/vehicles/players) name to the list of movable objects! can someone elp me please? huge thanks! ******* E D I T ********* i menaged to add some vehicles....is there any way to add them all without write each one by hand ? i'm really worried about adding all objects 1 by 1 ! i noticed it doesnt work for soldiers....why? thanks! **** E D I T - I I **** no way to make it work on soldiers...any idea?

  17. hi all! to cut it short....are 16 years that i suffer from missing features like "attach mines to vehicles" and so on, and i tried to post on general topic a possible solution, but topic was closed asap, seems they like bugs, not solutions! ...so...i'm searching a script maker, good enought to understand/create complex script for MP with JIP in mind, that help me to merge togheter already existing and working scripts, adapt them to the needs, and make sure they all works for good in a MP/JIP environment. obviously, for your time i will offer a generous donation, and the glory will still be yours !! note that i will not asking impossible or too complex features, just already existing ones to be merged togheter (i understand it may mean in some cases to rewrite the script, but thats why i need your help!) in fact i made most of them work togheter, but i lack scripting skills, and i feel its kind of "not efficient" and wish to make them more streamlined! as examples, i will need to merge scripts that: enable charges to be attached to objects and vehicles, and underwater. interact with ambient objects , like move a box. set hand grenades launch force ecc... if interested, please contact me at ddelfino@hotmail.com thanks for your time guys!
  18. hi all. now that ARMACHINIMA has ended, i wish to point your attention on a very funny (or very sad) thing: some videos (like mine, to be clear) got 72 visualization (not votes, i mean ==>> visualization! ) while others in the magnitude of 7000 to 9000 and more. considering i know that me and my friends visualized it for more or less 30 to 40 times, and excluding them, it means only 30 or less people loaded the video !! now, lets say the cover picture was ugly, or the title was boring or god knows what else....but seems way too far from realistic numbers! beware: i dont want absolutely contest the content of videos, surely the 10 finalist are better made than mine, for example, nothing to say about it. the problem in my opinion is that people doesnt even know whats inside the most of the 128 videos of the contest! despite putting a lot of efforts in the video, not even being considered at all.... is a bit sad, hoped that people at least give it a look, consider it garbage and move on, thats fine for me. anyway ...i wish to suggest another system for the future contests, because honestly i think everyone in this situation will simply stop to partecipate. PS: can the number of votes be public now ?
  19. the ARMAIII needed fix DLC : PLEASE, before pool, read all the post! (you can skip hidden content if you already know the story...) hi all guys! i really wish to know if its just me or there are others really pissed off by the lack of many ARMAIII essential features and bugged existing ones, like: considering that the community has already solved ALL this problems with just addons and scripts, in fact literally "beating BIS at theyr own game". and despite its a constant fight to keep this mods updated with every new game patch. (applause to modders, NOW). now my point is this: for singleplayer its easy, install mods and live happy. BUT for multiplayer its another story, because you force other players to download EVERY single mod needed to fix every single bugged feature or missing feature. and thats tragic, because: - it limits and split the player base (to the point that every mod you have decrease drastically the chance that a player will join your server) - it force to "reinvent the wheel" constantly too (by merging mods togheter and keep them updated with new game patches)! - last and very important reason is that players doenst have a default single, solid, and well-working game where develop good missions and PLAY, without worry about basic features and wasting huge time re-fixing them! now, after 16 years from OFP its clear that BIS are for some unclear reason not interested in fixing theyr own work, everything from airplanes to scuba diving is in this awesome sandbox that is ARMAIII, but as you can notice from your experience or the list above,not a single feature works good, everything has to be fixed. so my idea is this.... the project leaders seems sensitive only to money, so if the numbers of people sensitive to this problem it high enought, maybe we can propose a sort of "kickstarter" for a kind of "ARMAIII needed fix DLC" (with a full list of fix to include)! Even if this is a shame for BIS, i personally will be happy to pay x€ (seems reasonable in the 20€ to 30€ range) to finally solve once for all a huge list of bugged/needed/missing/incomplete/unrealistic features for ARMAIII ! in the form of a DLC, noone will be forced to buy it, i imagine it as compatible with people who doesnt have the DLC (yes its technically possible, i already did with countless scripts, like 3D explosives interface), OR in the form of a crow-funded upgrade for all players, where more "controversial features" (example: unlocked uniforms) can be selectable ON/OFF by mission and always compatible. really thanks for reading till here, ....and what do you think about it guys?

    really thank you en3x, this finally is a good and detailed explanation that makes sense! THANKS ! for the sake of clarifying all aspects.....considering what you saied, just as theorical example, in my idea 10000 people paying 20€ each one for the "fix DLC" would be a solid 200000€ for the devs, that can put many hours-work into fix the game so that it will be better for all.....honestly i still cant see how it can hurt community or BIS ! from my point of view, a DLC like karts, or the upcoming jets, while being for sure good and useful, are just "less needed" and still "resources eating" like fixing actual broken features. but as i saied thats just my own personal opinion! and thanks again for a good explanation !

    Its clearly written that this is not a "wish list " because all features named here are already present and working in form of addons or script. I think the point here is another....kind of "multiplayer is splitting too much " ...due to fix needed for to long !

    thanks for your feedback guys! i like to play this game, and not to fix it. and latest 2 years (not day, not months... ==>> years) were passed to fix basic features (not strange thing, but really basic ones like respawn vehicles, add civilian ambient life, and simple grenade throwing fix) , just to be able to play. and i'm still far from finish, and for "finish" i mean have at least gameplay to the level of other games, not something strange or complicate, just a simple CTF mission, is a pain when you cant properly place explosives, take the weapons you want, implement weather with its effects ecc. seems to me just a huge nosense-and-no-reason waste of community resources, and i just thinked that with a "fix DLC" everyone would be happy, community and developers. everyone wins. considering that addons only problems are 1) possible incompatibility one with another and 2) people must download them to be able to play on a server with addons, even if i really dont know how to script, and basically copy&paste other people's work (with i thanks from my heart), i went for the script way. and that i was able to fix almost everything needed in less than a month of work (mostly 2-5 hours per week, always very tired after dinner) after every game patch (and sadly restart to test/fix at every new patch, that always screw something. its an endless work), so in your opinion, what can do a month of work of the whole BIS team ?? anyway.....i keep getting negative feedback, but the only answer close to an explanation is the one by kremator. plus everyone entered in my server while i test my missions with all my scripts to fix it, say positive things like "this hould be added in every mission" ecc.. help me understand whats wrong please, i really cant understand why noone want to do the job in the right way! thanks ! PS: sorry eh...but from my point of view its 16 years i'm fixing this C4 so it can be attached to vehicles and structures, i have the right to be bored of it!
