I had a problem that matched your description. My problem was caused through overclocking of my GFX card using the Nvidia program. Returning the card to stock settings fixed the problem.

C2D E6400 @ 2.6GHz 8800GTS 320mb (OC'd) 4GB mem Vista 64bit I'm happily playing away for 5 or so mins, and then the screen goes black. If I press escape I get the "ArmA2 mouse pointer" up, and I'm not getting any error messages. I can still hear the music/soundeffects playing in the background. I have the most up-to-date Nvidia drivers installed too. I had a search on the forums and none of the problems seemed to match my issues. Thanks in advance.

How do you install this? I read mentions of an installer, but I've downloaded RC4 and the campaigns but they are just PBOs no installers.... Something is wrong with the link to the FAQ on here too: http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=5668 Can any one help?
