If you believe that you have free will or can make any decison on your pure will then good luck! Lets see how you think about that when you crave for a new top game the next time! Well, it seems that it does not work. From my previous point Ive decided to shot the pilot so no crew was left and flew the heli home myself. Finished the mission, autosafe, no change to the heli. Took the next mission and flew the heli myself again. Flew home, finished mission, autosafe and still no new pilot/crew. ---------- Post added at 03:08 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:53 PM ---------- A few glitches Ive noticed: - When I rearm myself to AT I get a RPG-7 with ammo but theres no RPG-7 ammo in the boxes - Theres M136 ammo in the boxes but no launchers at all

Hello! Gave version 0.27 a try and got stuck with my heli after the 3rd mission. (In case this bugs are already reported forgive me but busy worker couldnt find the time to dig the thread.) What happened: - finished mission and called in the heli - on the way back the heli encountered a patrol of 2 GRADs and a civ truck - heli started flying circles and it landed to let the captain out (?) - ordered my men to disembark to get rid of the trucks and the heli landed them nicely (Ive missed an order to land the heli here) - got rid of the trucks - could not call in the heli again so I ordered my men to board the hovering heli - the heli landed to let my men in but now im stuck cos the heli isnt moving and it seems I cant give it any order Its seems it would be helpful to have more control over the heli and have land, move to and RTB orders available all the time. In my case I could take a truck to return to base but the heli would still not move. Not sure if the heli also replaces lost crew but since Ive lost both gunners it would be helpful, too. Like the previous poster Im missing medics in the team. Great mission! Keep up the good work! =)

Regarding random/dynamic stuff "Cipher" should also be mentioned. (edit: Woops, overread the previous post, hehe) And while Warfares are also mentioned I would like to point towards "Farm Wars" - an underdog and a very interesting RTS/FPS-hybrid in a very unique setting (Grow cows to sell meat to dominate Chernarus, hehe). Dynamic rules! Have fun! -

Yes and no! Like Schwab I use the farmers to attack either the first pasture or town. After that I hardly use them, cos they cant be micromanaged through the RTS-System. After that I use them only as defensive groups - so they usually only hang around somewhere. And cos the "age of infantry" is over when the notorious BRDMs roll out of the vehicle-fac, I dont use any Inf from that moment on. Thats why I said that your suggestion is interesting but not worth to bother much with... In my opinion, of course! ;) Cos I usually play the 500k moneyrun I hardly bother with lots of base defense. The tactic is plain simple and straight forward: Cap a pasture and bring 2 cows in then I leave it behind. Cap the first town and sell the first meat. Then I get the BRDMs out and rush more towns. That usually keeps the enemy busy and away from my own base. At some point I recap the pasture and get the fat cows home. If i need more meat I hold it for a while (using either farmers or some of my own troops). Usually it lasts around 2h to win the 500k race (approx 6 - 6.8k secs.) but I have to admit that Im a bit out of practice, cos I rather prefer to play at least with another person than alone. (Thats speedrun-style is a relic from when I started to play with tigga and schwab - they tend to play for a fast time score... usually not my personal preference, hehe) Thats why we should meet for nice online carnage and base building, right? =)

Nice idea, but I prefer to create units in my own group, cos they are better to handle in the rts menü anyway.

Agree - steam for valve games - hardcopy for other games! Also, just in case, you can easier sell a hardcopy than a steamgame if you dont make an account for each game you own on steam. (you have to sell the account so all games that are registered on that account.) -
Till now I had the impression that AntiAir was developed to take out aircrafts... maybe I was wrong.... On the other hand I always had the impression that a Zu is really helpless against an imbound Hellfire shot from 4km away... But maybe he noticed that the AI is sometimes plain stupid and misunderstoods that this is not a topic for "balance"... And Im also not sure what hes talking about the tankshells.. I dont see any light vehicles survive a tankshell... only heavy armor suvives it sometimes if aimed badly. Useless thread, sry.

Win32bit cant assign more than 2gb to a running program. But usually Win eats approx. 400mb before any progs launch, so there are no 2gb left for arma2 when you have only 2gb installed. Yes, it means that Arma2 has a limit on 2gb max - afaik MS let this limit stay in Vista64, too cos of stability issues and other companies that didnt want to change to a higher mem-model. @stugwi: What you posted is rubbish or prove otherwise! At least I know that my vidram of 1gb does not use up system ram.

Curse you - you just had a lucky day... :p Schwab, unfortunatly I dont even know how to setup a dialog list, hehe! But from what you said its not implemented with intend? Rather a default setting of the dialogs? In this case I would ask in the scripting forum for a way to circumvent it... But still thumbs down for removing the digital movement - imo its the most elegant solution! :p

I had problems with the construction of the outposts. Seems that the outposts are accepted but not build on the dedicated server. But it works fine when I run the game on a client server. The IFV APC works fine - guess the problem was that I was confused and havent noticed that Ive lost leadership after dying when playing with a pal. Not that I want to push you, stiff... but I have to... Im really keen to know if youre working on an updated version for MP!?

Schwabi, as Ive told you, you should have a look into the building repair thingy. Its a bit weird that you need the mhq to start the rep but can drive away or start to rep the next building. When it already needs to stay close to the building it might be a too large circle. It might be interesting to discuss to imobilize the mhq while it is repairing a building... can become tough when a base is under attack from all sides... Oh, the wasd keys move the focus in the item lists (construction, recruiting, etc.) which is damn annoying, cos usually you select a building and then place it - so often you use wasd to get to the right spot and suddenly you build a market instead of the beloved AGS! And btw. the AGS is too cheap for the mass murder weap it is! ;)
