  1. What about all the people that have already brought a very poorly programmed game you imbecile? The sheer scope of how the numerous bugs, and piss poor performance on all systems, have alienated game buying members of this forum should at least be telling you something. What they are telling you is they are dissapointed in the shambolic state of the released game. Placebo has stated the publisher was responsible for the hurried release of ARMA 2. Well Placebo I have some breaking news that you may want to take on board. Bad releases kill companys irrespective of what the fucking publishers want.Bad releases kill sales.Bad releases kill trust.Bad releases cause a huge amount of damage to series games. I bought the game but by christ I won't touch the expansion with a barge pole until I've fully tested the full demo. Do not offer to fix inherent game problems and frankly an extremely poorly coded release of a game with a fucking expansion. I do appreciate the coding differences in the expansion may help the original game code but this is exactly the wrong way to appease paying customers. Appease the paying customers by giving them content for the game they bought - not what they were promised. You faggot. :D :p :p
  2. Excellent. It's going to look wonderful juddering along at 11 Frames per second as soon as a building appears. Thats always of course assuming the AI pilot has'nt crashed it on take off.
  3. Hundreds of bugs. Piss- poor frame rates. Constant errors and mission restarts due to CTD and bugs. Unfinished game. More bugs. Extremely poor optimisation for hi-end pc rigs. You probably see why this game does'nt sell that well. It's a pity but BIS has'nt learnt from ARMA1 whatsoever.

    Arma 2 instalation

Make sure the disk indexing service is off. Failing that download a copy - you paid for it already so no problem. Try copying the files from the dvd to a hard drive again making sure the hard drive has indexing off.

    Warfare in SP

The word is addictive. " Addicting is not a real word but thousands of retards have begun using it" ;)
  6. The post pics in the title may give you somewhat of a clue. A picture speaks a thousand words.
  7. Yes I can see why not defraging your hard drive would cause a 15FPS lock when you get near cities. Or why when running xp with a huge range of ATI cards graphics corruption is present. Or it does'nt seem to matter what combination of hardware is being run the games FPS is chronically low. Shit man you have solved everyones problems!!!! I cannot thank you enough for your valued expert opinions which everbody here will now undoubtedly follow and magically find the game now runs fantastically better. It was when I turned off the background service "Listentodimwitanddefrag" that I noticed a huge increase in every possible way. You Sir are my HERO. :yay::yay
  8. You need to bring up command menu - call support then place your cursor on the map screen where you want him then click - if you've done it right you should get an acknowledgement

    No disc required to play

If the legal game generates the no cd theres no problem dimwit.
  10. Installing windows 7 RC enabled me to run the game glitch free. Phenom 2 quad 4 gig DC 800Mhz ATI 4850 Foxconn A7MXK mobo ( Probably get banned for this but using a NO dvd patch seems to have increased my average frame rate)
  11. Just absofuckinglutely wonderful to see we are back to "card overheating" advice. Please never post here again. It's a known fact its a bug with ati 4850 and greater cards. Its down to either BIS or ATI to fix.
  12. Perhaps you did'nt actually read my post. On a fresh install of problem O/S. No malware. No antivirus. No spyware. No faulty hardware. No form of any program install apart from O/S and game - the poor performance and problems exist. you may have a fluid game at 25fps but i certainly do not. Its a shooting game when alls said and done and slow mouse lag and treacle like frame rates make it unplayable to me. Its obvious from the amount of posts with the huge majority of people having problems that this game was either: 1. Not tested whatsoever with hugely common cpus and graphic cards. 2. Tested and found to be extremely poor performing but released anyway. I am not bemoaning the game in any shape or form - i brought it knowing what the problems were. Any amount of details you ask for will not counter the simple fact that this game was released with very below par performance. BI should acknowledge this - instead of wasting resources creating gimik flash arma 2 games etc. they should be working on giving paying customers an experience they can live with until performance issues are addressed. This could be in a form of optimised missions/ campaigns etc. I for one , and i'm sure a huge amount of people that have given money to BI , would be very interested in seeing frames per second results and details on exactly the systems they used. And on a side note - perhaps you should buy the full retail game and do extensive testing before you think issues like spyware /malware and faulty hardware are giving issues. Get the full game - install it on a fresh O/S and then log your frame rates - problems etc.
  13. Perhaps you could explain why if you do a fresh install of the OS that was giving the problem gives the same problem again. For the retarded people that keep posting about temperature / overclocking/ system clutter and other such advice i suggest this; If you've got exactly the same problems with the game when you've done a fresh install and every other game you install runs like butter - DRUM ROLL- ITS THE GAME you thumbless monkeys. Rant over. And yes i'm running a ATI 4850 - simply does not run the game under XP 32. Installed win 7 and game runs. Same card - same hardware -exactly the same system. Game does not run under afresh install of XP 32. By a simple transposition of logic - on my system - its either XP 32 O/S or ATI XP 32 drivers that are the problem. What testing did BI ACTUALLY DO on XP O/S and ATI cards? You will find they probably did and found slug like performance on ALL CARDS AND SYSTEMS tested but released the game anyway. There are simply too many people with similar and different systems that are all having common problems. The only common problem is that everybodys having problems - that should give a clue as to where the problem lays.
  14. I'm afraid the problem is with the coding of the game. Irrespective of all and any troubleshooting conundrums we all try it's all boiling down to a simple common problem. The problem is the game was released with extremely poor performance even with the latest quad cores and high end graphics cards. A few simple test runs with different cpus and cards would have shown this to BI. They released the game anyway - without having a demo to try beforehand. I brought the game and it was a mistake - with the previous track record of BI releasing extremely poor performing games i'm amazed that people spend countless hours trying to fix a turd. The choice to use all sorts of extremely strange and bizarre coding methods for false AA / menu sizes / piss blur filtering etc. has resulted in a mismash of problems and performance issues. BI should have used tried and trusted rendering methods, they should have released WIP demos to enable an excellent community resource base to help them with problems blah blah blah. I've given my money in spite of all the above problems - it's really a shame Bi don't appear to be very forthcoming in addressing the issues. Perhaps if they released mission packs and sub campaigns etc. that they can now optimise for more fluid gameplay the community would think better of them whilst waiting for performance patches. It is a simple fact the game is excellent -unfortunately it's not playable for the huge majority of people that have bought it.
