I haven't noticed any performance difference what-so-ever using any of the exThread parameters. -

Yeah i read your post but i dont agree. Check out GL4 it has it working pretty well. If you have a group of soldiers patrolling a area they will randomly(based on chance i guess) seek through houses they encounter. The "problem" with GL4 is that it has so many parameters and if you set them wrong they could easily break your mission. -
Well only units in my missions that are "hand-placed" are units in buildings and they move between the building positions :) Also i often take out snipers and units with SD weapons to avoid things to get too ugly :p Often the feeling of being sniped is because of the "precisionEnemy" setting in your arma 2 profile is set too high and then even AK's will headshoot you at 300m with first or second bullet. It's a fine balance between things being too easy or too hard.

I used to host small public coops almost very night but at one point people lost interst in them and there was far between people joined and played more than 5min, specially when they realized that there was no respawn! Now i can't be bothered hosting missions and wait for hours for someone to join.

We all know they capable of using stairs but doing it on their own and not being scripted by mission maker or by a mod is where i've never seen it happen. -

Fraps works fine my end. Specs: WinXP Pro 32Bit i7 Core 920 8GB Ram(i know) GTX 285 I tried with the -exThreads=0, -exThreads=1 and the -exThreads=3 parameter and they all worked fine. -
Maybe now we can avoid getting more reports on how editing this value will dramatically increase your performance lol

Wouldn't say it's OT because i would like to see this in OA(atleast more). I remember trying using UPS script to let a soldier patrol only a small area around silo's with ladders and yes it from time to time used the ladders but it certaintly wasn't something they easily did so i wonder how often they actually do it on their own. Also from playing a lot of domination i have never seen AI using buildings :eek: -

I have never seen AI doing that on it's own, sure with GL4, house patrol script or a direct waypoint it's not a problem, but giving a group of soldiers a SnD waypoint with a 500m completetion radius(like one of the OA vids) in the middle of a city have never made AI climb ladders or entering buildings my end! -

It's been proven time after time that having your settings too high can cause problems eventhough it seems to run fine while it does run! ---------- Post added at 05:41 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:34 PM ---------- Hmm it works fine for me just tested right :confused: -
Yeah keep it @ 3.9Ghz, it's not like those 100Ghz is gonna change anything anyways.

So have you tried lower your video settings? Some people seems to think it's a right that their system should run the game with a high resolution and with max'ed out video settings! -

Great to hear you guys are still working on it as i'm REALLY looking forward to a vietnam mod :) It looks really cool, love the foliage :cool: -
If you just join a server and expect to see teamwork you'll often get disappointed. Maybe you should do something about, join as teamleader and start give orders or follow the current teamleader. It's like any other game sometimes you see teamwork other times people run off for themself. Join a squad if you wan't constant teamwork.
