Do you give your AI the 3 - 5 order of Engage at Will? I find they're far more selective about who they shoot in the typical default of disengage mode.. where they're waiting for you to call out targets to them. Though yes.. you're own AI squad tends to be less competent then enemies in the ArmA games. I figure it's the AI squads are getting precise instructions at lightening speeds about what to do and where to shoot.

Using this and I love it.

Hit '0' and bring up the radio menu. Also on the recon mission I completed it without shooting anyone, or getting shot at once, and probably about 30 mins spent in the mission. Yes it's do able, I wont say how I went about it though. >.>

Curious what the normal AI gets for these? -
Thanks for the patch! Even on low the anti-aliasing gives a real nice improvement. :)

Awesome job. Thanks, TB. -
Trust me, I got a lot of mileage out of ArmA I, but once you've played this you might as well just uninstall the old one and free up the disk space. This is Operation Flashpoint level of brilliant all over again.

I was telling my friend about this game yesterday and I said, "It's like Oblivion meets Ghost Recon.", and he just kind of blinked. The average mind can not comprehend the full breadth of ArmA. >.> Have been playing these since the original OpFlash demo. Good read.

Cold War Rearmed - Public Beta Release
Drayth replied to W0lle's topic in ARMA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Only mods I use in conjunction with this one are ECS and Matt's effects. But again to echo their own words, if you find a bug make sure it happens with no other mods installed. Think I'll add that fixed range nightvision however, use to use that in my old immersion list build.- 607 replies

I'm a huge fan of your PMC Fury campaign, keep up the work and I hope to see more PMC in the future (*cough* ArmA II). I love the attention to details and the more immersive approach to the missions.

Cold War Rearmed - Public Beta Release
Drayth replied to W0lle's topic in ARMA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Fury's a lot of fun, more immersive in many ways then the original campaign. Each mission picks up where the last left off. You don't zip all over the island from one mission to the next, instead you gradually push the enemy back, and as you take over more of the island you actually spend some time traveling to the mission's hot spot. Also, there's often sneaky surprises in some of the missions. For example there's one early mission where if you follow orders that are given in the briefing the mission will end up one way. If you react to something going on in the actual mission and don't follow those orders things end up quite differently. That and there's this nice pacing where you get these occasional truly epic battle. Only thing it's missing is custom voice work, so make sure radio subtitles are turned on if you check it out.- 607 replies

Cold War Rearmed - Public Beta Release

When I originally downloaded this I thought to myself, "Now if I can just get the PMC Fury campaign converted this will be perfect.". I even spent my first night just playing random favorite individual missions before checking out the campaigns the next day, and :D Thanks for converting over the PMC campaign!!! Awesome job all around you guys, replaying this stuff in ArmA is just mind blowing even with the few kinks that need ironing out. On that note, the Vulcans in the Vulcan mission are amongst the most deadly units in the game. They take out helicopters with just a single burst, and when the BMP's show up they end up annihilating the tanks in a split second as soon as they peek over the hill from the coast line. This definitely changes the flow of the mission, not sure if you guys are still rebalancing vehicle stats, but if so Id like to put in a humble quest to look into these guys. Also the new fixed campaign files just mentioned, are they available to the public yet? I looked on the wiki page and couldn't find anywhere to download them.- 607 replies
