    forget about singleplayer in its entirety and jump online and start playing domination servers flagpole gets you into the action BTW practice with the editor too

    I think most of the PC users in this thread are confused. Just because codemasters has no talent in their studio to make a realistic war game is not the consoles fault. Its the fault of the developer who honestly thinks console gamers cant handle anything complicated. BIS proved that operation flashpoint can be done on consoles , even if it was just a bit limited , it was a great first start and it could easily be done again for arma 2 They could even encorperate natal support as a subsitute for track IR. PC gamers should not be worried about a console release of thier game , it wont hurt the pc version in any way. If anything it will make bohemia more money to make arma 3 the most amazing game ever created.
  7. i see xbox 360 dev kits in thier offices they need to go to 1c games about publishing for the 360 their recent success with IL2 birds of prey is a prime example that sims can be accepted well on consoles It would also be nice to kick the living christ out of that god awful flashpoint game

    The domination co-op missions are what you are missing out on. I have never been more addicted to a gametype in my life You choose whatever role and weapon you want , use any vehicle you want. and battle against hundreds of AI The demo doesnt let you play these fan made missions because if they did you would never leave the demo. BTW , buy the game , online is a completely different story then in the demo

  11. IMO pretty poorly at the moment. You are not getting much done on the realism front if you cant even enter buildings half the time. but im sure thats more of an AI issue than a BIS issue. But still its the most realistic on the market. All im saying is if you gave BIS a budget of say..... 40 million dollars.... You would get quite the realistic game with all the features to make it as realistic as possible. But as it stands arma is too slow on the control front to simulate combat. And then there is the fact that no video game EVER will simulate combat as it is

    - Is there going to be a functional flir system out of the box (everything has heat based textures) -Will the game have Functional IR lasers (peq units) like in vbs2? -Will we be able to have flashlights/IR illuminators -Is the terrain based on afghanistan and its mountians? or is it more of a desert.
  13. dragon rising already has confirmed DLC you will be CHARGED FOR. Thats how much CM could care about its community , letting you know ahead of time that you will be paying for shit that the community can make faster and better. The previews mean nothing , most previews these days are paid for and there are strict guidelines about what you can and CANT talk about in the preview. Its a garbage legal tactic that is now standard in gaming. So for example the "ultra realism" these previewers are talking about means nothing because they have never played a game more realistic than cod4 if you think this game is going to be "awesome and tactical" you are wrong. Backpedaling and saying stuff like "oh well we will learn to like it" is the most embarrassing thing i have EVER seen happen on a developers forums. And the scariest thing is the slobs on those forums ACCEPTING that the console game will ship without a mission editor and with 4vs4 online matches. Thats a direct slap in the face and is essentially taking the operation flashpoint name and shitting all over it for a quick buck. helios was smart to ban me off those forums because if i could still post there i would have completely converted the community against all the bullshit that has been thrown at them , meanwhile people like sir polaris are cuddling between CM's legs making sure the community has no personal opinion about issues forum users have with the game
  14. CM has been dead silent about multiplayer on thier forums for the past like year, and it turns out its because they didnt want their community to crucify them for being lazy nubs. As for the modding , i very much doubt that CM is going to implement serious moddiblity to the engine , example A being ripping the editor out of the console versions for profit on DLC. Why let the community make content when we can charge for it? Other than that , the game looks like a great competitor to rainbow 6 vegas , and ghost recon advanced warfighter.
  15. Watch the video again , its an acog scope with flir tacked on.The t14 sight doesnt have a range reticle on it , that scope in the video is an t14. just another example of how "in depth" the research is going on a codemasters.
  16. I was wondering if you guys are going to fix the MLRS ? and possibly make additions to it ? I just joined a domination server and while it did have the target artillery thing , it wouldnt let me target anything on the map. I dont know if it was a range thing (i was at the ass end of the airbase and i was at full elevation) But it kinda upsetted me that this awesome peice of firepower cannot be used. are you guys going to fix the arty stuff? and make them easier to reload and such

    lol the game has no graphical options for the pc version AND it has securom. What a collossal flop and rape of a franchise. Acog scops with flir? wtf is this? The AI is dumb as tacks , worse then in arma by miles. This game is the farcry 2 of this year. its so sad that bohemia are going to get slaughtered in sales from less of a product.

  22. Are you guys going to add the EFVP1 ? Im asking this because i just tried using the other apc's in the game and they are slow as shit on the water. Besides , the efvp1 can carry 17 marines and it hauls ass on the water

The community manager in that place is a douche , and gives out little to no info because if the info is released then its BAD PR because its mostly bad news. why do you think there is no info about multiplayer? same reason nobody knows anything about wolfensteins multiplayer....   25. I hope that all weapons get that cool little sight adjustment feature , even with iron sights and red dots. dont know if that was ACE or just XEH . But it was an important basic feature of ACE for me. Another thing i want to see is really good tracers and sound effects ! the vanilla sounds are vomit inducing ( the miniguns in particular )
