Norrins Vehicle revive with Mando Hitch

Particulars are Norrn_SF_supportVcl Mando Hitch 1.5 ACE 1.06 Arma 1.15b ACE chopper. I have a chopper that revives once it has been destroyed or disabled, and it also has Mando's hitch 1.5 attached to it. Â I know that it has to do with how it is initialized apon revive, I was reading about it but couldn't get my noodle wrapped around it. Any help would be great. Thanks for you time -

I posted this in the ACE Forum but thought I would post here too. Â Hopefully this is not a No no on my part. I was pinned down , the dead all around me and would have loved to have put my M249 on a body and just started to rock. Â Or rest it on your team mate across the small of his back lining up a sniper shot so you don't have the grass blocking your field of view. Is that even possible? Also I noticed that the low roof top kneehigh wall that must only be about 12-15 inches high is too low to rest a weapon on but high enough to block line of sight. Â On ACE SARA BTW Can anything be done with the height at which you can rest weapons at? Â The roof top I spoke of above is basically a pop up, shoot,and pop back down. Or be shot because you have to kneel and you are a sitting duck. Thanks -
Thanks for answer Kremator and SnkMan. I have been careful to read all three threads and in play for my small squad that only does co-op they ROCK. SnkMan, thanks for letting me know. Â I never really found an issue in play but it has been bothering me so I thought I would ask the experts. I will stop worrying about it now. Love the work you do SnkMan. Â Thanks from Canada.

Can Any of your guru's help me out with this error? ACE 1.06 Beta 1.15 Arma Norrins Revive for ACE RSKL FFN and GL3, a smattering of vehicles, Jackle, MoGuns littlebird but that is about it.  Doesn't happen all the time, and I am baffed if I can figure it out. Is it related to me setting position in a tower? "this [getpos this select 0, getpos this select 1,3]"?? Any help  would be great. Thanks

This doesn't seem to be working, as I can't find any similar .pbo's in my @ACE mod dir except ace_sound_voices_russian.pbo, which doesn't seem to contain that script. Another missing .pbo or is the script packed with another pbo which I can't seem to find? Â these scripts have moved to: ace_settings\sys_radio\s Thanks for the tip, now my Russians speak Russian. FYI, If you already haven't found out yourselves, scripts in there seem to reference the old location aswell so they're not useable by just calling them from their existing location. Can you give me the the line you put in your init.sqs? I tried it errors out. Thanks. SNKMAN I didn't pay close attention to what they where saying. But It might have been the Shit man down. I think it has to of been that because it stopped when we killed the other commander player (meaning he was in a separate group). But I will make sure of it if it happens again. I will make sure that I have fraps running to record with sound if it happens again. For me this is not a major issue and like you said it might not even be related to GL3. I was just trying to add to the list of possible information to help those better then me. Cheers Styxx42

My group and I had this happen once during three missions on the weekend. Non dedicated Server. (I was running the mission) Using AI Revive 52 as well as a ton of other addons from the Add On Compilation for more Realism and Immersion thread. Each of us were team leaders with three peons.(red shirts) We where testing the revive to see if I got it right in mission setup so I had player C shoot me. The other player B constantly said One is down. One is down. over and over and over again seconds apart I was revived as I should be, and he kepts saying One is down. We at the time didn't know who it was so we all looked for the soldier responsible for the repeat issue. We figured it out that it was player C. We then Shot him. Revived him and didn't have the problem again all night. Does that help Snkman? Styxx42

wld427 This is great and is fun to play with another spotting person or vehicle. Like the KIAWA Warrior just released. Can you skin this in Green? It stands out like a soar thumb with the sand colour in the woods. Either way. real world or not. I play a game and love this. Styxx42

It will assign an object instead of the white arrow. It's easier to match up the same objects, so it should remove the delay. But remember the drag object has mass, so you can easily kill.. Cheers Should I only do this for large objects or all objects? And Yes I I use the RTE4 and I am tired of the whining soldiers when I set them too high or too low in a building. Suck up it meat ball. Quick request. I have a mission where I have made alot of vehicles capable of carrying cargo. (because I LOVE IT) Is there a way to put a Vehicle Identifier in the int line so it shows in OVER head or even in side view so you know which 5 ton truck you are going to load? I have three 5 tons all the same and there is a way to click on them in over head so they switch to them and then you can load them based on that, but some sort of identifier would be really helpful when you three covered 5 ton trucks all the same with in the load area and you have to figure out which one you loaded. Or is there a way to specifiy the loading area? So I know how far away to set the trucks. I have Helo1 thru 3 and they must be too far away as they don't show up. Just things I am thinking might come up in a combat mission. Cheers (I am buying the first couple rounds for you guys) Styxx42

Here are some Pics of what is happening with me. I am using a SHIT load of addons mostly from Add On Compilation for more Realism and Immersion. So it could just be me. But the in the first one this is first person if I choose the right combination to get out of OVERHEAD view. If I close I just get stuck in the second picture. Styxx42

Okay one more issue. Or not. In test during mission building I occasionally get stuck in Over head view. It is after I choose Close and I stick in Over head view and there are no other options to choose. Is there a Secret Key. It is after a LARGE item placement, like a 120 Gun or a Base. Is that the issue? Anyone else had this? It is very rare and I have never tested in game as I am just only getting into using this system. It is only during preview so far. Usually I get stuck the Arrow for direction is still in place of an object I just placed. And I can't click on anything else. ( I looked through the readme''s but they are a little thin at the moment(no complaints)) Okay a smidgen bit more testing and I did it again. It seems when I put a LARGE object (value of 12) and it is too CLOSE to the vehicle (5 ton truck each time for me) and I choose CLOSE in stead of first person) Does that help? Or even make sense? Do not use the sandbag fix if you are using anything above ArmA v1.12 patch.(or it may be a prior patch as well) This functionality was added in one of the patches for ArmA and it will cause problems. I know this has been discussed in the trench thread but I don't remember what was said about it. EDIT: Actually it's not in that thread but it has been discussed, I wish I knew where to direct you but I can't remember. But I'm not sure if that AddOn is needed for it to work, possibly it was just needed prior to the fix and thus required in the example mission. Try just removing rae_sandbag from the addOns[]= and addOnsAuto[]= lists at the top of the mission.sqm file. Or check ArmAholic.com or another site cause I thought there was a newer or different trench script. I recall a trench topic that was newer then that one. OFPEC forums I believe may have one. EDIT2: I found the discussion here's the link. It was the same script just in OFPEC's forum. Check the bottom of page 1. http://www.ofpec.com/forum/index.php?topic=29804.0 Sorry Rock, VXR and UNN for going off topic. Well For Crying out Loud that worked. Thanks MANZILLA and UNN. Take the reference out of the SQM and it worked like a charm. I got stuck on the other forum that said IT NEEDS this addons. I pulled apart your sample missions looking for anything that I might have missed. But the answer was there you just had to show me. You know when you hear the buzz that some one has totally changed FPS you get excited. But most of the time it is only the put in a flying car or some crap like that. What you guys have done here is create a system that totally changes how the game can and should be played.. Thus IMHO you guys have TOTALLY changed ARMA. IN a way that will and should totally add a dimension to missions that never existed. If the sand bags had to go, They would go in a heart beat. My team mates and I where talking about how amazing it is going to be in big missions, strung out, low on Ammo, you could have a supply and logistics person\Team full time which in turn presents all kinds of offensive and defensive opportunities in missions instead of TAKE THAT HILL. How about TAKE THAT SUPPLY TRUCK. YOU GUYS ROCK, did I say that already? Well you do. Thanks for doing leg work Manzilla and UNN that I obviously failed at. I did some serous(or I thought) searching for the sand bag addon but failed to look for another forum with the Trenches in it. Duhaa. Now I get my Cake and I get to eat it too. I now have to have totally rework my missions and add everything to this system. Thanks again for helping me out. Although I have only been a member since April last year I have been a Major Lurker since OPF and it is people like you that really make OPF\ARMA what it is and what it really can be. And is a MAJOR reason why me and my friends and I would think a lot of people purchase this game. (With appropriate kudos to BIS for allowing you people the tools to work with in the game.) Thanks again can't wait for the hinted at next edition. Forget that Can't wait to play more with what you have already given me. Beers for you all if you are ever in Canada on me.

RKSL YOU PEOPLE ROCK. I LOVE this release. Thanks is not the sum of how great this system is. Now on to my question. I am using Trench fighting to defend a town.. I have to add this addon. Sandbagfix1.1 addon by Raedor http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=1688 It does not appear in my Cargo menu, using the inv code but if I change the object to a pylon, or tent it is there change the excat same object back to the Wood Fencel(sandbag) it is not avaible as a cargo item. So I am thinking it is something to do with how the sandbag is modified but that is as far as I can go. Any quick fixes? If not The Trench fighting has to go. How to make long soldiers join your Squad?

Topic should read LONE, not LONG How to make a LONE soldier join your squad. Back in OPF, (I think it was ECP Mod) it was possible to have lone soldiers join your squad. Is this possible with an init line or a trigger? Styxx -
@169th_Ice One thing to clarify as I reread your post. Are you starting two iterations of ARMA on the same computer and then joining them in a Multi player session? Styxx

Standard Yada yada about current drivers for your system. And I am going to make assumptions because you don't give any detail on your system or OS. In Windows XP right click on my computer Choose manage and under Event Viewer ,look at the logs for Application and System. See if there is anything in there that is happening around the time of your lockup. It might point at something other then the video card. If it runs fine in single player but locks up in multi I would be looking at my network, router, ports and even physical media. It could also be firewalls or antivirus. Download a temperature monitor for both GPU and for your CPU. Make sure your temps are in spec for your system. Sounds like your GPU is over heating based on your brief description. So I would focus on the video card first. Those are areas to start looking in. Styxx I have a XFX 8800 AlphaDog, Stock-O'clock(meaning I bought it this way) 670 Ghz 512 DDR3 GPU and it runs great (with some issues of slow texture building on occasion) with stock XFX driver.

Update is great. Better then great. Awesome is the word I was looking for. Additions are even better. I love the waypoints and the ability to set weapons now. I for one don't use the camera panel. It is all do able with Mouse so why use the camera panel is my motto. Keep up the great work i0n0s. This tool is great for placement. Now to try the waypoints. Edit-('' I forgot to mention that the mini Map would\will be a huge help. I also found it slow going moving around the map to edit. I would put myself in a chopper fly over to a location and land and get out. It seems the "PLAYER" had to touch the ground to reset where you would start your Edit from. Is this close to releasable to us or do you still have lots to work on? Like I said, I can't wait to try out all the new options. Hello Everyone. I am trying like mad to get a dedicated server up for this weekend for my LAN party so I don't have to host all the missions. I started with the system below. Windows Dedicate 1.14 AMD 4600 X2 2 gig ram Xp Pro SP2 In house, no Router on a Dlink 1 gig Switch. I didn't install the game on this system I just dragged and dropped it from my machine. I have an Atari Downloaded version that I had to activate and I am more afraid of messing up my legal copy on my gaming rig. I then hacked the reg and added the location and CD key to the registry(Using my cdkey from my Atari purchase.) My Launch line is D:\ArmA\arma_server.exe -cfg=basic.cfg -config=server.cfg -profiles=D:\ArmA\ -name=server -mod=DBE1;@General;@Replacements;@Ffn I pretty much copied the Wiki files for the above three files and just changed my server name, and the two passwords. Server launches and creates Identity. I log in with my gaming pc. Join server, login as admin, run the #monitor 5 and it's FPS are never lower then 46. I use the #missions command to bring up the missions and I select one of the three missions I have configured for this weekend and it goes to the unit selection screen. I choose a soldier, and choose OKAY, it then looks like it is launch and then sits a receiving mission file. it stays at Zero, if I hit the space bar I can see the OKAY button depress but nothing else happens. On the server in the little window is says reading mission and just stays there. I would post my RPT but it is pretty big even if I clean it out and then launch it again, it is many lines of stuff I don't understand. Any Help would be really appreciated. Styxx
