Australians At War - Combined Ops
[xdf]kanga replied to [xdf]kanga's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
No developmental stage or experimental stuff is planned as part of the AAW releases. If/when it gets issued to troops is when it will be addressed. Otherwise it is all guess work as to what the final product may look like.. -

No it is the height, there are no benches in the geolod and the hull is essentially hollow. The model was specifically produced to allow units in when crouched. -

I believe the ST movement addon doesn't actually change the height of the player collision when crouched. Only when standing or prone. Essentially your player is still hitting the top of the bushmaster when you are trying to enter it. -

quite simply there was some interactivity we wanted to include which works well for human players but not for AI, due to the fact that the mod was created for use by AAW members we decided to keep the options as is as we are all MP players. If we can find a solution later on that will satisfy both requirements we will implement it but for the time being it will stay as is. -

I just tested out the medic units and they seem to be working fine, have you got the most up to date version of AAW? As far as the JSRS issue unfortunately due to the large number of addons out there we cant resolve compatibility issues for everything as there are far to many to address. The mod has not been mothballed and should see an update soon :). -

ASLAVs are being finalized but things have slowed down a lot because of real life commitments from AAW members, we are still slogging away though. Some SF is being worked on but nothing worth showing, basically don't expect anything any time soon in regards to SF stuff. The current release isn't made to be ACE compatible. The next one will be. As far as sounds they are staying as is. There are so many sound mods out there, I'm not going to try and get a version going which matches each mods sound style so I am leaving them where they fit in with the BIS sounds. Here is a few screenshots of the ASLAVs taken by Saber -

Even if the ADF starts using it its not the kind of thing we prioritise in AAW. -

whats the poly count on them? Looks severely over kill for something so small. Unless you are planning on baking in which case I would bevel some of those edges some more so you get a better result. Good example as to why http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1725586/crits/edgewidthmodel.jpg -

Is there a alpha channel in one of the textures masking out the UV lines?

Its photoshop, edges of the circular shape are to smooth, if it was ingame you would be able to see some noticable straight edges of the polygon shape its being projected on to unless he edited the model and adding in a fuck load of polygons to get it look that smooth but I seriously doubt that because it would take time editing all the polygons around the lense piece as well.
