  1. Hello everyone. After a long long time (which I did not think back to release some script or mod) I'm back . All credit goes to my brother ( nick : Ground Beef ) with his insistence that managed to adapt my old and dear lifter for ArmA2 (yes, the one who in his day , was part of the fabulous mod ACE). for those who do not know , LIFTER is a set of scripts that give - as - you mod a helicopter , the ability to transport objects ( of almost any type and form ) suspended by external sling . This version of the Mod, keeps the operating mode of its predecessor for ArmA2 with the advantages provided arma3 such as PIP capability. To become familiar with its operation , I recommend that you read the documentation that shed in his day with the version for ArmA 2 ( link at end of post) . For lazy people , here is a brief summary : The module automatically applies to helicopters carrying capacity (Those type of attack can not only lift load , it is assumed that the weight of the weapon makes ability prohibitive ) . To make realistic this function , a constant comparison is made between the volume of the helicopter and the load immediately below it. A routine is responsible for deduction if the load can be transported and decides what kind of sling use (there are 3 types, for light, medium and heavy duty) . Find the charge within a distance of 7 meters (maximum) from the lower end of the sling hanging under the helicopter to the center of the object to be transported). It requires some skill to fly the load, but it becomes easier with practice. There is the ability to turn on a video camera (turn on and off with the H key) presented on a screen in the cockpit, the area of the sling to the load. This camera has normal mode, night-vision and thermal (switch modes with shift + H on). The load can be released at any time, with the consequent risk of damage. (<5 meters: No harm, 5-10 medium damage and> 10 total destruction). Lift vehicles are not allowed inside staff with the exception of light boats (boats or mini-submarines for spec-ops). The module covers most of the helicopters currently in use in ArmA 3, but new versions will be included if the community requested (keeping your sanity). The loading process is distributed in the pc's customers (not overload the server). It was tested in SP and MP. UPGRADE v1.07 Link 1: from Armaholic Link 2: from Mega Requirements: CBA_A3. LIFTER for ArmA 3

I could separate them, but before I get into it, I have to ask ... Have you tried this one addon that does the same but with the native BIS strings? Advanced Rappelling by Duda If you still need my rope system instead of Duda's, please, indicate me. Greetings from Argentina.

    LIFTER for ArmA 3

Hi all. Merry Christmas. @ cb65 Here I put the download link of the corrected v1.07. (comes out with dust and cobwebs, haha) Lifter v1.07.1 I was really surprised that someone still used the old and dear LIFTER. (It became obsolete when BIS released its external load system by ropes). Greetings.

    HAFM NAVY (Ships) - v2.0

@Appion and @Devastador_cm. First of all, congratulations for this great mod. It's fabulous along with that of submarines. I have to report that I am experiencing serious damage and destruction when landing on the heliports of the ships with the advanced flight mode. in basic flight mode, this does not happen. Keep up the great work.

    LIFTER for ArmA 3

@(AEF)Duck To start a fast-rope you must: 1 - Being the pilot and transport personnel in the cargo section of the helicopter (no matter if gunner or commander). 2 - Be group leader and be in the cargo section of the AI-controlled helicopter (new in v1.07). 3 - Having a lower speed to 10 km / h. 4 - height between 5 and 30 meters (25 or less recommended) 5 - The helicopter must be recognized by the mod (Currently, almost all inherited capacity) ---------- Post added at 06:39 ---------- Previous post was at 05:01 ---------- New version (v1.07) in first post!. Changelog: v1.07 -Add: You can make an object be ignored by the detection LIFTER (Example: name_object SetVariable ["noLift", true, true];) -Add: From the menu command you can sort lower or raise to a total pool steps (helicopter CH-47 family and assault boat) -Add: Compatibility with Up Armored HMMWV Modification by RichardsD (http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=25753). -Add: Compatibility with Brazilian Defence Forces (BDF) by BDF Team (http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=25832). -Add: Compatibility with Chinook Pack by Deltagamer (http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=25951). -Fixed: Immobility problem with vehicles dropped on the ground. -Fixed: Unstable position of objects carried in slings. LIFTER for ArmA 3

@Fillo Thanks for report. Whether it is solved. It has to do with the new ability to order a complete set to fall to board the boat or helicopter. (next in v1.07)

    LIFTER for ArmA 3

@neven Sure that this is the correct list of mods?. There is a space at the end of LIFTER. @c17a3;@everon2013;@mcc;@cpm;@nimitz;@RAV_Lifter_A 3 Otherwise, it should work perfectly. Sure, if the CBA mod (I do not see on the list) have installed.

    LIFTER for ArmA 3

@swissMAG I have new code in fast-roping routine in v1.07 to avoid (or minimize) the lag. Hope it works as expected.

    LIFTER for ArmA 3

@skunk The routine to lose the boat proved to be a bit unstable in MP. I've replaced and added the ability to download or upload a whole group with a single command. Wait for v1.07 (before the weekend) to prove it. :p Thanks for the feedback.

    LIFTER for ArmA 3

@The Hebrew Hammer The problem that could arise overlays routine calls to decrease and several people turned down while anchored at the same point hitch rope animation. The lowering process is a download "unit by unit" in sequence and according to the list of units "assigned to descend", preceded by the deployment of the rope and ending with cut and release thereof. The only scenario I see as possible for players to drop a keypress is to organize and fall of one voice and communicating it to inform the rest and avoid clashing with another player ....

    LIFTER for ArmA 3

@All Sorry for the delay. I have had little time these days and rather to do with LIFTER. @Superfrede This placed a trigger or script makes the AI make a fastrope in the position of an object called "LZ" (may be a unit ***logic or anything else): 1 - To make it in the position of a unit called the "LZ" nameHelo SetVariable ["fastRopePos" LZ getpos]; nameHelo SetVariable ["fastRopeHeight", 10]; nameHelo SetVariable ["fastRopeOn", true]; 2 - To make it in the position of a marker called "LZ" nameHelo SetVariable ["fastRopePos" getMarkerpos "LZ"]; nameHelo SetVariable ["fastRopeHeight", 10]; nameHelo SetVariable ["fastRopeOn", true]; If you still need it, I can make a demo mission with multiple simultaneous helicopter doing a fast-rope (to attach to the package release of v1.07) @Kgino1045 Changes have been made in the code of the routines to fast-rope. I advise you to wait a few days until the v1.07 release. @ Alcatraz_FR That should not happen. The identity of the island only affect routine search of modules ingame like Zeus, MCC or ALiVE. Anyway I'll check. @Numrollen Idem Kgino1045. There are numerous changes in the fast-rope routine. This week v1.07 comes out and hopefully with the changes, more stable in terms of fast-rope.

    LIFTER for ArmA 3

@Siege-A I appreciate since I have not had much feedback after SP v1.06.3. And because of that I've been delaying the next v1.07 (while I continue fixing, changing and adding things). Guys, I really need MP performance reports on dedicated on the famous freeze and lags along with Zeus, MCC and servers Alive. (do not forget me)

    LIFTER for ArmA 3

@Submarine_Sandwich When you is right, is right. You've done everything right. It is my mistake. :o The action of fast-rope helicopter verifies that, if it is driven by the AI starts a routine of forced approximation to the area of insertion. In this case, the pilot of the helicopter, is an AI, but controlled by a player (Zeus), and the routine starts, fighting the "human" control. Hahaha, with results to view the video. Fortunately, when the pilot is not Zeus, all is well. :p I will correct in v1.07 (I'm ready). Thanks for report.

    LIFTER for ArmA 3

@ramius86 I'll check. I thank you for report it. @-=Hk=-Cpt.Skay I'll add in the next v1.07 @Sancron Among the capabilities included from v1.06 to LIFTER is the automatic activation in the presence of certain mods (ALiVE , Zeus, MCC). This is to avoid having to open existing missions , add LIFTER module on the map , save the file and regenerate the mission ".Pbo" of it. Unexpectedly, I find problems of low performance , lag and freeze at the beginning of these missions, due to an increase in server load times when it starts. I have some fix released last week to receive feedback and correct the problem. It is still not solved and purification process is a little convoluted . I recommend that if you want to start using this mod, try to v1.05 of LIFTER (which does not start automatically, in the presence of the mods listed above and should be included on the map (F7 , modules section), until this is fixed the problem I'm working on.

    LIFTER for ArmA 3

@Soldierman Ok. The Los fix that I recently released are trying to solve a problem of processing overhead at the start of the mission when simultaneously attend specific modules (ALIVE, MCC, ZEUS, LIFTER). Problems disappear when released loads are suspended or are reporting it since leaving the v1.18 ArmA 3. Really nothing in the code LIFTER, something that causes this behavior. Apparently MP increases by dedicated and is lower in MP hosted and almost null in SP. I hope that in future updates of ARMA 3 solutions. Thanks for the feedback reported. Currently, I am concerned about what happens to the performance since entering ArmA 3 (main menu with background mission) to the first 20-30 seconds into a mission on a dedicated server) that is the window in which are presenting problems freeze and lag. With the fix #3 should a lot reduced or disappear altogether.

    LIFTER for ArmA 3

@soldierman The last fix is the #3 (download LIFTER 1.06.3). You can try this and coment as it was, please?

    LIFTER for ArmA 3

@Thedog88 Good to hear. (I'd like a video of the whole scene). With v1.07 of LIFTER will leave an option (via menu command) to raise or lower a whole group in sequence and not have to order separately for each AI. Follow tuned ...

    LIFTER for ArmA 3

@flyingcoyotus This fix only attempts to address the problem of freezing and crashes that happen at startup. Physical problems (objects that disappear when released) occur from 1.18 arma3 upgrade. It's not something I can fix from LIFTER. There are reports of a raised and invisible field and so on. I'm waiting to be corrected by BIS. As for duplicate actions, it may be an indication of multiple occurrences of LIFTER, which should not happen. It is in dedicated server, hosted, JIP?. I'll check the controls to see if something has escaped me. Thanks for the feedback. EDIT: Undoubtedly has something wrong because I see in the second image that is flying a helicopter and has suspended load indicator slings and load height (top right) shows a height of 0 meters. :butbut:
  20. Hello everyone. I have made a new fix for LIFTER which should solve the problem. Apparently it has to do with the initial network traffic (is very noticeable with the phase synchronization of missions with Alive). A bottleneck due to an excessive load occurred. I tried a fix, dilating the start and there were improvements, but not enough, so I decided to decentralize the startup process, ingame detection modules, etc.) and performance changed drastically. I do not know how it worked CBA 1.0.1.0 unlike CBA 1.0.5 but with the fix LIFTER # 3 should be no more problems. Link LIFTER v1.0.6.3 fix #3 So far I have had reports of good performance, but I'd try it out to ensure deeper. Greetings.

    LIFTER for ArmA 3

This is extracted from scripts LIFTER: (note: _veh is helicopter name) Position data are for the MH-47E. private ["_ladder","_posLadder","_veh"]; _ladder = "RAV_ladder" createvehicle [0,0,0]; _posLadder = [0,0.75,-4.60]; _ladder attachTo [_veh, _posLadder]; _ladder setdir 0; This "no added functionality." It's only for assemblies.

    LIFTER for ArmA 3

Well ... After much coffee and almost no eyelashes, came a new fix. LIFTER fix #3 v1.06 The next step would be to program in binary code. (haha) Do not forget to give me feedback.

    LIFTER for ArmA 3

I can not reproduce the problems. What I have noticed is that I download the latest upgrade of CBA (should be 1.0.1.0) but the list of enabled addons in ArmA 3 shows as v1.06.140320 and the CONFIG.FP of CBA (within the .Pbo) shows as v1.0.6.212. Anyway, everything works fine for me. EDIT: @All I need to try this version "preliminary." Download Fix #2 This version has an delayed start, plus a random increment to lighten the load and a search method and filter modules running it is less invasive. While I have not experienced problems with the previous version, I noticed this the most agile. If you can test it in SP, hosted server and dedicated server and spend the feedback will be appreciated.

Thanks Kilo1-1. Now I need to know is ... which made the new version of CBA to affect LIFTER ... :butbut: For now, we will use the previous version of CBA (until I see how to fix it, or CBA take out a fix to CBA) ---------- Post added at 20:38 ---------- Previous post was at 20:03 ---------- Actually I'm confused. I did a mission in dedicated server and I have no lag or freeze. :j: server: Type: Public Branch: Stable Version: 1.18.124200 Command line: -maxmem=8192 -CPUCount=8 -high -mod=@CBA_A3;@RAV_LIFTER_A3; Client: Command line: -maxmem=8192 -CPUCount=8 -high -nosplash -noBenchmark -world=empty -mod=@CBA_A3;@RAV_LIFTER_A3; Anyway, I'll keep investigating ...
