  1. That FAQ didn't leave a good impression on me at all. Almost every "has this thing improved?" question is answered "No change, Same as ArmA 2, NO". I can't see how this addon will improve ArmA 2 "in every way" as it says in the FAQ.

  5. ArmA needs it's "iconical" multiplayer game-mode to be more popular. And no, Warfare is far from it. It has to be pure PvP.

  7. I'm getting this error whenever I click "execute" in Six Updater GUI, can anyone help? This happened after my computer crashed last night while I was updating ACE2. I reinstalled Six-Updater.     Multiplayer - Always "laggy"?

    On 32(and more) player servers people always warp around for me. Never had a smooth experience except very small missions. Ancient netcode maybe?

    Arma 2 1.06 Patch Suggestions

    Improve AI vehicle pathfinding. AI trying to manuever around a corner for 5 minutes or ignoring the road completely and going into the woods is a pretty big problem. Add some kind of gun elevation correction for Tanks, or even a simple FCS. Aiming WW2 style must be fixed after 3 games BIS.
  16. With the public release of ACE 2, I can't think of a better mission than a Project Reality like one to play it. I just don't understand why a game PERFECTLY suited for PR style PVP, is bogged down with Domination/Evo type boring MMO style grinding missions, yet PR does wonders with it's very limited BF2 engine reach. Which the limitations are the reason I don't like PR.

    Report: HD5870 & ArmA 2

    I can run everything at highest(low AA) with 1500m viewdistance(rest is not needed imo) with a 5850, i5 750 and 4gb DDR3. Everything at stock speeds.

  19. What happened to this mission? This was so promising, yet I can't find a single server running this anymore. Is it bugged or does it just can't get the attention from TvT players? TBH I don't like the coop missions like Domination and Evolution dominating the online servers. Berzerk is nothing but a lag fest. This one promised to bring PR style to ArmA 2, which I believe is the right way. So any news?
  20. Oh bugger . . . I wanted to see some real armored warfare in ArmA 2. How come they need a new engine to do that? Though, the expansion sounds totally awesome since "single player" portion of the game is revamped with ArmA 2. There's no way we're gonna see a "Queens Gambit" failure.
  21. TBH anything more than 256kbits should suffice for normal forum usage if the user don't voluntarily visit the images thread.
  22. One question would be; why are you still continuing the 100kb image limit? I understand the old forum engine was ancient and could have problems with it; but you're now using probably the best community board on the internet and you have a seperate server for the forums. Also, most people now have better connections and if the picture resolution is a problem there are vB scripts to resize them client sided. Is it a pointless tradition or are there any solid reasons for this?

    Realistic weapon interfaces

    A mod demonstration in ArmA shows that it's entirely possible even without developer interference. Though this mod never surfaced AFAIK, as most of ambitious projects like these do. Though, even with repeated suggestions in various types of threads during ArmA 2 development phase BIS gently ignored these kinds of suggestions. Weapon interfaces and even simple Fire Control Systems(for tanks, helis) would make this game superior. At least simple interfaces are confirmed for OFP2 btw.

  25. No. Graphically yes, but realism and immersion wise - no. BIS is just not willing to put more "armoured warfare" features into the game, they're happy with incremental graphics updates.
