  1. Those "Crusaders" look... this is awfully like a request post, don't slaughter me... how about making an Australia in the late 1800s based mod ... get the hint? Bucket for a helmet... somebody called Ned ? Its just I don't think the mechanics of ArmA 2 allow enjoyable medieval-style combat.

    Arma 2 1.06 Patch Suggestions

    I'd like to have 1. More performance tweaks. 2. Building-Grenade relation. Thrown objects keep dropping through floors.
  3. I haven't found a solution by browsing the thread, nor do I know if this is the best place for complaints, but at some point I'm completely unable to select any kind of special items such as Whitefos and stun-grenades. It just happened and doesn't scroll to those items no matter what I press.
  4. The only reason you feel that immersive under fire feeling is that you're being shot at for too bleeding long. However I'd like to see muzzle flash variation. Or atleast a smaller flash. I edited mine to a smaller scale, but there seems to be an alpha channel thingy around the whitish core. So it has a transparent orange flower expanding from it. Doesn't look too shabby, though.
  5. I'm running ArmA2 on E2140 @ 1,60 GHz 2 GB RAM 512 HD4850 no AA, no shaders, normal terrain, textures, shadows + FPS helper 20 FPS average, can't understand what's the fuss about and why do I get such relatively normal FPS... :icon_wink:

    Hey, thanks! I got it to work. I basically slapped the cfgmodels into the config... which was lacking there completely. I can't understand how I missed it there. Thanks again!

    Here are some example errors: Warning Message: Cannot load texture MPC\data\helmet.paa. - includes all textures used for the model -- Warning: MPC\mpc.p3d:1 Error while trying to generate ST for points: 5724, 5682, 5741 -- Warning Message: Make not available (requested by 'MPC\data\flora_vsr_vest_co.tga') - only a couple -- Warning: MPC\mpc.p3d:VIEW_PILOT Error while trying to generate ST for points: 4135, 4137, 4134 no idea what they mean. what are cargo lods? I know what a pilot lod is.
  9. Hello. I've got a problem with one of the models I've compiled. I've done these before with ArmA and OFP long ago and multiple times. I can't seem to get it ingame to work, the config is proper(i've used a sample) and the paths to the textures are fine(the model is also a sample, the russian one available). The thing is that when I select the unit in the editor it crashes without even an error message. I get shot to desktop and I get that stupid pointless Vista error identifying bar of failure. I think it may be something to do with the model, because there's no faults in the config. The only thing I've added was a helmet mesh from one of the Operation Flashpoint mods. I'm unable to fix the problem or make any sense from it, as I don't have any error messages. I hope someone has some ideas ... :cc:

    A question about the german version.

    I said that I didn't have time to search, since I just had the idea. Anyway, if the English patch is true then I'll buy it within the day. I can read and speak German, das ist kein problem für mich. löl
  11. Hello! I have no time to search just now so I just ask: I'd like to know if it's possible to change the German version of the game to English later? I want to buy the German version now (which is basically ~45€). If it's NOT possible to change the language, then I'll just have to wait until the English version. I just can't wait for it :cc:

    ArmA is too hard

    I've bought ArmA a few months ago. It's a great game, but it has severe problems with AI awareness. For example: Stealth missions are the epitome of cretinism.[Gryphons sub-mission] It seems it is about Rambo. Going in alone, that doesn't really bother me much, but the fact that the night is pitch black, the AI obviously don't use NVGs, the base is completely blacked out except the occasional UAZ and the blinking light in the radio mast. And suddenly rounds come flying at me, the siren is screeching at I'm dead about 200 metres away up the hill making no noise and pretending I'm not there. That is due to the fact that I'm using True Range, but without it, the AI don't engage the enemy over 500 metres. What should I do? The other thing that bugs me: Where should I enter the base? I can't climb over fences and before I can satchel the barrier I'll be wearing a 7.62 mm in my face. The entrance seems to be from the front gate... A lot of anger and frustration is released! Pshhhhh! Ahh.. that felt good. But, to shortly say: It's the best public virtual military simulator of all time, second only to Operation Flashpoint and it's just a game. Worth every penny!

    Thanks! I've fixed it. Took me a while to figure out, the whole "cpp" didn't work so I made separate hpp files and included them in cpp. Thanks again!
  14. I bought ArmA this morning, and immediately started making addons. I'm having this problem: I used the released P3D US_soldier model and modified certain bits. The Config and hpp's were easy enough to figure out, however, upon entering the game, the soldier is in the "default" model position about waist deep in the ground with no animations what-so-ever. I've assigned limbs to those whatchamacallins but nothing changed. Still, pretty good for a beginner. Hurgh!
