New beta patch 58834 works fine. Now the smoke grenades are actually useful again. This 5 pages long mouse lag or smoothing or whatever nonsense is hilarious... I was perfectly satisfied the way it was in the beginning. I hope some other guys are now satisfied also... Hopefully BIS has now time to look out for improving the performance and other more important tasks. Oh and thanks a lot for this beta stuff. Very nicely done from BIS letting us try the new builds soon as they are ready. -

Dogs of war is the most brutal performance killer of the Red Harvest campaign. I tried everything from lowering details to lowest possible and still i didn't get any more fps. It was about 10 the whole mission no matter high or low details and that tells me that the engine is at this point bugged. Though i don't remember the actual loading taking more than time than the rest of the missions. -
Strange. Another bug maybe. Do the enemy still send salvage trucks to area ? If so just follow where they come from and you'll eventually found their spawn spot and other structures that need to destroy. Other than that i can't help. Those other buildings weren't very far away from Msta central. It was pitch black when i was there so i couldn't see far away. There's fields just E of Msta and there i found them.

I have same problem. Been since the beginning and patch 1.03 didn't fixed it. Like you said, not a big deal but annoying still. ;)

I wondered this too when i was in this mission. I found out that somewhere E of Msta central area is more enemy buildings. Destroy those and task will be completed. You cant capture or destroy the HQ for some reason. Wander around the Msta village in the fields and you will notice. Just blow everything up.

29 with a wife and 2 kids that also hate Arma2. Though my son likes to watch when i play Arma2. :D

I have a question for devs about the patch 1.04. Now that you have confirmed that there will be performance improvements in it i suppose that you already have find the cause of bad performance. Otherwise this wouldn't be officially confirmed to have in next patch, because if it don't contain any performance fixes people would get upset. No ? :) There's been just lot of speculation which it is. Trees, bushes, grass, wall textures etc. It would be nice to know what was the real cause.

I bought german Arma1 soon as it was released digitally at Morphicon like i did with Arma2. I'm impatient person. I remember i finished Arma1 campaign after one patch. It wasn't so bug infested like some of here have said. Only the performance was horrible, but you could actually finish the campaign without using end mission cheat. ;)

I mostly play SP missions/campaigns nowadays because of my kids (wife too ;) )that needs attention for time to time so i'm very interested always to play SP campaigns. Bring it on. :cool: -
the second area we're prioritising is improving performance Excellent news indeed. Now we know there's something done with performance and not just tiny little not so urgent bugs fixed. :p as well as to grant access to interim versions, to those community members willing to help us with testing various aspects of planned changes in the core engine. I wonder how someone can sign for this ? I would be very interested to be part of this if needed.

Here's what i did. At first when i started the mission i didn't wanted to command troops so other generals handled all the battles for me, but when i had done everything else needed and the time to attack Msta came, i said to commander that i wan't to be in charge. So i did and ordered all my troops to Msta. All of them were destroyed in battles there, but when i entered there with my Razor and team only one T-72 all of the enemies tanks were smoldering wrecks. Easy. ;) Those CDF troops were just happen to be expendable. I know i'm an asshole. :D -

Assault the island with all your team members with you. I think they are the ones that actually disarm Lopotev. Then you can confront him when he drops weapons. -

Hmmm... Do you have rest of the Razor team with you on the island ? When i played this mission everytime Lopotev surrendered and didn't move at all. I just aproached him and then the scripted dialog started where you yell to him. The part what was bugged in my game was the extraction chopper not coming after Lopotev surrenders. This bug is all new to me. -

Quickest way to play this mission if there were no bugs is to leave the commanding of troops to other generals and just wait like 30 mins. (eat while waiting or something. ;) ) Then you should have enough money to buy T-72. Then you kick the driver hell out of there and jump in. The rest of the team can be ordered to like BMP-2. (it's armored enough because the resistance is ridiculous. There's enemy tanks only in enemy HQ town Msta. All other towns are just full of cannon fodder:) Now you only need to do these things. 1. assault the Chernogorsk capital city 2. go get the Lopotev bastard from the island (by chopper) 3. Bring the Lopotev to russians 4. Assault and destroy Msta town. Destroy everything that belongs to enemy. -

That's a different mission where you are. I suppose the mission you are playing is Razor 2. You can't find Lopotev in that mission. Only the Bardak guy in his car. -

We talked about this in other thread last weekend. :) It's bugged. Just load a save before entering the island and try again. Eventually the script will work and the pilot of the extraction chopper will contact you. This mission is still a mess even though BIS claimed otherwise in patch notes... -

Were all of your team mates inside the vehicle when you activated the fast travel ? If you have even 1 guy on foot and the rest inside vehicles it will still calculate the time like you all were walking. -

Fast travel is one thing that ISN'T bugged. You can use it only in your bases. Inside the blue squares. And you can build helicopters when you have builded the approriate building. -

Thanks mate. I didn't have any language errors even using 1.02 files, but it won't hurt using never files. :) -
I decided that now after couple of days playing it's fair to comment this matter. Even though i wouldn't wanted to say this, but i have to say i'm not satisfied with this patch at all. I'm mostly SP player and this patch didn't contain anything i would have wanted. All the fixes are mostly something i hadn't even noticed before so what did i get ? Nothing. I would have wanted performance fixes and campaign fixes. Nothing more. Dogs of war is still full of "game killer" bugs present here & there. Performance hasn't changed at all. Luckily it isn't any worse than in 1.02. ;) If BIS can fix/improve these 2 things i would be more than happy and Arma2 would stay my favourite game of all times. Until then i just try to enjoy what we have now.
