Why dont use high configuration PC of ARMA for playing OFP? With such idea, I used my new notebook which was intended for ARMA to play Liberation Mod of OFP yesterday night. Oh, I have to say what a terrific experiences got! Very quick and fluent game speed, all effects of Liberation Mod could be got which couldn't be met by my previous PC during OFP era. Surprised, the texture effects also felt better even in the same resolution as before.

God with you,FAB. You would create not only a Mod but a new game! We know we shouldn't ask too much or push for release. But you know, just cant help ourselves sometimes...
-
Wonderful idea and nice work.FAB! Just worried you might be so lonely to keep work and may stop it... But now glad to see you still are alive. Just a suggestion, whether is possible to use your addon compatible in Liberation Mod? For the very teriffic effects of Liberation Mod, I've adapted my WW2 stuff and played them in Liberation Mod. If your Mod come out, just worry to adapt them again, oh, too huge work for me... Maybe I ask too much Another suggestion, you could use high resolution texture for your addons now. With the PC for ARMA, now we could play a real WW2 battle in OFP. With disappointing at ARMAR's lag, I now play OFP and could put many troops in game. Now a real fight anmiated for WW2 east and west...

Any screenshoots for soldiers? Just wonder whether the current ARMA tool could allow make total new models for game or you will just transfer the model from OFP?? -
Have you give up your OFP project? But I'm afraid it's difficult to play large WW2 screnario in ARMA because of the high PC request. It wont be nice just like playing CS for WW2 game with few troops in the game.

So I said ARMA is just for next generation of PC...

Mabye members from Liberation Mod could offer some solier packs. Actually they have done very good in OFP. I still play my WW2 stuff in Liberation Mod. You know, the animations in the Mod is as good as that of ARMA.
-
Just hope it won't follow some examples in OFP. We talked in forum for many years for a Mod eagerly and hopefully and finally the Mod members declared for some reason it was dead. OH... So I appreciate what the way Liberation 41 Mod has been done. They said little but did much. Everytime they could give us a surprise with their each release...

Oh, Damn it, my Laptop was installed Vista from computer plant and it seems may cause unstable system if using XP. I think BIS should release a patch for Vista system for ARMA.
-
Sorry, but just a little question. Is the Soviet Soldier model remade totally as a new one or just modified from current ARMA models?

Very nice, just use high resolution for textures for the current OFP addons since now we could use ARMA's PC for playing OFP. But won't get as much lags as ARMA. I've been playing Lib Mod and other OFP addons with my new laptop, of which those addons were once difficult to run during OFP time.

Awesome! Much more realisitic than the version released for OFP. By way, just would like to know how you make the new one for ARMA. Did you transfer them from OFP verison or totally made new model for ARMA? -
Oh, God, if it really exists, at least could show some screenshoots...

I'm really doubt whether MARPHY is a real person who ever existed. Never saw any real addons from him in OFP... For John's king tiger, of course very nice. I've been playing his heavy german tank addons in OFP WW2 scenario. For this one for ARMA, just a pity there would be no any WW2 soldier addons to be used in ARMA currently. I've got many WW2 stuff in OFP, just wonder whether any latest ARMA editing tool could be used for transferring them to ARMA??

I've spent around 3500 bucks getting a new notebook with high configuration. But still couldn't play ARMA smoothly and could only put two squads with several vehicles in game with some lags. When I retried it with my OFP addons under Liberation Mod, it went very fast with lots of soliders and vehicles. So it seems ARMA still waiting for next PC generation but not currently.

Absolutely, I also often play OFP after getting the ARMA. Â For ARMA playing, now just like play C.S. and something just like a small special mission since I could only put few soldiers and vehicles in game. Because even with 3G RAM, T7700 CPU, 120G Harddisc and 8600GT VGA Card, my notebook still got much lags under VISTA system. But for OFP, now I could put more tanks, troops, planes and others and made the battle just like a real one in larger scale. Of course, I just use Invassion 44 and Liberation Mod's high quality addons in OFP game. Although the graphic of ARMA is really awesome and it's also the reason why I still play ARMA after encountering so much lags in game, the OFP graphics now also became very nice with my latest notebook intended for ARMA originally.

The PC updating seems never catch up with the game updation! That's the reason why use the new PC for old game. Actually, even in OFP, our previous PCs were not well matached. Often some people said some Mods or addons with higher requirement had caused troubles for their computers. So for my current notebook, it could play ARMA without question. But are not very fluent or quick when using more vehicles or soldiers. But for OFP, it could do very well.

Just a question, whether ARMA could be compatible with VISTA system or Not? For playing ARMA, I just purchased a new notebook in high cost last week and still haven't got ARMA. I plan to purchase the game online. But suddendly found in the forum, it seems it's not easy to play ARMA under Vista system. So annoyed currently. My notebook configuration: CPU: T7700 ( 2.4 GHz ) RAM: 2G DDR2 VAGCARD: NVDIA GeForce 8600M GT HARDDISK: 200GB ( serial ATA, 5400 revolves, 100GBx2) OPERATING System: Win Vista TM( could only install Vista)
-
Fortunately, now I could play the demo under VISTA after solving the D3DX9 issue! I think I could buy a formal game?? Oh, the picutre of the game is really awesome, very very realistic and the OFP couldn't compare it at all. Actually, the SONI notebook costed me almost 3300 bucks with the machine itself, Virus sofware and some other accessories.
-
Thanks, Maxisum, I also thought of installing two operating systems in my notebook. But my technical guy told me that would make the system unstable. Oh, shit
-
Changing a notebook after purchase will be a fortune! Maybe return the game disc will be a better choice. But could they accept that...?
-
Maybe it's the problem of VISTA operating system? And it couldn't be compatible with that of ARMA? I just bought a Soni Notebook with VISTA TM system and T7700 CPU and 8600m GT graphic card. But even couldn't play ARMA demo! It said there was no D3DX90-30 found! When I tried to play OFP, it also failed. Is the damned VISTA system workable for ARMA or OFP?? I never got such problem for WinXP. But now my new computer could just use VISTA since XP couldn' be installed...
