Thanks FritzDaKat. Â I updated that DirectX End-User Runtime and it seemed to install some more files (or update). Â Also the Realtek 1.90 drivers for my onboard sound. Just played for a solid 5 hours without the blackscreen-restart issue! Hope this works tomorrow!

This might be an easy one. I have two thumb buttons(#4 & 5) on the side of my Logitech MX400 mouse. Arma only sees that button 4 can be used in Controls and does not respond to #5. When I look in my player config file to see how button 4 is labled, it's a number {65539}. How can I use #5 in my config file if I cannot determine what number it is?

Ok. Blackscreen (nvidia display stops responding after 30min-1hr+ of gameplay) Computer will restart. Someone suggested making sure Vysnc is set to on in the NVidia control panel for the ArmA.exe, but that didn't seem to work. Tried drivers: Â 169.44, 174.74 & 174.85 Â (all had the same problem) Vista64, 4GB of Ram, 8800GTX. Â <span style='color:red'>UPDATE</span> In the NVidia Control Panel, I made sure: Anistropic Filtering=App Controlled Antialiasing=App Contr. Texture Quality=Performance Triple Buffering=Off Vertical Sync=App Contr. <span style='color:red'>UPDATE</span> Well, the dream was short-lived. Â It's crashing again. I'll try the maxmem command.

And speaking of not seeing servers, where are all the 1.11 servers? All I see is one and it's playing that Saharni Life b.s. I really don't want to go play 1.08 again.

I use the 163.69 but I get the black screen at the beginning of the game as most Vista players get with 4gb of ram. But this Securom fix is only for the crashing problem right? Dead in the water

Changing the Arma.exe with CFF Explorer as per Dwarden suggested seems to have worked for me (4+ hours of play). Still doing tests. Well, unfortunately I still have the problem so.... pfft!

So I take it this new 'Hotfix 1.08' doesn't address this issue? Damn, it's the only thing really pissing me off about Arma.

For the record, pushing the * (asterisk) on both the numpad and top of keyboard did not free me of the freelook conundrum. So... I'm still upset.
