Thats probably it and exactly why I'm having to upgrade. -

Whatever, splitting hairs, unified patch is going to be out very soon that's what is important. -
Multiplayer performance = 1/2 Singleplayer Performance

And like I said the serverside viewdistance is less than it is when I play singleplayer ;) Edit: I've just ordered an i7 920 OC @4.1 Ghz so I'll do some more comparisions tomorrow when I recieve it I do agree with Armin2 however that something is not quite right. Hoping the 505 release sorts it. -

That might be explainable if your talking about cpu but not gpu. I know what the enforced server settings are server side and they are lower than my singleplayer settings. -
Multiplayer performance = 1/2 Singleplayer Performance

I've noticed that in singleplayer both my GPU's (ati x2 & latest drivers) max out and I get consistently high fps however in multiplayer my GPU's stay around 20-30% load and I see a drop in fps of around 50%. I cannot see how this can be anything to do with server side settings. -
That'll be it thanks I'll try it. :) Update: Crossfire now working
-
I'd like to add to this whole ArmA2 Crossfire debate. I've been doing some experiments and certainly on my system with the latest 9.6 drivers (and tested using older drivers) there is no crossfire going on in game. I use Vista Ultimate and have tried with and without the -winxp parameter. As you will see from my screengrab below crossfire is enabled but ArmA2 is only using one of the GPU and curiously enough it's not the first GPU it's using but the second. I'd very much like to hear a comment from Suma regarding this if he has the time thank you.

How to turn Anti Aliasing on - Game looks horrible without
[kh]jman replied to garack666's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
Armed Assault2 with fillrate @ 100% This is with all settings on normal except anisotrophic filtering very high. Don't know what settings you are using but looking at your screenshot it has nothing to do with the fillrate setting you have. -
For info: I have contacted Placebo regarding the legitimacy of our servers install. I hope that clears things up. I take this matter very seriously as in my eyes these type of aspertions (however loose they may be) stick and could be potentially harmful to our clan as a whole. We do not condone illegal copies and actively ban illegal keys & persistent team killers and work with the 'doaccs' dev as indeed we have been doing for the last 2 1/2 years.
-
Certainly. I will be around on our Teamspeak server this evening around 8pm BST

Myself nor any of my clan members have reported any difficulties connecting to our A2 server. If anyone is experiencing any issues related to our server I would like to redirect them to this topic thus not deflecting away from the real topic of this thread.

?? I don't see what difference that should make. The install on the Kellys Heroes server is genuine - I bought it through Morphicon on Tuesday the 2nd June. Kellys Heroes pride ourselves on offering the community the best possible Arma/Arma2 multiplayer experience and whenever possible always have an admin either in game or on Teamspeak. We do not condone illegal copies and actively ban illegal keys & persistent team killers as indeed we have been doing for the last 2 1/2 years.

Can anyone comment further on this? Edit: just noticed this thread further down: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=73563 ;)
