TV is something different. TV is not interactive and can not replace real life as the internet does. I know many people who play this or play this kind of game and believe me, no or a pathetic real life. The U2 meet is a good example, why not go to a concert or a meet and greet and meet them yourself in real life. Big Brother is pathetic by the way.

I wonder why they call it second life because people playing this game don't even have a real life.

I thought it would be usefull for addon makers to have an addon research topic. This topic is specifically for addon research. For mission you should take a look over here. You can request or post info and pictures. Usefull links Some link that are usefull if you´re looking for pictures, walk arounds and specifications: General Military Globalsecurity.org Armyrecognition.com Jane´s Armour and Artillery Requires registration Jedsite.info Requires registration Militaryphotos.net DefenceTalk Picture Pallery Panzerbaer.de Olive drab Warfare.ru Lend Lease Walk arounds Primeportal.net Tanxheaven.com Uniforms and personal gear Henrik Clausen's camouflage uniforms of the world Alltoursnatives camouflage uniforms Martin's camouflage uniforms Mark's uniforms Camouflage fabric swatches Kamo's camouflage collection Militarymorons.com Aviation KeyPublishing Forums Sky Corner Scramble.nl Military Aviation Firearms DeicideNBF's firearms gallery Deactived Guns Guns.ru Feel free to add your own links. Please post in this topic. This is not a debate topic. So please no discussions on who is right and who is wrong. Just present you facts and let the addon maker judge if he will use them or not.

This pretty much shows the level of knowledge on this forum. -
Done (unpinned) Just keep in mind, if you have a 600x150 image in your signature there is no room for additional text. Don't forget there are other ones as well

A quote from a great man. He is wrong, though. We heard of ArmA in May 2005, and it's first release date was Q4 2005. How I know this? Cause I started my website in August 2005 - which would be kinda weird if the game development started months after... Why, oh WHY are you saying this again? If you actually read the quote, you'd see that I do infact state that ArmA was announced in May 2005... How does that POSSIBLY conflict with your info? Take like 2 mins to actually read the quote, then have a poke around the screenshots on your site. You'll see that I'm correct... Sorry, my fault mate. Although I still cannot see why you can say the game development first started in 2006. That the screenshots are alot nicer is very clear, but that is IMHO part of the development of a game. The game has been under development far longer than what we assume, just look at those littlebirds and rotor wash... I have seen them somewhere before - and of all people, you should as well. That and the fact that it is simply a build on an earlier engine. Maybe it was from ofp leet? and that littlebird sure looks like the BAS model... At what point though do all models start to look alike and become nigh impossible to tell apart without an exaustive raw model audit? Besides, iirc only the UH 60 and CH 47 models were significantly new, the OH 6 and OH 58's were tweaks and mods of the BIS models. but arent the BIS models the BAS ones ? No, we're saying the BAS models are BIS models, not that BIS models are BAS models. No, his saying BIS models are BAS models. thats what i've been saying from the start. i mean why would BIS make new models if BAS had better ones? No, I said BAS edited BIS models for the OH 6 and OH 58, and integrated small portions of the BIS models for the CH 47 and UH 60. Which was wrong, because the OH-6 was an entirely new model at the time we released it (the OH-6 had never been an "official" part of any BIS product until it was included in VBS1) People, some folks like ArmA, and some don't...can't we just leave it at that without discussing every detail of every aspect of its flaws and shortcomings? Abs Look Mr. Abs, some of us who paid $50 for this game have a right to complain about this product. if its all imported BAS stuff i will be asking for my money back. Yeah, who knows what sort of chaos there would be if it were all Combat! rips instead of BAS ones. I don't see Combat! mentioned anywhere? Nice job taking this off topic shinRaiden. can we get back to the topic at hand now? It wouldn't be that weird if modding teams would cooperate. Look at VBS1 addon packs. -

I don't really understand your problem. With those 2 kits you should be able to fit the M203 on your gun the way you want right?

The 5-tonners could use an update

There's an airsoft thread somewhere.

I have no idea which mod you are refering to. I think this would suit better in the mod's respective thread.

Totally agree. Shirts are absolutely useless.

**REQ** - Can't find a WW2 Russian anti-tank gun

Don't know where it is now but it's included with Remo's North Korean pack as well. -
I don't really understand the fuss about it. What's wrong with asking a small fee for a tool that can make your life easier? He offered a free version as well? When does the line get crossed? I remember seeing addon readme's with the text "If you like this addon, donate money on PayPal account blablabla". Many fansites have a donate button as well. Very simple. If BIS 'condones' ie allows people to use their resources for commerical purposes, BIS gets all sorts of liability issues. Two examples : Toadlife's [highcrack] mission, which was sued for trademark, and probably also functionality reasons, as it was unlicensed exploitation, even though non-commercial. Secondly the recent legal pressure on the mod community from a movie studio for linking to copyrighted content from a site that was recieving money. I doubt BIS will get liability issues with a tool to edit their own files... Again when does the line get crossed? Isn't a PayPal donate button in a way commercial as well?

Why? It's not that hard to just put an OFP model in ARMA.
