The stock looks a bit weird but other than that the FN SCAR looks rather simple, i like it. The L85 is one of the ugliest rifles out there, G36 and famas too :crazy: . I think BIS could have used M4's for the soldiers and HK416's for SF but i dont mind the SCAR.

Or decided that the cost would be too high. I think most would disagree with your opinion of the apache and warthog though, atleast i do.

You are thankfull that the aquisition of a rifle was canceled based on how it looks while the soldiers continue to field a 40 year old flawed weapon design that is likely to put their efficiency and safety at risk :confused: .

Its a war game so the story is secondary, the characters, dialog (!!), events and situations are what really matters.

Oh.. i see what you mean now, its alot worse than A2 indeed. I had that kind of stuff with Arma 2 when i used high texture detail but it also happened to some of the buildings, maybe decreasing some of the video settings will help, other than that i wouldnt worry too much about it untill OA is patched to 1.7.

I'd rather have less overall detail than annoying LOD switching the models betwean 1998 and 2010 style, i hope its not as bad as the Arma 2 cardboard hmmwv M2...

Hmm, but Tangoromeo's doesnt look as bad as yours (doesnt look bad at all imo). Have you tried increasing 3d resolution to say 150% just to see if it helps?

Maybe BIS were more concerned about performance this time? Because A2 really ran like crap for most people. My A2 vegetation looked hideous compared to Arma 1 too :confused: .

After Arrowhead ships what will you use? After Operation Arrowhead ships all you Armaniacs will be able to play (or edit) Arma 2 and OA combined, OA only (because its a standalone product and doesnt require A2) or just stick with A2 because they wont be getting OA.. edit: Why does it say This poll will close on 07-05-2010 at 04:46 PM? :mad: .

I dont see any reason to launch A2 if you have OA installed (with access to everything) but you might miss Eagle Wing if you dont patch to 1.5 first, we dont know yet..

Hmm... draw distance in half is still a good 5 KM and he didnt specify under what circunstances did he score those 20-25 fps, could be a "heavy" mission or benchmark, or something..

I probably wont use A2 anymore and wont bother reinstalling it... -Chernarus performs very bad in some areas and as a war zone i just dont like it. -A2 vehicles wont fully support FLIR, and OA provides plenty enough to make up for it. -A2 vehicles might not get some enhancements from OA, like counter measures, etc. -A2 weapons might not use the new enhancements (adjustable scope, tac lights). -I dont like the CDF, NAPA or the comunist insurgents, so good ridance to them. I think i just dont want A2 in my soon to be Arrowhead instalation :) .

If you have both A2 and OA installed you should have full compatbility with OA users and servers Xenomorph :) . Some people might choose not to use A2 anymore and install OA only, others might not buy OA and stick playing A2 (it sound strange but the possibility exists so its covered).

Since Op. Arrowhead is standalone i want to find out if people still plan to keep playing A2, there will also be people who will buy Arrowhead but have no interest or dont own original A2. Im also trying to decide if i will reinstall A2 or not, for now i plan to install Arrowhead and let A2 go..

Well, by your picture the squad was supposed to be following you in a staggered column formation, but the formation bug turned it more like a staggered line so it looks like the target #6 reported to be in front of you is actually at your 4 o'clock? My mistake, the reported direction is actually in relation to the direction the squad formation is facing (not the squad leader). See what you mean now...
