Ah, wtf. I just pre-ordered it from amazon.co.uk. All games all expansions. 16 september it's released on DVD so I look forward to it :P Thats does mean I will have OFP 3 times (bought it when it came out with all expansions and later bought a bundle), arma with expansion 2 times and arma2 2 times lol. Ah well, great for LAN parties.

So... I finally have a computer that can run ArmA 2 :). It's a i5 2500k cpu with 8 gig ram and windows 7 64-bit. ArmA2 was the first game I installed and I also finished it now yesterday. Finally, after years. Anyway, I liked the campaign except the last 2 missions. But to be honest it is the worst campaign of all the OFP and ArmA games. But still, it is always nice to shoot and blow stuff up. My question is.... How are the campaigns of the expansions. I mostly see Operation Arrowhead as expansion, but are there more? And is there one bundle so I can buy it all at once? I hunger for more. Many thanks. Edit: So I found out there is a bundle called ArmA X. And I found out there are 3 expansions. AO, britisch armed forces and Private military company. Are these 3 good campaigns? Buying ArmA X is almost same price if I buy all 3 expansions seperatly. I might just go buy this version then. Saved me all the trouble to download patches and stuff for the other games as well.

Will my PC Run this? What CPU/GPU to get? What settings? System Specifications.

Why is that? I don't understand much of the AMD vs. Intel debate. But I always had AMD. Is there no noticable difference in gaming rigs? Since you suggest this processor I can get the Intel® Core™ i5-2500K for 180 euro and the ENGTX560 Ti for 215 euro (or the EAH6950 for 243 euro) So I guess I'll stick to Nvidia this time again and go for the intel processor. Since I will do it within 1-2 months maybe the price will drop a bit too :) Thanks for the replies Nvm, i read the section http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/301103-28-core-2500k-phenom-1090t and the 2500k outperformes amd in all ways. So its the i5-2500k for me :) -

I still own a crappy PC which can't run Arma2 (although I bought it some time ago). I read there are quite some expansions for the game now which are uberfun. So when I get my hard earned money the next month or the month after that I wanna buy a new computer. I just finished OFP again and ArmA (+expansions) so it's time to move on. I was thinking of this processor: AMD Phenom II X6 1090T And I need a good graphic card for that. Still can't decide whether to buy Nvidia or ATI. Either the ASUS EAH6970 or something nvidia similar. What card do you guys suggest... thanks in advance :) -
Troubled mind, want to buy ArmA 2

Ah ok. Well, I could not find any ArmA II copy in any store around here lol. I now ordered it from BOL.com which had it in stock. Ordered today so they should deliver it tomorrow. First I will have fun with ArmA II and I will order Arrowhead later on. But today... I'm gonna shoot people with ArmA queen gambit. -

I cancelled my order at play.com. For days it has been "awaiting stock" and the game has been out of stock there for quit some time. And I can't wait longer, so tomorrow I will go to the gameshop not far from where I work. -
DooM.. Nothing beat DooM. Or Deus Ex.

Thanks for all the replies guys :). I expect ArmA 2 to arrive this week and I will see how it will run. I don't have money to spend on new hardware yet since I started a new study. (and my wife+kids also want vacation). If it will run like sjit, I will first get a quad core processor and plug that on my mb. -

True. But I already have tons of games through STEAM. No difficulty re-downloading them. I do have trouble re-downloading my NWN2 expansion set via ATARI though. But steam works pretty well. But yes... retail is good also. I love my OFP box and booklet and my ArmA box. I can wait another few days. Tuesday I will get the retail :) ---------- Post added at 11:08 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:06 AM ---------- 15 euro? Guess I go order here :). Thanks. -

Thanks. I love the series and play them very often. The community, mods and editing make the game last forever. I go for the steam version as I just read the 1.06 version will be for both steam and retail. I don't expect to have 40 fps all the time, but as long as it is around 30-35 I am happy. -
Yesterday I finally finished "Royal Flush" from ArmA 1. I was stuck at a mission but finally managed it when I had some wine. I think it is time to move on and buy ArmA 2. I did the canyourunit from the website and I past the recommended with my Amd Althlon 64 x2, 5200+ 3 gig ram 9800GTX+ The demo run at 25 fps but I read the patches also improve performance. But which version shall I buy... shall I buy the retail or steam version. I read that steam never got the 1.05 version through the auto updater. So will the steam version get the same support as the retail later on? If yes, I think I will buy the steam version today. Normally I would have bought ArmA 2 (as i did with OFP and Arma) upon release but I had a low end PC upon release and even now I am unsure how the patched ArmA 2 will run. Thanks in advance.

Cold War Rearmed - Public Beta Release
Gorgi Knootewoot replied to W0lle's topic in ARMA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
How do I install it. I checked the Search function and FAQ's but I can't figure it out. Here is how I done it (which obviously didn't work :) ) I downloaded: CWR_1985_V1_05 CWR_Resistance_V1_05 cwr_rifles CWR_Co42_SeizeTheBase2.noe CWR_Infantry_V1_09.Abel and the loads of MP missions I created a folder in my ArmA folder called @CWR Then I made subfolders and I got: ArmA-- @CWR-- Campaigns Addons MPMissions Missions I moved the 2 campaigns CWR_1985_V1_05 and CWR_Resistance_V1_05 in ArmA/@CWR/Campaigns I moved the cwr_rifles in ArmA/@CWR/Addons I moved the CWR_Infantry_V1_09.Abel in ArmA/@CWR/Missions I moved the load of multiplater missions in ArmA/@CWR/MPMissions And I didn't know what to do with CWR_Co42_SeizeTheBase2.noe I start the game with arma.exe -nosplash -mod=@CWR The game starts, but I get a warning that cwr_rifles needs addons "Cold_War_Rearmed". The menu and stuff is the same as ArmA, nothing changed. I can choose campaign and I see the 2 campaigns. But when I select it the game hangs. I can't choose any single player or multiplayer mission. What am I doing wrong ? Thanks in advance :) Edit: I think I forgot something to download. The 1478 mb part lol. Downloading RC4 now.. Still, where does CWR_Co42_SeizeTheBase2.noe go?- 607 replies

I don't think a quad will fit on my mb. I'll have to check that out first. :)
