    So, it seems, that Russian community violates the author's rights again. Today we have spotted an interesting video created by Tushino server - https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_profilepage&v=wwjdbMcfrt0 Here we see the Beketov island separately of the VTN-mod, and even no any credits to the authors. We were not allowed Tushino to run Beketov in the online-events without VTN-mod. Moreover, they approached us with this question, and we gave them the same answer as above to Cirav - feel free to use Veteran on your servers, but as long as you not modify it and respect the author's rights. This is a common ethic of whole Arma-community. Unfortunately, this is not a first case of non-ethical behaviour of Russian projects. We remember the story of WordZombie.ru and mr. Mukhin, who stole the beautiful Martin's Taviana island and sold it. Well, we can only give our apologies for Tushino users, who may suffer because of multiple errors, bugs and lost objects than provides Beketov without VTN-mod.

    I have no issues with vanila Chernarus imported by hands. This problem reveals only in the custom island.

    Public use of Beketov and his components without VTN-mod is not allowed. I.e. releasing missions, machinimas, creating online-servers, and so on. Of course, you can use Beketov privately in the editor with or without any addons, as long as it is not shown to the public.

    Missed changelog - - Removed zoom on the vanilla vehicles. - Removed placeholders of the VTN vehicles. Now, all the vehicles are vanilla. - Vanilla infantry units are replaced by VTN ones. - Added some loading screens. - Added the cutscene for Beketov. - Some localization fixes. - Some tweaks for optical sights.

    Since VTN and ACE may seem very similar to each other, there is some fundamental ideological differences. At first - VTN was made to simulate combined arms combat in accordance with field manuals of both sides. We try to provide experience of the large scale missions, where the main role is played by the group weapons (MG, sniper rifles), maneuver and concentrated fire of the whole squad/section. Yes, separate rifleman does not mean absolutely nothing and will be quickly pwned by the organized unit of players or AI. This is the truth. This is the only faith of the lonely cowboy in the VTN. You should not even try to set player against the whole AI squad and click them down with your LMB. This will not work :) Try to play some coop party with 5-7 friends, evade enemies, outflank them, pull them down with a concentrated fire, and you will see the diffirence. And you'll see the true way, which VTN is meant-to-be-played. There is no crutches that forces players to work together - no "roles", no artifical squads, no radars-in-the-eye-which-shows-frends or e t.c.. Co-operate or the more organized force will own you - that's all :p At second - we are very careful about the balance of the sides. We believe that the balance - it was artificial value, which should be used with caution. Both sides (BLU and RED) have advantages and disadvantages IRL. BLU side is well equiped with scopes, NVG, thermal visions, blue4 officers haves the battle experience in the middle-east conflicts. In the other hand, they operate in hostile territory, forced to think about supplying their troops, finally - the marines has mainly the light vehicles. The Russian mechanized troops (represented by fiction 29'th guards Motorized rifle brigade) haves their own features - red personnel are less trained, but the Russia has many special units operating in the Beketov area (IRL in Russia is realy lot of different "Spetsnatz" units per km^2 which are not formally belong to the army - Police, Internal troops, FSB, FSO, FSKN, GUIN, FSSP, FUBAR... These structures are not regulated by international conventions on the number of ground forces, but trained and equipped well and in case of the war obviously will act on their territory). Red vehicles are more powerful, but are very vulnerable at night, red troops gets supply and intel from the local population, and so on. As you see, VTN gameplay is not hardly balanced (like the ArmA 3 for example), but there is no imbalance like in OA-vanilla or the ACE. VTN - is no kind of beating the savages with high-tech laser guns in the easy and funny coop mission. No. We try to keep the fragile asymmetric balance of two powerful sides. The lack of zoom and increased role of the optics, collimators and machine guns - is only tip of the iceberg. So. I hope I have explained the radical difference that distinguishes VTN gameplay from the vanilla an the other overhaul mods, the community used to. The only true way to gain experience of the VTN - is abstract from the previous experience in ArmA 2, ACE, SLX, e.t.c.. And imagine that you first started OFP in 2001... This is the most frequent feedback, which we received from beta testers :)

    Version updated! Actual link is in the 1st post. - Added bisigns to all Beketov pbos. - Fixed MG belts on the BLU4 weapons. - Some fixes in the medicine system. - Some fixes in the "climb over" animation. Yes, the TV-tower is nearly 200% of size :)) This is a compromise to represent size of the typical provincial TV-tower. In the full version for ArmA 3 we will replace this one with some sort of new greek towers.

    Mission of this mod - is a believeable representation of the modern combined arms battle in the ArmA 3. Our main difference from the other mods - is our orientation on the large-scale battles, not only Coops on the BLU4 side. And as said above - VTN will overhaul the whole setting in the ArmA 3 to the modern one. VTN equipment system (i.e. dressing up and vest capacity :o) is not compatible with vanilla inventory. And, obviously, firearms will not be balanced. Ot the other hand, of course, if you want to have a war between Finns and Chinese in the central-Russian island - you can do this, we can't stop the user's imagination :D UPD The first post is updated with a torrent link.

    We are looking for partner server, who help us throw a VTN-COOP-Party this weekend in the international community :) Will play DAP's "Insurgency in Beketov", i think. With 20-30 slots. Will attend one of the authors, who will help to explain mod basics and answer some questions. If your server is ready to participate - contact me via PM. Never noticed this problem, will check it out. I think, this is some kind of graphic card glitch because of lot of objects. It appears in the city, or in the smaller villages too? Are you using the "VTN True color" module? Can you make a screen?

  18. I think he's 28 y.o. asocial unemployed, who lives with his mother, and does not think about such things as "business", "stolen content" or "copy rights". He just wanted a quick money, and he just must to be punished, and that's all. He personally must to experience the discomfort of the situation - trough menace, insults, deanonimization - no matter. He just has to suffer at all. As for the project "WorldZombie" itself - no need to worry about that. With such level of "support", it will die in a month or two.

    Thank you, guys :) It would be nice to see the works of other authors. Moderators, sorry for the size of some photos. I cant fix it now, because using a work PC without graphic editors, i promise to fix it later :) In addition, there is no huge photos anyway, maybe ten kb over limit or two
