Planes will have basic countermeasures available i read somewhere or saw in one of the youtube videos. Planes can do some rolling to left or right side, do loops and fly upside down and there is the ability shut off engines while in air and there is the basic auto landing system that takes you to the nearest airport and lands the plane. in A1 aircraft could only have cannon and missile or cannon and bombs but some tweaks in game engine allows aircraft to have more different weapons in same aircraft. If you check pics of A-10 it shows both bombs, missiles and its cannon :) -

I tried the latest version I think I got it from Armaholic or armedassault.info :D I visit both sites frequently. Anyways the sounds soldiers shout when spotting and enemy ect. are missing or something. I just get the report text but no sound. Weapons and vehicles and trigger sound fx all works but voices are gone. It removes alot of the immersion if everything is dead silent except for the ocasional weapon sounds. -

yeah there is supposed to be a 3d editor inside the mission editor where you can move objects in a 3d view and not only the 2d map view :) -

the grass cutter object should be like the fire place object that you can have inflame true or inflame false in its init line to say if grass will be on or off, awesomest thing ever would be to have a system similar to setpos where you can assign 0,5 or other value to set grass height :) -

sweet looking ponds in the dev blog :D Just missing some water drop fx when the rain hits the water but its a nice to have feature only :D Wonder if any of the community will do big water falls n such later on :) -
You should give the flying a new chance, its really great in A1 :) Choppers feel more like living breathing fighting machines and not just flying a borg cube :D I was first hateful against the flying of choppers in A1 but after a month it worked fine, and even better after that patch where they fixed the little errors :) Sometimes its a bit hard to turn but I mean its a chopper and not a volvo 240 so its more complex. There is definitely more feeling of skill when flying A1 choppers. More rewarding when you make a ffar run against a enemy base in warefare or sneak up on to a tank from the sea side and strafe it with some cannon fire :D + whenever you feel bored you can make the chopper loop sideways so it goes flying upside down and do some wacky tricks with it, most of them with lethal outlook but it looks cool! :D though I fly with mouse and keyboard.

About russian planes, if you check on arma2 website for press kit, in one of the pdf's i remember a russian plane was mentioned and showed a pic of. I think it was the vehicles pdf.

1 tutorial, 3 sp missions and a coop , a traditional mp mission and a warefare mission :)

great movie, seen all of them and bits and pieces of most of the different tv shows from the old one to the one with the bald guy wich imo was the best one, but i also seen enterprise wich also was good. It had like everything in it imo. More human stuff like relations and so on, more fx and explosions and more fighting and action and suspense, and some suprising stuff. Haha lol yeah red matter was just a plot thingy but imoo it was explained visually more than with words..

C'mon why you guys complaining of silly stuff. I mean Bis localizes the game anyways, menu's and subtitles. :)

The final A.i will probably be a improvement from A1 and then there is the more fluid animations and reloading a rifle while walking slowly instead of standing still. The more fluid anims feel probably give a huge boos to the Pvp community part. More factions than in previous games, the wildlife of course and the Rpg system. The new vehicles like mortars and Mlrs artillery and big ass transport aircraft like the c-130 will make people go nuts i think. The latest version of the warefare mp mode will probably rock hard. The Campaign that from vids and previews and interviews feel like its been really worked on with love and care and attention to detail imo. Gameplay stuff like drag and heal woundead will really add a whole new dimension into playing the game :) With all the carefully made factions and stuff I think the expansion packs, Dlc opurtunities look good also. -
arma 1 featured Hmmw variants, I think arma 2 will also have Hmmw's in different loadouts like M2, Tow and Mk12 :)

I think the most logical DLC stuff would be new campaigns, like a campaign for each faction + adding a couple of new vehicles covering all vehicles classes from air to civilian and boats and tanks ect. Throwing in some new guns like Bohemia did with Resistance expansion to OFp 1. I loved the revolver and Scorpion :D Also a couple of new Mp missions in each DLC maybe taken some parts from the campaign that is connected to that part of DLC. New factions is just overkill, to much work to choose out wich ones to put in the game really, I mean there is alot of countries in the world... Better to just improve the one's already there. Add some cool scripts + tutorials and mission editing stuff like maybe new musics and squashing some of the unescapable bugs. :) Hehe fans of Bis think forward and setup preproduction for Bis next project :icon_mrgreen:

Yeah Arma1 had driver, gunner and commander in a tank, the commander had comander view and could also operate the tank top machinegun :) As alone player in a tank or a player with a bunch of a.i's in a tank you could jump between the positions in the tank. totally hats of to shinRaiden! Explains alot.
