Yeah maybe. Or they are given names to work with ALICE and special missions. So they actually get a town name in the map. Could be either way. :) -

It will be announced in here as soon as its possible. Remember many places dont even know about 29th june yet. Im mailing swedish stores and other places atm telling them about 29th june and not 31st december as in their sale info. :)

The little intro of music in the editor in that random town generator video sounds great! Also the village looks bloody natural! :) Awesome job BIS. -

Never seen this problem either. Also hard to get virus through the addons themselves i think. Just to let you know this isnt anything ive seen or heard among those i know. -

Eh what? That is a feature requested by the community. It is there to simulate lying in grass. Remember before we got this? The units were completely visible and were not able to hide in grass at distance. There is a little problem when they sink in that you aim above to score a hit. Hopefully corrected, but the sinking is hiding in grass wich most of us want. -
^^ My comment wasnt based on that post alone. And you know that. Running to "daddy" when i come back at you is really weak. Stk2008: Yeah long range fighting makes it very hard a lot of the times and maybe its improved in OA. But it will be nice to see if the other animation loss after exit vehicles is improved. This is one thing that some didnt like with ARMA and might be another thing adding up to abandoning it.

"It is meant to update ArmA II and all old units in ArmA II to OA standard." ARMA2 units etc will not be updated when you install OA AFAIK. OA will add brand new factions with new units and gear/vehicles that have the FLIR layer and the improved faces etc. I dont think OA when installed replaces the ARMA2 units/gear/vehicles to OA standard as you say. Never seen BIS say that. However ive seen them say ARMA2 units/vehicle/gear/islands will work in OA but will lack the new stuff such as FLIR layer, new improved faces etc etc. Maybe i missed something though?

We can hope, but dont take that as holy truth because it was the same with ARMA2 where we thaught preview videos had some place holder sounds and then they were never changed. This im sure is due to lack of manpower and time though wich creates priority challenges. The sounds that are changed should be great though since it seems BIS recorded sounds themselves this time. That will be interesting to hear. And in the end we have talented sound modders that can patch up what we dont like. The way it always was, and thankfully BIS gave us that possibility. :) -

So then can you please test without MMA (and other addons) to see if the FPS drop persists with only ACE? You have to strip everything out to see whats causing it. Even if MMA and ACE worked before its good to pin point wich combo creates the problem. Otherwise ACE team cant do anything. -

Yeah good find Mafia101. Sounds great! And the explanation should be official so those who do not understand that it takes tons, tons and tons of recordings to make it sound fluent in ALL situations that can happen in this game. It sounds better now according to BIS, but it will still have robotic-ish sentences here and there - that is unavoidable. :) Not fussed what so ever though, and i think OA just sounds better and better. Bring it on! -

They are not up to date so go to Rsync (SixUpdater) and choose "Process Userconfig" so you get them updated. I think thats how you do it still. Or you have them updated in your ARMA2/@ACE/Userconfig. Move them from there to ARMA2/Userconfig/ACE. Im using YAS atm and i get new userconfig replaced everytime i update. Dont know why yours didnt do that. But do what i said above - SixUpdater - chose Process Userconfig. Test it. -

Hmm weird about the laser des. I tested it right now and i have no trouble at all... Sure all is up to date? And CBA is loaded first in your modline? And is it in the editor or a mission? If mission then what mission? Always provide as much info you can. ;) About FPS drops in latest version. I havent noticed this problem either. Wonder if you guys do everything correct like having every part of ACE up to date and that you load the ACE addons in the correct order wich is CBA first then ACE, ACEX, ACEXSM. If you dont have it this way please test it and report back. If you do have it this way then another addon might be the "bad guy". In both cases: Laser Des and FPS drop. Only things i can think about right now. Hope you get it sorted. :) -

So its not the old clock? Wonder what it is then. Brand new system? Tonci didnt say that we might get Utes. He said an island "like" Utes. Meaning a smaller island as well as the main one. ;) But Afghanistan like Takistan is not just desert. It has big green zones. Only south of the new island is pure desert. The rest is various green areas with rich grass and bushes etc. But its said BIS put extra care in making the veggies easier on performance. Lets hope. EDIT: Cant wait... June come fast please! -

^^ Some reviewer even called it a new game and not en expansion due to all that Zipper mentioned. The reviewer felt it was a new game and thats a damn good marker of what BIS has done with this stand alone expan... game. -
Skip the 1.59 if you cant make the 1.6 til then. Having an almost finished Duala feels wrong, and i dont mean wrong that its not 1.6, but wrong that you should have to work extra for uploading it etc. If its not 1.6 by tomorrow please keep it and work in peace. :) Only my 2 cents tho. You do what you feel like. And thanks a lot for continuing on this beast island.

It wasnt the horizon in the OA screenshot though. It was far away mountains. -
Ai warping isnt due to bad performance is it? Thaught that was due to netcode not being the best. There is that other "warping" or limiting animations when units jump out of vehicles, but i read on DH that this might be solved in OA. MP warping is an immersion killer though, and i dont know if it can be fixed thanks to the massiveness of the game. When there isnt a lot of stuff going on it works pretty good, but most of the times sitting cargo of any vehicle that someone drives fast it always warps and it breaks the illusion of being there. Anyway. These things never made me stop playing the best game on the planet. With faults and all.

This cycling of gear does from time to time mock up. With time to time i mean different versions of ACE - i think. But i notice some version when cycling through AH6 weapons i have to press "F" like 10 times to cycle through the 3 modes (FFAR, low, high MG). Maybe its the same phenomenon.
