I don't think I would go for the supporter pack, so maybe I will be getting deluxe version.
-
Things we learn so far: 1. BI start another ARG 2. Jerry Hopper are somehow involved 3. Jerry is in fact a shipping tycoon(wait what?)
-
What BI is facing is pretty much what many small inde game studio(sometime even large engineering projects) facing really, logistic(having to deal with regional publishing + DRM requirements) and engineering problem(software development problems, Quality control, having hard time to keep things on deadlines, etc) comes at the same time with a sudden turns of event within the dev cycle when some key people are missing. Its is not pretty, but if it is what that takes to have a quality wise and function wise satisfied product within a reasonable time, I don't think BI should have anything (aside from steam haters pissing off/ragequiting/not buying) to not go for it. It is sad, but some time it have to be done.
-
There is a problem right now where people simply filled with rage and do not pay enought attention or even bother to look into EULA to find what is the real concern are and whats not.
-
Nah~I think the need one of THIS:p
-
I do agree that a lots of rage is a direct product from the pass few months of radio silence, and sometime it is just better to even release SOME bad news to fans to let them know what actual problem there is.
-
Not going to happen, like I said in the bad news, you are stuck with steam, so its either "OMFG!Ragequit" or just get over it. Given that I personally have experienced problems with DRM from numbers of different disturbers, while DRM free version is pretty much a joke if devs wanted everyone gets to play on the same day but not before, steam somehow seems a better offer for me, at less untill steam goes bankrupted or they decided to revoke my license.
-
Bad news is that you will have to stuck with steam and be on steam for at less once(given that you can run steam offline mode without problem some people experiencing), Good news is that they will still sell DVDs with steam cd keys.
-
Then again, no one ever said that you MUST use steam to release your mod, so unless someone actually said that, all is just hot air(for now)
-
Well, ever since they improve it I actually were able to log into offline mode with my cable pulled away, it even works after I done a full system reinstall, funny indeed.
-
At this stage of development? Don't think so, too many works have been pull on to it that changing any bit of it might seems to be excessive waste of resource.
-
I don't know which face should I put on, The "FFFFFFFfffffffffffffff.............." face Or the "Noooooooooooooooo!" face? Anyway, I think I will still call it Lemnos Limnos for the sakes of pissing off the greeks:devil:

An interview with ArmA3 devs with question from the editing community

Will weapon/ammo config change in anyway to enable more realistic weapon simulation without using any 3rd party scripts? -
HOOYAH for that.

Using two keys is about as direct as you can get when changing stance, why the hell do you need an extra key only for stand when all you need is to hit the same key to get back up/down? All the older games use this same control untill god knows what popular game reinvent the wheel with that 3 keys control. P.S. BTW BI sort of screw it up with TOH where you can no longer binding those keys to have the same control, shame, real shame.
-
With all the experience they have with TIR, I doubt that would be a huge prorblem on the head-tracking part, real problem is the video part through, but that is more about creating proper eye relief, proper display desertion for the google to work, as well as how to make sure that FPS won't sucks.
-
Well, I can use the keyboard "words" part and the number pad blindly pretty good under most conditions, number rows, however, is a lot harder

Watching a train wreck is such a fun, and actually reminds me the days with OFP:DR and its sequel, just even more entertaining(and in some way depressing) but that is another story. :p -
There is a reason why for the pass 30 years SAC have been a joke amount the industry. In fact it is SAC themself that are holding back the advancement of china air defense technology break through, china airforce have had enough of it and choose J-10 over J-11, and refused to pay for the development of J-31; YES, you heard that right, J-31 is in fact the first manufacturer self funded fighter project in china, SAC had sell their own assets to fund it, with their boss taking full responsibly if the porject fail to make any profits.

4 IN 1 replied to ProfTournesol's topic in OFFTOPIC - Games & Gaming
It seems to be more or less like EVE-ONLINE model where you sell PLEX(game time) for ISK. The difference is that in plex model the game time is paid by someone else -

Orbital mechanics is actually much easier to learn then you can think of, and visual aside, from the look of it atless there is basic newtonian physics, which is good enough. In which, the "space sim" in your word is quite different then what this thread are about, Orbiter(or to some extends, Kerbal space program) is what you should look for. FPDR -

The problem is big enough that, its actually starting to break the game, yet rather if it is top of the.list.of fixes or they want to "fix other pressing issue first" is out of our hands, it takes bi more then 10 years to not fix the convoy problem in RV, god know how long would it takes tofix this one. -
I am generally happy that I will be getting Civilization V for free as well, that 2 games for the price of one.
