  1. Hi, as unconventional carry system... i understand strapped on things, carry things attaced to leather belts, ropes and things like that; basically... non military standard carry systems. IMO if something like this get added, it should have a bigger hit on the stamina than a military system and should also carry less things/weight than a military equivalent/comparable thing. Try to carry 12Kg on a rope arround your shoulder just by 8Kg and then tell me how you feel and look at the marks on your body, try too to carry the same weight attached to a leather belt or leather belts in the same way and you'll see that the resoult is almost the same, and the next day you gonna feel even worst; that's one of the many reasons that kill the civilians that leave war zones, the exhaustment. And that's why the military uses the carrying methods that they use and keep working on new and improved ones. Such thing will be good for civilians and an alternative for the soldiers, to pick up usefull things along the way that don't have place above their combat gear; but is something to aboid in a begining. 2. Hi, i don't spect much changes on the kind of choppers of the A3, cargo, light & heavy... and attack choppers; that's all. I don't spect any revolutionary change on what they can do, i don't even spect a well done fast rope system... with good anims for the operatives that descend by the rope and much less to be able to shoot while descending; i would spect a slight improvement on the flight model and that's all. They better have female soldiers...

'Basic life fact...' if you don't pass the course, for the SFs... the Marines or whatever... you don't gonna get promoted to that rank/task/cathegory; no matter if you're male or female. It's common that they lower a bit the physical standards for the females on the basic tasks, the thing is that now they gonna be sent to 1St line as everyone else; as it should be. That's true equality, you're a soldier... so you fight; period. Let's C ya

    Improved and simplified Mission Editor?

Hi, something with the shape of that ArmA Tactics would be a good 3D editor IMO, if it had layers, so you can place units, groups and objects on top of objects/buildings and also inside, with a transparence on the above layers of the level where you're working on or placing things on. question about platecarrier

Hi, i guess that it gonna be as IRL or on the A2:OA, you can/have to carry your backup ammo on the backpack or have spare magazines or ammo belts and rockets on the vehicle of yours; is not common to carry RPGLs on vehicles such as Light Helicopters or Utility Helicopers, but on fat ones this use to be a more common practice. They better have female soldiers...

There could be some good reasons to not include 'em; BIS didn't though about add female combat units in a begining, so to include 'em now... they should hire a girl/woman to record her performing all the game's anims on mo-cap, wich could be expensive and sure that requires alot of time. Also, they should not only make female combat unit models and beta-test 'em, they should also record various female voices (to have more than one voice to choose from) saying all the game's orders... taunts.. screams, yelling, dialogs... wich is also another time consuming thing, more than expensive; so those are the only reasons that BIS could have to not include 'em in a begining on the game. Other reason... could be to bleed out money from you; making 'em a DLC with a mini-campaign, that you'll have to buy yes or yes... because everyone will buy it and would use 'em in MP aswell in SP missions, so after a while... BIS could add 'em as a DLC arging release time/schedule reasons.
  7. Hi, the CQB waypoints system that i was thinking on was the Rainbow Six Ravenshield one or the previous game, something like that. Let's C ya
  8. I had in mind the first Ghost Recons waypoints/plans system as the CQB orders/actions system for the AI, the overwatch... the 'scan this sector' but have as active fire sector 'this one' etc, i don't remember wich GR it was, maybe it was even some other game... but with those waypoints system and the right anims and behave... we could improve without doubt the AI indoors.
  9. Hi, this is almost Off Topic but... i think in 30 years, is very possible that the women take full part on the western armys as 1St line soldiers; i would like to see female units added into the game with all that implies. Let's C ya
  10. Evolve from a lone prey into a military commander = more of the same. I don't like to have more than four or five AIs under my command, much less things like CTI or crap like that, empty and thedious as pass the 7 Dande's hells one after another; the CTI appeared on the campaign (IMO) as a filler in absence of a solid history, wich is sad... an EVOlution like mission would (IMO) fit better as full commander mode, at least of infantry... after get some ranks, then you obtain a Fire Team three men at you command and access to the standard weapons of a Fire Team, (CCO & x4 sights, a couple of underbarrel GLs, flares and various nades; two more chevrons will give you access to another Fire Team and special weapons as DMRs, Javs and heavyer weapons, four more chevrons... and you could get a SFs Fire Team and access to SF weapons. An EVO style would be more dynamic than the CTI, but with an AI commander in charge of the whole thing by each side on the party; so if you go to a city, base or FOB, this AI will send support to the place after a short while, in the form of CAS, ARTI and Engineers (REPair/RECovery) aside of have MED-EVAC at your dispossal if you didn't loose the FOBs/FARPs that gave you access to this goods by the NME AI forces. In this way you could build a more solid history line than just put a damn heartless CTI as last mission/missions, and insert the history on this EVO like thing adding at your command some of the men/women that you'd meet previously during the previous missions. Anything would be better IMO, than more of the "you're drop as a lone wolf into a war and from the barracks you end up as four stars general". That crap suxxx.
  11. Hi, IMO the best, and who knows if the only... way of improve the AI on CQB will be to have two different waypoints systems, one for the open field (the common one) and another for indoors; all this combined with a good 3D editor, that allows us to put single units on rooms, corridors and balconies aswell as place single units but part of fire teams or even squads in guard/defending/sniping possitions inside buildings while the rest of the squad do the 1St line tasks. The common system of wapoints for outdoor, an UFO: Enemy Unknown/Ghost Recon 4 waypoints & orders/options for indoor. With MOUT options for it, so they'll act as a squad when enter or exit a house/building and if they're ordered to guard it... then they'll leave the grouped formation for a diamond like distribution by the house/building, placing those with scopes (read: marksmen) on the upper level (if available) keeping the ARs and MGs on the main level and if a grunt falls... the observer takes his/her possition. But anyways... this is not possible (the MOUT movement like) without well scaled buildings and a good collisions systems with "some aids..." as i.e: lower the weapon (if is a long one as an AR, an MG or a DMR) and placing the arms closer to the chest and the weapon closer to the face if it's a pistol or SMG, may be too much to ask if the man with the shotgun passes the stock above the shoulder to lean in the corners to look, and at the hip level if is leaning and moving; having the logical impact on the weapon sway when it's not rested on the shoulder... , in the long weapons case. The current way of work of the AI don't works indoors, period; 'lil improvements in the form of addons that the server could have or not or kick you out for have 'em or not... is not a solution, is another problem IMO. Two waypoints systems + 3D editor and layers + better anims In Real Time + well scaled indoor enviroments could work. As side note... a fire sector haves as default 37º, in combat; when you spect throuble, you use to check like 65º on the movement direction and from time to time you check from 120º to 180º just to check what's up on the place and where's everyone. When you're at ease... just walking and calling names to everyone above your grade and everything on the enviroment... you use to be checking between 60º to 120º at different ranges, usualy close & mid range but without loose the long range. This is something that the AI should do too just for improve their behaviour and drop for good their F Superman/Supergirl über awareness way of work, seeing throug solid objects, tall weed, fat bushes etc. Let's C ya
  12. My idea of how all those mini-campaigns could be, is take those roles as the backup units that you see arround on the main (grunt & SFs) campaigns, don't you ever asked yourself where do those other guys go to?, or those attack choppers?, or those vehicles that break up from the formation and take the intersection...? those could be the subjects of those mini-campaigns, the support, the aid or the reinforcements; if you only plan to play almost alone MP coops with your klan or a couple of fellas... then you may not want a strong/solid SP experience, but i would want it all. A very solid SP experience and a good MP experience, i belive that get booth is possible.
  13. - OFP CWC GUI Like. Something with class and clean but simple aswell.
  14. Hi, IMO the SP campaign will be to show the player all the stuff in the game, tanks, units, aircraft and weapons; what are my spectations?, my spectations are more of the same... Spec-Ops vs. The World. IMO they should divide the campaign into mini-campaigns, the main and longer one should be like 20 missions as grunt, and then have other ones divided in: - Special Forces (17 missions, 5 before the deployment begins). - HMMWV Driver/Gunner (12 missions). - APC/IFV Driver/Gunner/Commander (15 missions). - MBT Driver/Gunner/Commander (12 missions). - UH Pilot/Gunner (17 missions). - AH Pilot/Gunner (15 missions). - Plane Pilot (12 missions). To make the SP campaign an epic experience that everyone talks about, players and magazines; turning the game into something that everyone wants to try, as the dope. Let's C ya

    (not) Auto aim

Hi, IMO... the Auto-Aim aid should aim to the nearest known enemy for the player, after a while... sure that the player will want to select him/herself who to shoot 1St, if the Autorifleman, the Marksman or the T. Leader and would discover that most of the times is better to do it on your own than let anyone/anything to do it for you. Let's C ya
  17. Hi, the teleporting method is fine i guess for vehicles like the APCs, but not for vehicles like trucks, MBTs or fat choppers or hybrids like the MV-22B; the problem with the walkable vehicles is the space. If was almost impossible to walk side by side with another man by an apartments building corridor... how much a nightmare would be to do it on the cargo area of a truck...??, aside the scale of the space the solidity of the characters and their gear, without speak that they don't paste their weapon to the body as you would IRL to move by the same place. The soldiers body and backpacks clipp with each other and with the enviroment (seats and stuff) as if the clothes were made out of granite, maybe doign a kind of body made out of two layers, one (bone like) would be a physical limit that marks the point where you would begin to clipp/collide with objects and characters, and the other (external one) would be the margin that you'll have before that clipp/collide happens, booth layers will have to register hits but not the collisions so with this, plus a better scale of the places as corridors and cargo area of the vehicles plus "some more magic..." we could improve if don't fix this issue that substract inmersion from the game and looks and works bad. Conventional Combat Emphasis

Hi, one of the things that i'd like of the CWC was that i was outnumbered and we had to do more with less, scavenge weapons and ammo and that not every fight ended with a smashing victory by our side; sometimes i had the feeling that i'd failed the mission even completing the objectives. I didn't had that feeling with the ArmA or the A2, willing to see the next mission; they should review the history line on the SP/MP missions and campaign that BAS did on Nogova and Tonal. Let's C ya

  20. Hi, a big map with few enterable buildings would be better for the AI to maniouver, but the players would have to have an aircraft always ready to move by the map; ain't like the undetailed maps, they're boring and dead, there's few interaction with the enviroment, in the form of combat actions such as... cleaning houses, look for specific subjects, hiden weapons or explosives, drugs... money... even files or computer data. If we only have open field's combat then we'll have a basic and boring thing, boring because after a while... it'll become a repetitive thing making the players to loose interest. I preffer the detailed maps. Since the ArmA, i always have my view distance set at 3000, is enough for the infantry and cavalry combat, but is completly insuficent for any kind of air operation; with planes or choppers, no matter what. The AI use to have an advantage there because they see you much earlyer than you; but anyways... i preffer the ground combat and without a detailed enough enviroment the game will turn for me into the same thing, an addons viewer and would end be boring. 21. Hi, there's a right way of enter on a military vehicle and is the same one for get out of it, any other way of enter or exit is "the wrong way"; but if you don't get the men the chance of do it wrong... they never gonna appreciate why "the right way" is the good one. That's why i consider so important to enter in the right formation before board a chopper by the sides or the ramp, same with an APC with a single ramp on the back, one door or two doors, this 'lil thing change the thing... in the same way that is not the same to board a BTR-70 alike APC than board an M113 (ramp or single rear door) or board a BMP alike APC... that haves two rear doors instead, aside of the hatches on the roof; but on vehicles like buses, transport trucks or even on the deck of a ship... we should be able of walk on it to our seat or place, select: Sit Down and then have to Sit Up to walk or jogg for the exit and select Jump Off to get out of it, our load/gear should be what determinate how fast (what animation we gonna perform) to exit of the vehicle being an impediment for the others to enter/exit or not. The military have the annoying use of have you boarding and exiting all the vehicles at your disposal for hours, by days, just to ensure that until the last townfolk under their command have got pretty clear which is the good way and which others are not. On the military you follow the procedures, for go to the latrines too. Let's C ya
  22. Hi, i don't think that the VBS2 terrain tech be part of the ArmA3, but sure that the terrain will be improved along with the view distance; i would be more worryed about the AI interaction with the objects and buildings without forget things like roads, crossroads and highways. They gonna improve the terrain for sure but not up to the VBS2 level, IMO. Let's C ya
  23. Hi, for me will be great to be able to stan up and turn back over a knee on an open vehicle and be able of return the fire as passenger, or just to be able of stand up and run and jump off the vehicle for a better cover or to aboid a big threat; you can shoot from the passenger's seat on games like the BF3 or even the BC2 using your own ammo i still don't see why is so hard to do the same on the ArmA series, we mess about be fans of the most realistic FPS game out there but we still don't have things as basic as shoot from the passenger seat with our own weapons and ammo, this goes too for the rest of the anims, for the damage system on vehicles and personel and also on the world's destruction model. Our favourite games serie leaks of alot of basic features that other, maybe less serious... games have from years ago that only the devs can add for all the players; reduce the crazy and uncontrolable weapon sway is just one of 'em IMO, but there're many more that would need a serious review for the good of the games serie and for BIS too. Let's C ya
  24. Hi, i think that in 30 years the wars still gonna be done by men, the weapons gonna be the ones that we're seeing being approved rightnow and evolutions of this ones in the form of attachments and how the different weapons/operators coolaborate with each other to magnificate the capabilities of booth; are the fat things the ones that gonna change significantly on the future, tanks.. choppers.. planes.. how the arti and the sats work and that kind of things. The military personel like to have easy and reliable things on the hands. Let's C ya
