Another tip is to play on a server with some kind of addon required(Perhaps ACE 2 when it arrives), in my experience, this will weed out the game wreckers pretty good in public.

Its good to have the sound delay back, I just needed to comment on that. No longer can they dodge my sniper bullets :) -

Call of.. Juarez - bound in blood

I really liked it, and the cover system is the best I have ever seen. -
Usually the aiming point will be a bit under the bulletpath initially, then meets the bullet as the bullet falls. In this example, the dropping line is the path of the bullet and the horizontal line is the aiming point. In this case they meet at 200 yards.

Speaking of dual wielding: We want dual wields in Arrowhead BI :D

Just a question: Why no "class restrictions"?

So your beef is with mission makers, not the game :) -
Thats beautifully written Neil. For me, Arma 2 feels boring in vanilla, its definably a reset from all the things made for Armed Assault. But I think it will be swiftly forgotten once we have had 5-7 patches, and the addon makers has had time to do their thing. Thats when the golden age of Arma 2 will start :)

Beta patches should be more closed amongst a limited group of the best bug-reporters, That way the community wont be splitted either. Either way, thanks for the patches.

How closely do you think ArmA simulates real combat?
sparks50 replied to RBerry's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
Exact same topic in PR forums, made at approximately same time :p http://www.realitymod.com/forum/f10-pr-general-discussion/65730-how-close-real-combat-do-you-think-pr.html Same threadstarter? -
Hehe, well someone on the net spelled it just as wrong :D Ive asked a moderator to delete my replies now that you have corrected it.

Is Modeno the Mondeo model under another name? I googled it and could only come up with one website that had it. http://www.auto-motor-i-sport.pl/magazyn/galeria-powiekszenie_1879.html Good luck with your project.

Obviously there will also be a lot of Armed Assault models doing a comeback now that the Army is back, some of them perhaps in desert skins. -
Why doesn't BIS let us "betatest" his (its? XD) games?
sparks50 replied to otrebla_snake_ita's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
They do! :D -
Sadly, with the flight model/rudder precision of Arma, its not as effective as it could have been.

Hehe, yes perhaps. Seriously, its another bull anti-video game study paid by Thompson and hes likes. The study shows that you die earlier if your fat, eating unhealthy, having no social life, not being in activity etc. Hardly news. Its like saying that buying a car will make you more likely to become a billionaire, because I would guess that most billionaires owns one or more cars. Its a backwards logic.

I thought the FPS was the number of frames drawn by the video card(pr second) It surely shouldn't be that hard to measure accurately?

Just a question: Why no "class restrictions"?
sparks50 replied to Crni-Vuk's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
Scrub: theres nothing stopping people from trading weapons etc, hes talking about limitations on kits given. Much like the Project Reality mod. As mentioned above, its all up to the mission maker. I think Devastation-AAS v2 has a kit limiting system: http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=6205 Also, "hardcore" coops played by clans or tactical gamer public do sometimes have spawn-set kits and no weapons in the boxes. Also only pilots can fly etc. Public Domination is not the place too go for cooperation and realism(no offense mission maker). Sadly, its pretty much the only thing out there being played. -
ArmA II: Operation Arrowhead discussion thread

I dont have that impression from Germans I meet, they are as good Europeans as any. But there is definitely a culture for whining in the German part of the forum, and I suspect this also partly explains the doomsday reviews that some German outlets made at the first release VS the more moderate reviews by the rest of the world. Ontopic: I dont have much hope for any radical changes in the realism/features department, and unless the map turns out really awesome or there is some other good factor out there, I will not buy it. A new Island, a few new models and a good SP campaign is not enough for me. -
CM are saying them self that it will be less hardcore than the original. If it is the same genre or not depends on how you define the genres. The BI games are not perfect "simulators" in all its contents as we all know, so its a bit of a grey zone.

We agree Sanctuary, but this discussion originates from someone who dont:

Were not saying that the lack of lean is a good thing, but we are saying that "the lack of it will completely destroy any ties it had with OFP", is wrong. Because OFP didn't even have lean. And elite was more of a v0.5 Arma. Try calling a rock a rock. We all want lean in some form, theres no need to lie or come up with fanatical and ridiculous arguments on how the lack of it is like stabbing OFP in the back and making their OFP different from the original.
