Great game. There are few things that i dont like or will like to be different, but still great game.

It was our concept but not our name and concept was changed and developed over 5 years before release.

History of that name is not simple. We are not invented name, it was small US publisher Interactive Magic, who did it, bakrupted and sold project. Also it was our first project and we as small unknow developer must accepted what publishers offered. Things are not as simple as they can look.

I dont know size of Fallout world, but for example Oblivion that is based on same technology had 2.5*2.5 Km of real size terrain = mean 6.25Km^2, Arma2 have 225km^2, that is 36 times bigger!

When there is lot of web mags on internet for free, that depends fully on advertising, typical paper mags starting to have low sales due their free competitors. I expect, that in case, there will be not defined TI signature, we will use some default temperature from config for each class of objects. -
Arma2 is like a wine i take some time to mellow, in one or two years most of you will have core i7 or i9, there will be tons of mods and faster GC and it will show potential that is not visible now for first look.

What is shame, that most of you saying that game is bad, but still you bought or preordered game. In fact you say to publishers let do that again, again promise things that are not technically possible, lay and steal ideas, make renders and photoshoped sshots. If players ask why games look today as they look, its because that. Because lot of people are able to buy, preorder just because PR and previews at magazines that are dependend on advertising sales. Its sad, where game industry going :(

I think you dont understand basic priciple. If you have persistant world, you can solve problems in game by many ways (if you kill enemy in battle in village you will not force to him on road) in case you create enemy on flight, you close all that posibilites that are interesting on ofp concept. It could be atmospheric like film, but no space for tactics and creativity of player, you are pushed to be rat in labyrinth.

Problem of billboard based technology is that it does not alow any kind of interaction, we need to destroy trees by tanks for example. Not possible with billboards that always rotate to face to you without very strange artifacts. There are also other problems like not possible to cast real shadows or use direct lighting as volume is not represented by correct geometry shape. I will look on that problematic orange tree. -

There could be problem that less detailed lods could have bigger overal surface, i will measure it when will be in office. -

Ok, and now try to decrease resolution with same settinngs i expect linerar dependency on resolution (3D resolution - fillrate optimizer in erarly arma version) -

I expect that problem is overdraw, it mean CG is not able to draw so many pixel so fast. In that case LODs cant help (overal surface will be similar), what can help is simplified shaders or smaller resolution 3D ressolution. -

hello, i need for some new vegetation models, textures of pistacia bark, unfortunately we dont have this species in czech rep. (just as nuts in shops :) ) if somebody can make photos of that tree bark and leaves, it will really help me. If you can do it for me, pls contact me here. Thanks

Reviewer say on doupe forum, that when your mates are killed, same persons are automatically resurected in next mission, but there was nothing like some story in first three missions that he play.

First of all, we do games because we like to do them, in case we will buy some engine it mean we will just put content to technology that is not ours. But we like making technology. And just from my point of view, in that case, i will not be interested to make games this way any more and i belive it will be same for most of people in company. -
This really can help, if you can do photos of trunk from multiple sidedes from not so much strong and direct light, it will be awesome.

Pistacia vera or pistacia atlantica, need photos of trunk from mutiple sides to create cilindric tiling texture.

I dont think that it will afect ACE anyway, just if in future if they will made ACE 3.0 that will use some AH specific things, it will need AH instalation. But if they will make ACE for A2, it will work without any changes in AH. There is no problem with that.
