In all honesty I preferred the animations and movement in ARMA 2 At least it felt realistic. Ever tried aiming while running in real life?

Arma 3 & Soft body Physics (e.g. BeamNG); What do you think?

That video has absolutely NOTHING to do with Crysis 3 or it's physics engine. It is by the team who built rigs of rods and is now working on BeamNG. They simply used the Cryengine to render the graphics... nothing more. The physics themselves are their own work. FYI they have abandoned the Cryengine 3 as it was too restrictive and are now using the open source Torque3d rendering engine. http://www.beamng.com/content/ -
So,what is going to be the OPFOR equivalent to the F-35? [Suggestion!]
nesponge replied to Alistair's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
J-20 and J-31 which IMO is closer to the F-35, being designed for carrier ops -
feels like you are walking about on an ice rink... I absolutely hate it. If they could maybe bring it closer to ARMA2 without going the whole hog, perhaps they would please both camps?

You were kicked off the server , session lost.

same problem here... can't connect to any multiplayer servers :( -
I keep getting kicked when I try to join a server ever since installing patch 1.54. Some servers claim I am banned but most others just kick with no explanation. I have no idea what is going on... I have tried manually updating the battle eye client from their website but it has made no difference. Anyone else having this issue?

game definately runs smoother for me... I even bumped up shadows to maximum which would have been unthinkable before. Seems to be a lot less pop-up/re-draw as well everything feels smoother and looks better. Nice job BIS

graphics bugs with ATI 4800 series (4850/4870/4890)
nesponge replied to fjaekel's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
tried it on "Default" This does not stop the artifacting but does indeed make it less frequent and will sometimes correct itself temporarily. I will try the lower settings and see if that helps... many thanks -

it seems to be a memory problem of some kind... Interestingly ARMA 1 and 2 are the only games I have any problem with on my system... even if it turn out to be ATI's problem. -

another ATI user here (4870) with the same issue... Had to stop playing ARMA1 for the same reason going to try the fix now :) EDIT: nope... still got problems. I'm going to try downloading and installing the latest drivers (9.6) -
thanks for the reply... I think i'm going to try cat 8.8's as later drivers seem to be causing issues with this game... will post back with results.

I purchased the sprocketIDEA GOLD EDITION of armed assault and patched the game to the latest version. However when trying to run the game I can play some missions... others result in the game crashing to desktop momentarily before the system completely restarts. It also restarts if I exit the game. I am completely at a loss as to what is causing the problem... it is the first game I have had any kind of issue with on this system. Temps are all very low and even very demanding games like crysis run smoothly with no hiccups or crashes. It has been running stably for months. The system is NOT overclocked Here are my system specs. Intel 8400 core 2 Asus P45 Deluxe motherboard 4GB corsair ram (2X matching sticks in dual channel) ATI radeon 4870 512mb (using cats 8.11) Creative X-fi gamer 500w power supply Windows XP home 32 bit Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated... thanks I've just been searching and it seems other people have experienced issues like this as well. It seems to be an ATI issue... perhaps drivers or the firmware on the card itself?
