    Dynamic Afghanistan - DELTA FORCE

Mission Name:Dynamic Afgahnistan -DELTA FORCE + ADDON HEAVY Island:CatShit Afgahnistan Revisited by Ag_Smith Based on:Counter-Insurgency by Tacrod, CoIn AddonFree by Sanctuary, Dynamic Afghanistan 1.3 by Honcho Made by: Honcho (Dynamic Mission Alliance) Ofp Version:1.96 --------------------------------- Story:Delta Force in Afghanistan! --------------------------------- The land is in a state of constant chaos again since the withdrawal of the VDV. Russia couldnt keep them any longer in the country, since they had their own conflicts they had to attend to.And since the war that raged in this land couldnt be stopped by the Russian Airborne Troops, the VDV had to obey the commands of their supiriors. Even though they didnt want to leave this conflict, because many of them felt that they were about to gain control of the hearts and minds of the population. WarLords and their Warbands soon filled the power vacuum again, left by the retreating forces. Now it will be up to the DELTA FORCE to bring peace back to this country! They will try to succeed, where the well equiped VDV failed. The main responsibility lies in your hands, since you were designated the Combat CO for this mission. You have enough manpower, but it will be up to you to get all of your men through this alive! You have enough hardware to invade any country. Headquarters assigned you strong air support, A-10 Warthog flights throughout the day, giving fast air support, as well as AH-60L Direct Action Penetrator as CAS support. But you were warned not to risk any Collateral Damage, so you better think twice, before you order in such firepower. Your CO will provide you with all the needed intel. Your advanced communication and the unlimited air support will turn the tide in this conflict to our favor. But other wars have taught that a country can't be controlled through air superiority alone. In this hilly country it is better to rely on infantry tactics. The men you were assigned are capable of fullfilling any task that might arise, so you should be confident about the outcome of this conflict. ------------------------------------------------------- Mission comes in two flavors, one is addonheavy using alot of community content, the other one is reduced in addons, more fit for slower computers.  DMA Naval/Army modpack are recommeded playing these missions. ------------------------------------------------------- Flavor 1:DA: DELTA FORCE ------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------- Addons Needed for DA: Delta Force: ---------------------------------------- ----------------------- AG_SMITH Afghanistan Revisisted 1.2 ----------------------- MUNK-WHEREISMYRABBIT?-JJR Generic Middle East Rebels 1.21 ----------------------- LT. Heals wounded and rearms squad, and if you rest back at base it fills squad back up and resuplies vehicles, once the radio operator is lost, use the rest at base option to get a new radio operator assigned. "Detach Team 1" Leaves Team 1 back at base, can be called back into the squad with radio code "Rally Troops". "Detach Team 2" Leaves Team 2 back at base, can be called back into the squad with radio code "Rally Troops". "Detach Team 3" Leaves Team 3 back at base, can be called back into the squad with radio code "Rally Troops". "Rally Troops" (if you use the detach option in base the troops will wait there untill you rally them again) "Rearm Squad" to quickly rearm your squad with one mouseclick. ------------------------------- At the Map Table: "Mission" Report to your CO before and after a mission. Before to get assigned a mission, and after to confirm your mission success. After a mission is assigned to you by the CO check the map for the location of the next encounter. "Abort Mission" abort the current objective, but you get a small popularity drop. ------------------------------- At the Video table: Choose between "BASIC and ADVANCED", ADVANCED modus adds action menu options "Detach Troop 1-3". ------------------------------- At the Armoury: Pick your weapon loadout at the ammo crates in the armoury. Designate your squad with any weapon, he will keep his main weapon, untill you assign a new one. Weapon crates are refilled with the rest function. ------------------------------- Radio Codes: Use the Radio Code "Para" to get Inserted to the place where you click on the map by parachute. You can alter your flightpath by picking the radio code again, but once the heli is going in for the drop, it is no longer possible, a message to the left top will signal this. Use the Radio Code "Insertion" to get Inserted by fast rappel to the place where you click on the map. You can alter your flightpath by picking the radio code again, but once the heli is going in for the drop, it is no longer possible, a message to the left top will signal this. Use the Radio Code "Extraction" to get extracted back to base, no click necessary, but the chopper starts at home base, so it will need the same time to get to you as the insertion flight needed to get there! You will be informed about the distance of the extrac heli to the bottom left, Ectrac heli can be redirected inflight, just give the radio code again, the Extrac will head for the new designated target. Use the Radio Code "MedEvac" to extract your wounded and dead (Leaving Friendlies behind will lower your popularity) by clicking on the map. Pick a spot right ontop of you, but be aware, the chopper starts at home base, so it will need the same time to get to you as the insertion flight needed to get there.  You will be informed about the distance of the medevac heli to the bottom left. Use the Radio Code "SMOKE" to get a smoke fire mission, once targeted the smoke will come in for a couple of rounds, droping on the targetarea, blocking the ais sight, jam2 aisight obscuring objects used with the smoke fire mission. Use the Radio Code "Flare" to get a flare fire mission, once targeted the flares will come in for 1 minute droping on the targetarea Use the Radio Code "ARTI" to get a artillery fire mission, once targeted the Rounds will come in. A message to the upper left reports when the firemission is complete. Use the Radio Code "CAS" to order in close air support, a Blackhawk Direct Action Penetrator will start at airbase and procceed to the designated target area, CAS can be redirected inflight. Use the Radio Code "CLUSTER STRIKE" to order in a A10-LGB attack with a cluster bomb strike mission. Use the Radio Code "LGB STRIKE" to order in a A10-LGB attack with a double precission bomb strike mission. ------------------------------- radio codes for the radio operator, once you lose your radio operator you wont have these functions anymore the functions are: 1. Call HQ: get update on mission status, and report in successfull or failed mission, get new assignments (rest in field, but new troops only available once rest at base) 2. Call Insertion: Call a insertion helicopter, the helicopter will take you from the field to new directions, can be redirected inflight 3. Call Para: Call a insertion helicopter for paradrop, will take you from the field to new directions, can be redirected inflight ------------------------------- Vehicles at base: If you dont want to be inserted by heli, use a vehicel from the base instead (You will be resuplied with new vehicles with every rest) Only the 3 HMVVs, 3 M2A2s, 3 Littlebirds, 2 A10-LGB, 2 Blackhawks, and the Helis for Insertion, Extraction and Medevac are unlimited. ------------------------------- Be carefull with the weapon of your choice, in populated cities it is better to look before you shoot, specially using nades in close combat, or doing bombing runs with a A10-LGB. All missions can be solved by heli insertion, the base weapons are supposed to give the possibility of an versital advance, as is the possibility to change the squads weapon loadout. The heavy weapons are supposed to be implemented into further battle modules. ---------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------- Bugs: ---------------------------------------- No intro movie, (but win and lose outro) but mission plays like a movie so it shouldnt be missed. Lag can occur during spawning of big quantities of opfor and civilians. Sometimes the insertion helicopter gets stuck (to avoid it try not to use time acceleration during liftoff), once stuck reasign a new insertion spot that isnt as far away, sometimes waiting till the computer has layed a path does the job too. ---------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------- Playtips: ---------------------------------------- The mission was programmed on a P4/HT 3.0gHz, and tested with a view distance of 2100 meters with normal terrain, adjust your ingame options according to your pc. Setviewdistance according to your system, no restriction are given through the mission. (Fog is bound to bad weather and Sandstorms) If you use DXDLL (who dont?) deactivate reflections by pressing command-i ingame, or with the configurator. (will save cpu power, and there is no water in the map) If you use pbo´s very often its a good idea to depbo them, and back pbo them uncompressed, this will shorten the loading times of Operation Flashpoint and missions. (Tip thanks to Sanctuary) Consult Dynamic Afghansitan 1.3 Readme, Coin Readme, and the Dynamic War Readme,  for further information on how to play this game, available in the zip. ---------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------- Copyright: ---------------------------------------- This campaign belongs to Dynamic Mission Alliance and it's freeware. Dynamic Afghanistan

Mission Name:Dynamic Afghanistan Island:CatShit Afgahnistan Revisited by Ag_Smith Based on:Counter-Insurgency by TacrodDMA, CoIn AddonFree Alpha Version 0.7 by SanctuaryDMA Made by: HonchoDMA Ofp Version:1.96 ------------------------------------------------- Story:One Mission Afghanistan Campaign! ------------------------------------------------- The whole country is at war again. The land is in a state of constant chaos since the withdrawal of the Coalition Forces. WarLords and their Warbands soon filled the power vacuum, left by the retreating forces. Evil rules the land again, and the civilian population lives in constant fear for their lives. The world can't look away any longer, its time to act again. Main Goal is the avoidance of any Collateral Damage, as the people wont forget suppression.  So better look twice who you shoot at, killing unarmed civilians will drive the people to the terrorists cause.  And keep your squad alive! You are send there after the principle "One Conflict-One Squad!" But your advanced communication and the almost unlimited air support will help to turn the tide in this conflict to your favor. But wars have thaught that a country cant be controlled only through air superiority. In this big hilly country it is better to rely on fast heli insertions and infantry tactics. ---------------------------------------- Dynamic Afghanistan Version 1.1 ---------------------------------------- The conflict further arises as both parties got new upgrades, to drive each other out of the country! Through black market connection to pakistan the afghan rebels were able to get 1. class russian weapons, and south african mercinaries were secretly hired to further train the rebels, the result made them an at least equal foe in this conflict. The seemingly easy objective got an unsuspected turn for the sons of mother russia! But being elite airborne troops the VDV soon adapted new technics to conter the threat! Because of the strong AA capabilities of the rebels, they were in need of a faster insertion method, providing more security for the pilots, as well as for the inserted troops. Jurin Putin, a young eager M17 pilot was the one to come up with the idea, which is now known as the "Putin-Maneuver" or "PUMA" in short.  The insertion heli pulls up short before the target area, while the troops paradrop, disembarcing in a high frequency, this fast maneuver drasticly raised the surviveability of the pilots, who where sitting ducks with the former insertion mehod. The normal heli insertion is still used by the troops, even though any insertion would be a paradrop, if it was up to the pilots. The use of CAS (Close Air Support) has long been discussed in moscow, and now finally approved, but under the explicit order only to use it once the target area is cleared of any AA capabilities. So with this strong reeinforcements to both sides the conflict is more open then ever bevore. ------------------------------------------------- Dynamic Afghanistan Version 1.2 ------------------------------------------------- As the conflict further continues moscow is starting to get daughts on the length of the conflict. What was planned as a swift intrusion is heading more to a full scale war, as more and more moslemic fundamentalist pour into the country to support the terrorists cause.  Even first rumors occured, that tanks have been sighted in the hands of the terrorist. As a reaction on those unconfirmed messages it is decided to move in heavy artillery to aid the vdv with their objective. Approved where 1 battalion of self-propelled 152mm howitzers.  Through the need of night insertions of the VDV these arms have also been supplied with flare fire missions, as of high explosive rounds and smoke rounds. These weapons bear fearsome firepower, and should not be ordered in lightly. A missplaced strike could mean the loss of all support for the VDV. The Manpower is also raised on the VDV side, allowing reinforcements on a daily basis. Another addition to VDV strength is the use of the manuverable KA-50 Hokum instead of Hind for CAS. This decission was based on the higher flexibility and manuverability of the new bird, that better suits the hilly terrain of afghanistan. As both parties strengthen their positon, the conflict seems to go to towards a full scale war. ------------------------------------------------- Dynamic Afghanistan Version 1.3 ------------------------------------------------- The seemingly small conflict turned to a full scale war. The VDV claim to the grounds they have taken, but cant control the farther areas of the land.  The vehicle supply of the terrorists seems endless, as they bring new T-55s and Technicals to every conflict zone. Unsecure of what might bring this conflict to an end, Moscow ordered in in other squadron of SU-25 planes.  These planes are able to deliver either a devastating cluster strike, or a precission LGB strike, and are ordered to patrol the Afghan airspace continuesly, allowing the VDV fast precission attacks.  In this open warfare both sides use any means neccessary to drive the other party out of the county! ---------------------------------------- Version 1.1 is out! check page 2 for features or get it here Link Thx to Munk ---------------------------------------- and congratulations to Munk for being the 1. DMA TOYOTA WARS

Pics thanks to Parvus DMA is proud to present a Palm-Mania Production: Toyota Wars Mod This mod features the units from the Libyan/Chad conflict, which has become known as the Toyota Wars.  In 1986 responding to Libyan-sponsored terrorist operations the French and the USA supplied the government of Chad with equipment and weapons, as well as supporting a rebellion of pro-Libyan forces in the north of the country, and by autumn 1986 most of the cental Chad - including the airfields at Aouzou, Bardai, Zouar and Yebbi Bou - was again under the control of N’Djamena. On 11 November, however, the Libyans, deploying 10.000 troops, started a counteroffensive, and within weeks captured most of the northern Chad back, destroying several larger units of the opposition and forcing their remnants to retreat into the Tibesti mountains. By this time, however, also the Chadian Army - lead by the President Hissene Habré - now equipped with a large number of Toyota and Rover 4x4 vechilles - on which such weapons like Milan ATGWs and flaks were mounted - was ready for an offensive towards north, and in late December several columns drowe into the northern Chad. Their first clash with Libyan forces followed on 2 January 1987, near Fada: during a short battle, a whole Libyan armored brigade was decimated: 784 Libyan troops were killed, 92 T-55 MBTs and 33 BMP-1 AFVs were destroyed, while 13 T-55s and 18 BMP-1s were captured and 81 Libyans were taken POW. All of this in exchange for 18 dead Chadian troops and three destroyed Toyota trucks! The Toyota Wars mod features the units that fought that war. The DMA Toyota Technicals introduce the "Stand on Vehicle" feature to OFP: The unarmed version of the Toyotas have the optional function to carry troops in the back, with full function of the troops fighting abilities.  This is still in an experimental phase, but works already with several flaws.  There are two editor examples included on how to call the ability for player (addonuseraction based) and for the AI (inmission script based). Main flaws of the included scritps are the limited ability to adjust aim sideways, and the lacking possebility in OFP, to get and to set a pitch of an object (Dschulles Getpichbank is too scriptheavy as to be implemented in this script, the time the script needs to perform causes the vehicle ride to stutter). Load and preview the introductions in the editor, to get to know the islands features. ========================================================= VIII. looking for team players

I am hosting a small server for a friend of mine and me (8 player max). Only COOP missions from the community and I am happy when people drop by for some teamwork action. Randomly weekdays and weekend from 20h to late hours CET on a server called KATER. I am also applying JW Customs Rule Nr.1 regarding restarts. ;)

    Avgani and Afghan Village

The Afghan Village map is really a great map, it has a very natural feeling to it and is great fun to play/fight on. Â Along with Avgani I consider it the best maps made for ARMA yet. Â
  7. Thank you ACE-team for a complete new feeling to ARMA. Â This is an awesome piece of work, well worth the name. Â

Mapfact releases DAC 2.0 for ArmA

Thank you  for this early christmas present, combined with the 1.09 patch this will make some interesting holidays.  I will need the time to work myself into the endless possibilities this will provide me with. I can only try to imagine how much work you must have invested into this, Silola.  So thanks again to you and all that where involved in the making.

    SJB Weapons Pack

The Mercs look very good, looking forward to them. Â I am also delighted that you will be using the default "osobnost" heads, since it will make them more universal useable. Â

    ArmA photography - Questions&Comments

Opteryx your update on the Sakarah map looks fabulous, looking forward to play on it. Â Good to see that you finally got your hands on QG. The new added vegetation looks very good and the new building block layouts looks very realistic. Â And judging by the pictures it seems you also reworked road systems and intersections, good job on that too.Â

    Lowplants v1.1

Thanks alot for this usefull addon, it offers much better framerates at a very low cost (almost no difference from the looks). Kegetys is truly a trademark you can rely on for excellent enhancements, very nice to see you are still active in ARMA. Â

    Virtual TrainingSpace 2

Thanks alot, I already had alot of fun with the first version, but with the new features this will be even better. Â

Hi Silola Good to hear that your DAC conversion to ARMA is almost done. Â I really loved you DAC for OFP, and I will like DAC2 even better. Looking forward to build my personal wars with all the gadgets you are offering in your next version. Â The pictures on the Mapfact site look excellent, and its good to see that it will be well documented again. Â

    Sakakah Al Jawf OPEN BETA

I have to disagree with the people that want the city to be filled with alot of objects fixing it to a certain scenario. Â From a mission maker standpoint it is always better to have an open theme to work with. This includes the placing of wrecked cars, and even more so with the placing of IEDs. Â This kind of detail really should be up to the mission maker. Â Just imagine driving by the same IED in every mission made for the map. To keep a map open to any kind of mission it is better to stick to architectual and vegetation objects. Â I would even watch with the amount of garbage and liter (objects) you place. Â Rather fill the open spaces with small walls, and large wall structures surrounding special places like TV station and mosques. Regarding the placement of Queens Gambit object, I can only strongly hope that you will use them. Â I think so for two reasons: Â first of all they fit your map wonderfull (cant wait to climb the large minarett tower for some overwatch, as well as a raid on the TV station and the light grass from Porto map looks exactly like the desert grass shown on one of the example fotos from the region). Â And second the QG objects have alot of buildings which roofs are accessable through ladders or stairs which will make fighting in the city even more interesting. Anyway, whichever way this map goes, I guess I will love it anyway, so best of luck with it.

    Sakakah Al Jawf

Looks very good, I have been looking forward to a big city project for ARMA, as well as a middle eastern themed map. Â You offer both in a map, making it even more interesting. It already has the VBS terrain pack feel to it due to the size. Â Looking foward to further progress.

    AimPoint Desert Weapons 1.3

Hey Aimpoint Thank you for the quick fix making your fine weapons config compatible to CSM. Love them, they go so fine with the desert stuff, looking forward to the first afghanistan or middle east maps to put them in the right context.

    TrueMods - 2nd Release

I was happy getting some new loadings screens with QG, but I like yours even better. Â Your mod gives ARMA a fresh fell to it, its an excellent enhancement for the ARMA experience. Â Combined with your true ai range it gets even better. Â Thanks alot for this. Â Hope this will become a default on player vs player server, less run + gun and more skill + tactics.

    AimPoint Desert Weapons 1.3

Just one last info about the problem I had above, it was Chammy sound mod that conflicted with the M4A1 M203 ACOG. It somehow blocked the grenades being assigned to the weapon, aswell as blocking the use of the GL. Without Chammy sound mod everthing works fine. Thanks again

    AimPoint Desert Weapons 1.3

Strange, I only use the latest AMP_DesWpsReplaceAll.pbo But I use the config with a couple of desert replacement configs for soldiers and vehicles, none of them alter weapons though. Will make a standalone test with your config, and report back. Edit: My bad, I should have tested it standalone before reporting, but since the Acog problem was fixed with the latest version I thought that I didnt have any conflicting configs or addons using this config. All works as suppossed, thanks for your effort. Â

    Has Anyone Got Queens Gambit?

I third that Queens Gambit sucked me back into playing ARMA, the missions are catching and at the right difficulty. Â I am back to the old bring-em-all-out-alive playing style, which I didnt care for in the original ARMA campaign. Â The size of Porto is just right to be using it for very good MP conflicts either coop or vs. Â And using the new objects we should be able to create very interesting middle eastern themed maps/islands. The Spec Ops mission is the only downside, but once modded to the critics above maybe it will turn out more attracting. All points measured I am quite content, looking forward to 1.09 now.
