  1. I was wondering if there was a market to commission a scenario to be created. What I had in mind was a small helicopter game mode. Description in brief to gauge scale/scope: Single player scenario. Start as a pilot at airport with helicopter. Get a grid coord of a squad that needs pick up Squad pops smoke when you get close. They get in when you land They give you a new coord to drop them off. They get out when you land. new mission comes in. Game keeps track of successful mission count and average speed for run. Game goes forever/until you crash

    My vision of perfect Arma 4

    I want the same era but with a desert storm theme. I was thinking about this yesterday. I don't know if I would want VR for anything but vehicles but I really want it for vehicles. I think most headsets have a sensor that looks to see if you a wearing it. I want to just put it on when I enter the cockpit (like putting on a flight helmet or something) and have it switch to VR mode.
  3. Oh, if by SP you mean the scenario creator, I can't see that going away anytime soon. What would make you think it would?
  4. Yeah, its true and I was hoping for an imersive player controller with a new engine. Maybe its just what BI knows, maybe its some sort of limitation of the engine and inherent to all large scale games If the infantry combat felt like Squad or Tarkov it would make the new gen ARMA games amazing.

    Good post. I agree with all of this and look forward to seeing helicopters evolve in Reforger.
  6. There is still the live mission editor and a simple dynamically generated coop mission you can play. I have also seen lots of cool coop missions with modded content so that is still an option. If you mean a traditional single player campaign made by the devs with voice acting and stuff, I wouldnt be surprised if we didnt get that considering the reduced price tag/scope of the game. Bro, its a game that can have over a hundred players and dozens of AI at any given moment. There is nothing simple about the networking task they are taking on. There is a reason a lot of multiplayer games don't try to fuck with the scale ARMA has. It's incredibly hard to do and I for one am glad someone is trying.

    Trenches in Arma Reforger

    That would be fun but I worry that engine couldn't handle that. Terrain isn't deformable since this isn't a voxel engine. There could be premade trench segments that could snap together. They would essentially create a depression in the ground by hiding the land scape and making a hole in the collision map and then the bottom of the trench becomes the new ground but not every engine likes doing that.
