Thank you for your well written and eloquently put response. Perhaps I haven’t read ALL the threads, maybe I’ve read them all or possibly even none! Regardless, these are my personal suggestions, some of which may have similarly been shared by others. Ok, so the devs are saying NO to animals at this time, but changes do occur, and if there is a strong enough interest, why wouldn’t they want to consider appealing to the players? Henry Ford said you can have a car any colour you like, as long as it’s black! It was his only option because it enabled the quickest production. Nowadays you can have any colour of the rainbow, why? Because the customers wanted it! Why don’t I download a hunting/fishing/pubg? I’m enjoying the all encompassing aspects that Vigor continues to offer, and hope to see it expand in its main arena, offering realism and satisfying challenges and rewards. Would I enjoy hunting animals for sport, no! Would I kill one if it meant survival, yes. Likewise, there is a boat at the shelter and bay to fish in, so why not relax in the local vicinity and make it worth while? Vehicles are scattered about the maps, why does it seem implausible to want to use them? I’m not wanting to build a Mad Max ensemble and crew a turret to go on a rampage, merely travel from point a to point b a bit quicker than on foot! If a train was available to use in the station map, I would want to try and use it. That doesn’t mean I’m going to download train simulator for kicks! Pubg? Never played it. Seriously. But I gather it is none to dissimilar to Fortnite? Either way, I’m not a fan of them, nor the sawmill and islands options within Vigor. I play the game for the survival and progress challenges, not to run around guns blazing endlessly and feel that is worthy of progression. Sorry, it’s just not my bag. As I mentioned in my original post, these are just my personal thoughts. If they add to other similar views and helps sway the balance In favour of a change being implemented, great. If it gets cast aside and never sees the light of day, so be it. I’m not wanting Vigor to become a pseudo copy of anything, but at the same time, what is it offering that is original? Simply combining the better aspects of the game genres I enjoy playing would continue to make me happy and have me coming back for more. Start introducing zombies or 10 barrel, laser firing shotguns whilst having the ability to carry a 3 person hover bike in your bottomless backpack and I’m gone. Hope that answers your question? I look forward to seeing you in the outlands.

DaddyBaz369 started following Additions to consider?
-
Hi, Firstly, I’m loving how the game is developing overall, and look forward to each update that improves gameplay and the environment. The following are a few of my personal thoughts, some of which are already shared by others, on possible additions I’d like to see within the world of Vigor: Dressing for the occasion; If map selection is no longer available, the ability to change clothing and equipment selection during the encounter lobby to suit the game would be preferred. Why dress in bright red tracksuit to then go to a blizzard in Dverg Forrest, or a Winter Hunters smock to visit a sunny Grontheim Valley? Add a Ghillie suit to the wardrobe too, crafted from local flora and fauna! Wildlife; an additional threat to ‘campers’ and ‘teamers’ but also a source of food and reward (animal hide or head trophy for the shelter)? Native Dogs, Arctic fox, Musk ox, reindeer, wolves, Brown bears, eagles, seals? Times of day: Norway experiences some amazing displays of the Northern Lights, so why not have an encounter to view them? Additional equipment could include flashlights and glow sticks, Signal Flares (Fired and loiter on a parachute to illuminate an area) but not Night Vision Goggles. Spotting a wolfs eyes in your torchlight could be a chilling experience!! Vehicles: there are plenty of abandoned cars and trucks, why not Hotwire one (Or find a bunch of keys in a nearby building?) to get across the map quicker. Fuel could be limited, add more to go further. Keys get instant activation, or take longer to Hotwire with wire\nails etc? Shelter interaction: I would love to take my boat out on the water to a) catch some fish and b) row to the oil rig! I would also love to play the arcade game!! Vigor Playlist: share the Vigor Score/soundtrack on Apple Music, Spotify etc so I can listen to Vigor mood music when not playing. That’s all for now. I’ll await your feedback before I add more comments/suggestions. Keep up the great work. Best regards DaddyBaz
