    I've got a feeling its a key binding issue with CBA. We use CUP, plus terrains etc. If I load a separate Mag repack mod, then all my other key bindings stop working, but the repack works. I'm also unsure of what command menu is used for the Mag repack, as I've always used the default L/CTRL +R. I might have to unload the mods in launcher and then test with each one to see if there is a conflict. As its one of the most important features with Escaping on some maps.

    Hi, We havent been able to get Mag Repack working for a long time. I think since using the Beta mission files. Is this a change in the Config and can I use CBA Config settings to override this setting if it is?

    I agree Neo. Adds to the challenge. Though, sometimes you need to make sure you allow enough time to go to Bed as well 🙂 With regards to CUP Terrains, are the following supported for Escape? I don't see selectable missions files in the game lobby. Below are just some examples Missions we can't play or see: Rahmadi Desert Shapur Proving Grounds Takistan Mountains Missions we can play from CUP Terrains: United Sahrani Porto Utes Chernarus Chernarus Summer Takistan Zargabad We can play other ported missions and terrains, especially those by Icebreaker and Scruffy.

    We had two helicopters crash at a LZ once. For some reason, they decided to try land on trees. The LZ showed up as a cross after that, We moved onto another Comms bases and called another Heli. By the time we got to that one and escaped we had been on the same missions for just over 5 hours. Between the pair of us, over 200 kills and heaps of Vehicles taken out. The same happened to us last week. As suggested, we missed a few spots we should have cleared and our Heli's were hit, one flew into a building and other other crashed. We moved to another Comms and called another LZ and made it, that one was just under 3 hours. There has been a lot of times, where Heli's at a LZ can be damaged, it's why its important one of you is an Engineer, so you can repair it, the pilots will jump back in again if its repaired and most times you will escape. Nearly every time, Arch Angel will crash. As it tries to give air support it also attracts Stinger or HMG fire. We always try and carry a Stinger, as most times a Gunship will be called on you, after you activate an LZ. One of us is an Engineer and the other a Medic, as they seem the only classes that differ and have extra abilities. The other player will always carry a Rocket launcher, either a M136, MAAWS or NLAW

    Hi, I believe we have escaped twice. Did have any issue. Did they get shot down? That has happened to us before. Our Heli's were all shot down on approach. We make sure to clear any close points like commands posts or Ammo bases that are near the EVAC area. Only issue I've had and not on all maps, was making you threw your smoke over the marker, if you throw it too short it wont activate.

    Is there any setup procedures to getting GM to work on a dedicated Server? I've loaded all of the files over to the server, but the server fails to load the addons for GM. I'm able to run in on my machine as a Internet game via Arma - but not on dedicated.

    After 6 years of playing this mod now and countless escapes, we looked at new maps last night - We chose the Mull of Kintyre. Wow, what a great map. For the two of us, having a good line of sight helps, especially with on coming Heavy vehicles or Heli. The FPS of the map was good, even at night and the mission files worked very well. It seemed at some point, we did get some weird noises or random spawns close to us, but we have a good approach on areas now, after years of tackling this situation. Our first attempt only last an hour, didn't get far - Maybe 1 k from the Command post. Our second attempt was over 4 hours and we got within 100m of a Command post. Given the size of the land, the vast open areas and settings we had, we had to bunker in, resupply and move on when possible to avoid Heli drops, Heavy Vehicle and Convoys of troops. We took out nearly 200 AI, including multiple tanks, MRAP and 2 Gunships - but it was the 3rd Gunship that got us, as we were pinned down from both sides in the main town and couldn't get cover - the only building we need to get in to get cover, was one that would allow us 😞. At one stage, we disabled a Gunship, repaired it and was only requiring some fuel to get it going, only for us to take out a Reaper and have it crash into the Gunship - such bad luck. We were SW at the time and the Heli would have been good to get us to a suitable location again. Over all, we walked over 14k going via two Ammo dumps and Command post. Well done Ice, this Map works very well with the Escape missions.

    We played last night without the older sounds mods loaded and instead ran with the JSRS mods - and his additional CUP sound mods. Everything worked again. Though the JSRS mods seems to over do it a bit with some of the effects and under do it on others - especially vehicles. It looks like CUP has been rolling out a few more patches over the past two weeks and its all seems to be flowing well. One thing we did notice last night, was everytime we spawned inside the Prison and collected our weapons, the AI outside seemed to kill each other. We would hear a lot of gun shots, but would only find the AI guarding the prison dead and a lot of their ammo used in the process. But its a small issue on such an awesome mod that we enjoy so much. Did our 4th escape on Utes, which can always be a challenge with 2 players and lots of heavy vehicles.

    Ok, I will check it out today. I have a few things I need to look over. Commandline. I know this is correct, I even load it in the same order as the folders are located in the server. The only special character I use and have been for years is the Underscore. ie. CUP_WEAPONS or CUP_TERRAINS_MAPS. I normally copy the name from the server folder and paste it into the commandline. When I mentioned Cup weapons, I should have stated more detail. Meaning the Cup weapons mod is fine, yet the other sound mods we are running is conflicting with it and its interaction with the base files. Given we can run the game without CUP and still with soundmods on a Vanilla setup and it the issue is resolved. But I understand now after your feedback. JSRS seem to have more frequent updates, especially after the latest CUP version. I'm sure he has updated since 1.16.1. I only noticed his comment on working with CUP dev team and seen his name listed as a contributor. He now has specific Sounds mods for CUP Weapons and Vehicles. I haven't removed the sound mod or remove the sound mod from the commandline on the server, so I assume, even if we dont load it client side, the mod can still affect the server side if its loading.

    We played with Vanilla settings and it was ok, then we played with our sounds mods and it worked as well. Seems to be an issue with CUP Weapons. We run Dynasound and Enhanced Soundscape, I believe the issue is here, that these mods are not working with the new CUP weapons and these mods have not been updated to suit. So we are going to go back to JSRS Sound and try his mods - especially given he works with the Cup team to assist in these matters. We tried playing CUP without the mods, but it made no difference, but then I realised we were only doing this client side and the server was still loading them. So I'll experiment with that.     Here is a strange issue that someone here with experience may be able to help with. We have been playing these missions for over 5 years now and all of a sudden, we can't hear each other's gun shots in game. We can hear others (AI) and we can hear each others bullets hit items, but not the gun sounds. Have tried unloading mods, changing mod order in Launcher, Turning off ACRE, still no luck. I think it also has the same issue in Vanilla as well. I've heard deleting the Arma Cache in the local folder can resolve it. Seemed to come in on the latest CUP version, being 1.16.0, but wasn't resolved when the 1.16.1 patches came out either. Even ACRE has updated and still no change. Though I haven't deleted and reloaded ACRE as such on the server. Can provide heaps more info, but hoping to try any ideas you may have.

    A massive thank you to all those involved, and an extra special thanks for Neo and Scruffy. Always look forward to these updates and extended pleasure of playing them. We loaded the mission files to our server last Tuesday and initially had a lot of issues getting away from the prison. Getting used to having crew manned on the Helicopter at the start took a little a bit of adjustment and planning. Though the maps we tried first were difficult. You can definitely see a better response in performance on a server, FPS was clean and minimal drop out at night in large towns. The flags at the objectives was good. The AI vehicles - especially Armoured - Seem to track your last know location and not always knowing where you seem to be. Though I had noticed some of the Enemy was able to shot you at random spots within buildings, though ARMA has always shown issues here. The update also meant we seen the full effects of the latest CUP updates, Nice weapons and new vehicles. We tried Winter Cherno, Malden, Everon and a few others and didnt have much luck. We ended up on UTES and had one of the best games in a while. I can confirm, the EVAC helicopters had no issues landing on the beach and we finished off with another successful mission. Tonight we have another session. I've been playing these missions for 5 years now and have over 3500 pictures of these missions. Thanks again, I still owe you a coffee 🙂

    Well, we have just about escaped all of the Maps listed now, with just the two of us. Some have been a huge challenge. Porto, Zargabad, Takistan and Utes. Its either large open plan areas that are difficult, or the smaller maps. We have ranged from over 5 hours to just under 55 mins to escape. The 5 hour mission, we have an extraction around the 2 hour mark and both Heli's hit tree's, so we continued onto another command post and Evac. Mind you, we have been planing Escape for 5 or 6 years now - two times a week. Is there a date we can expect another Dev update? We mainly run CUP, so still looking forward to seeing the updates from CUP, come into play in Escape.

    Last night we tried Escape Contact - CSAT and NATO for the first time. We had escaped Livonia before, but thought it would be best to try with the Contact vehicles, aircraft and weapons. We normally always play CUP based maps and weapons. 2 hours and 43 Mins and we got there in the end. And was rewarded with a VTOL EVAC, which was really different and amazing to watch. We had a very small area of EVAC, so we made sure we were away from it. There was power lines and a road, the landing area was full of tree stumps - yet the VTOL did the perfect landing. We are close to reaching 100 Escapes now in 4 years with just two players. Though we get about 25% approx escapes. Most the time we die at the prison or just soon after. Only issue we had all game, was twice, it appears as if we had a random single spawn soldier right on us. We were in a field 600m from a command post and was taking out the Static and foot patrols before approaching. Then all of a sudden a soldier shot my friend, I turn around and he was right on top of me, so I was lucky enough to get a pistol onto him. Didn't hear any footsteps or voices from him. So I assume he just spawned? Will play this mission again for sure. Starting off in the prison, where the guards have limited weapons and gear adds to the challenge at the start,. Hepas of Soldier transporters, Ammo dumps and Tanks to keep you busy and the Aircraft are crazy - especially the Gunship. Finding a Medkit is the biggest challenge and very rare. You might find one from a Fireteam or maybe Paratrooper.

    We sometimes spend too long in a area, or take risks with exposed Ammo dumps or roadblocks etc. Playing mainly with two players, we found we had to stick close to each other to maintain an ability to revive each other, though sometimes you need to break up to flank a Command post or Ammo dump to get to the Static weapons quickly. Tanks are always fun, especially when they have you pinned in a town with no way out. Yes please, we would really appreciate the upload. We have been having issues with some of the CUP TP maps, Takistan and Utes seems to have bugs and I've seen Thirsk have bugs also. Seems enemies had the ability to see pas walls or shot you in the head every time on these maps. Though its only been since the CUP update the other month. I've seen also when the Prison guards shoot each other at the start as well. On a positive, Helicopters seem to land and control themselves better during evac. AA weapons like the Stinger and IGLA are also better now as well. More control and better success of a hit. We play tomorrow night for our weekly Escape fix, been doing so every week for 4 years now. So you can see why we appreciate all the work you guys have put into the missions and CUP.😉
