    Season Pass - Initial Comments

The devs seem to have a thing about never listening to the community especially how 10/none were onboard with reverting map choice and they still ignored us. I liked the old looting UI too and a lot of people are vocal about it but Bohemia doesn't seem to give a fuck about 99% of the things we say

    What's up with Gewehr SG1?

The HBAR has barely any recoil. They just need to fix their damage stats because clearly they aren't working. If you mean rifles should do more damage at the cost of higher recoil I still disagree though because higher velocity due to extended barrel doesn't necessarily mean more damage as nobody wears armor in this game. Slower rounds can actually do more damage because they tumble inside the body hence why over penetration is a thing. Also being two shot by an automatic weapon is a little too fast.

Need more things in the Shelter

Raids means having to rebuild the stuff that took forever to build in the first place so definitely not on board with that. But what they could add is something you can build that reduces the cost of ammo since they increased it so much. Or better yet just revert old ammo costs, but they'll probably just increase the ammo costs again and again till a single round of 45acp costs 1 000 000 materials or something.

    Season 3: Rivals Feedback

Actually if the "warehouse" is the big barn-like building then two blue boxes spawned there last night and neither me nor my friend could open either of the boxes. One was on top of a bunch of large crates and one was next to the stairs closest to the outside ladder

    What's up with Gewehr SG1?

My friend accidentally shot me once with it last night and the G3 SG1 did twice the damage it was supposed to reducing my health to about 10. I've also noticed this on youtube videos of the youtuber getting two shot. The weapon often times treats one bullet like two in terms of damage. But this'll never be fixed because it makes the gun more pay to win without outright saying it. If anything this bug may be part of the reason this gun plan costs somewhere around 800 crowns.

    Shootout - Not getting Food

Also happened to me. Not only will we not be reimbursed but you need to put in hundreds of games to get a decent amount of anything. The fact that it's 25k food for a single purple crate then beyond that is much more for pretty much one crate at a time and that you get nothing else from shootout makes it really grindy to get literally anything out of it.

I get it now I think it's an XP reward and in which case teammates will still probably kill you just to get both crates lol

    Season Pass - Initial Comments

Did you say "protect teammate"? Does that mean you can't teamkill anymore? That is AWESOME aside from 1 thing. What if your teammate grabs both crates? Now there's no means of punishing them for being so greedy so that'll probably happen much more often now.

    Xbox play anywhere

Aiming, recoil control and navigating buttons is significantly easier. I would definitely use a mouse and keyboard in vigor if I could but if they ever do add it it has to be like you said with other M&K players. Only thing though is that vigor is on its way to death so Bohemia might add it in without separation making the vets and beginners have an even larger gap between each other.

    Xbox play anywhere

As long as you still have to use controller. Because if you can use mouse and keyboard you get a massive advantage in shooting abilities over controller players.

Iodine, arguable the most powerful consumable coming soon

Transmitters are stationary so you have to set up a position in exactly where you intend to stay, so looting may be out of the question. This also means if you're going for crate you need to know the airdrop location which can put you in harms way. You also need to know exactly what direction (north, south, east, west) that the hunter is in, assuming they're alone. If they're not alone one can flank your position and find where you are anyways. If you know their position and the airdrop location you might be able to trick them but if they don't approach you and camp the crate they can easily out-iodine spam you unless you were expecting the crate to be boosted and thereby also brought in 1 million detectors and iodine. Transmitters just aren't comparable in use to portable detectors because you can't make them move on their own either. I think it'd be nice if they just made portable detectors give a general area where players/transmitters are at as opposed to their exact position. That would make them much more fair because then you can easily ambush the spammer. I agree with all of the things you said "yes" to for the most part. Cosmetics are fine for the morons that want to wear pink or red all the easier for me to pick them off. But yeah a lot of the consumables are bullshit so they shouldn't exist. I also really like the sound of slowing movement or making it more realistic, people run around like apes and it makes it so you can dodge bullets like the matrix which is dumb lol. "I honestly feel that the issues you are mentioning with personal signal detectors/insurance/spamming things is only related to a very very small percentage of the player base. I'm by no means a Vigor expert but I have been playing quite a bit since December and never seen it." Try going for a gold crate and you'll see these people crawl out from under the floorboards. I've had this nonsense get me killed way too many times because they know exactly where I am and I don't even know they're around. "The amount of in game resources and real money needed to execute what you are talking about is immense" Actually for just the cost of insurance people boost off of each other to literally fill their inventories with whatever they want. So the cost aside from crowns goes out the window because neither party loses material-value. More importantly I've heard you can exploit it so you don't lose crowns which is even worse because that means people probably have hundreds if not thousands that they can just throw away. Now imagine that for iodine too.

Iodine, arguable the most powerful consumable coming soon

"Are people actually been having an issue with personal signal detector spam?... It is a bit premature to be up in arms about an issue that hasn't even been released yet with the iodine." I'd say about 75% of games where the crates get bumped above blue people bring in inventories full of these detectors with a P90 of course. You can beat them yeah, but they always know your exact position from the portable detectors so if you try to move they can pick you off across the map with their P90. Just because you haven't run into this problem yet does not mean it will not become meta, the fact that it has become relevant as an issue over the course of my games within the same season they were released means it's getting popular very fast. A clear advantage is not something that people take lightly. The fact that I've seen several people with inventories full of these portable detectors means that there are people willing to spend crowns every game for insurance to have a massively unfair advantage. Even if it costs a portion of their paycheque every week. "the guy with iodine has the advantage but shouldn't you if you spend the resources to bring it? That's the point of bringing consumables." Also people get these detectors in masses from their buddies by inventory sharing, so literally all it costs is the insurance. The increases in chances one has at getting the crate when having an inventory full of both portables and iodine is pretty high. Just think about it, you know the exact position of anyone who approaches you or who you're after and as soon as the radiation starts to come in anyone who's not spamming iodine with you will either have to try to grab the crate and get shot by you or leave and lose the crate anyways. "The number one thing I saw complained about was teaming in solos. And guess what.. when the devs actually fixed the issue by removing map selection, people starting complaining about that! I mean how else do you recommend solving the issue? If you stand next to someone for too long without shooting you both die? I mean come on folks. Maybe I am callous because I rarely used map selection and cued random anyway." No, they did not fix this issue at all I still see teaming happen quite a lot. The best way to fix this without removing options for the player is for the matchmaking to restrict looking for people who are friends/recent players with anyone in the game. You can still play with friends/recent players if they're on your team but otherwise it'll search for other people automatically. But teaming also happens once everyone's in the lobby too, that is a step that blocking party chat can stop. If they make game chat a forced-feature like some xbox 360 games that'd effectively kill off teaming. That way you can only communicate with the one in your duo The reason the devs removed map select was not to get rid of teaming as again it did barely anything about it. It's because some maps are too easy to play and the devs didn't like that so they removed player choice so that you have less chance of getting barred/crate. The other reason they said was to improve queue times which is bs because the quick play feature was always there. And besides last time I checked the poll it was almost 10/0 so if 95% of people want map select back then it's a very bad idea for the devs to keep it removed. But they will because they don't care, they get their moneys worth from people who buy insurance every game. "The way the game plays, for as many improvements and fancy guns and fancy consumables you can bring, one head shot and you're dead. That is the great equalizer of this game. Also the point of the game is purely killing! Its about surviving. Run, hide, or fight. There are a number of ways to go about this game if you feel outmatched." Actually if you want to talk about headshots last time I checked the PM pistol, the thompson and a few other guns according to the dummies are NOT a one shot headshot. So not only do some weapons fail at doing this but the P90 is so much better than all other guns it's just not worth comparing any of them. I can beat people with P90s yeah but their gun is perfectly accurate and can cross-map people, I've used it many times so I know. As for "run, hide, or fight" run will soon be out of the question as the caffeine consumable will let you catch up to anyone who may try to run from you. Hiding is out of the question because portable detectors know your exact position at all times. And fighting as you know is unrivaled by the most accurate gun in the game, the P90

    Game crashes costing weapons/loadout

There is evidence that suggests against "Spending money on crowns is not necessary, and neither are we pushing for our players to purchase them." Just recently you (I refer to "you" in correlation to as a company) nerfed daily challenges, one gave 135 crowns now it gives 10 crowns. 90% of the daily challenges aren't even worth the effort anymore because they cost more than you gain. And for "players may also gain crowns from the antenna in the shelter" there was a time when the antenna gave 20 crowns a day now it gives 6.5 or so which is garbage in comparison. In response to "It's also noteworthy that disconnects and lags can be attributed to internet connection issues" It's been a while since I've had to deal with servers as bad as Vigors' servers. My internet runs just fine on other games so the fact that this one stands out in terms of bad connectivity means it has nothing to do with me and you need better servers or to fix some of the countless bugs this game has. Again as for "You can also loot and sneak around the map, which is a viable option". That isn't a viable option because you keep making the game more and more combat-focused, giving people stuff like caffeine means that lower-tier players can't run away anymore from hunters. Portable detectors means you literally can't hide because I see people more and more often bring inventories full of those. And just in general how you force people to play in lobbies with each other means you WANT people to compete over everything.

    What's up with Gewehr SG1?

Well the G3 SG costs more so therefore it's magically better in every way, I think I've seen the plan being sold in the upwards of 800 crowns lol. I have it but the G3 should be the same and they need to show the proper damage stats. I think that it might have something to do with being classed as a "rifle", if I remember correctly the SKS says it has the same damage as the AKM but it does more damage, rifles might have a damage multiplier we don't see. It's the same with the HBAR, it is also classified as a rifle and seems to do a lot more damage than it says it does.

    Adding weapon cleaning kits

I know you want to add something to the game but this would only make the experience "better" for masochist-type people. I am not a masochist whatsoever and also this game (sort of) tries to be realistic, guns do not turn into dust within a weeks time. I've heard an AK-47 can be left in the mud for years and still function. Eklab is also right, this will drive a lot of people away from the game. I really doubt it'll make the game "standout" in the way you imagine, it'd be unique in the way that it kills the game because there are a LOT of people that hate having their hard-earned stuff just turn into dust.

    Adding weapon cleaning kits

You must be a developer for this game or something. That's the most anti-player thing I've seen on these forums so far. Forcing people to maintain weapons when they might only be on once a week or in a while? What and they'll cost crowns for cleaning ingredients too or something? If you're not aware the majority of weapons cost over 10k materials and more than half of them aren't worth the 10 times price of a common weapon. And you want people to have to spend even more? Making their hard earned stuff turn into shit over time? Do you not know how greedy this game already is? You might as well give them your damn wallet if you want them to take more from us because they take enough already. They grinded everything that used to be given to us down into nothing. The most expensive gun only used to be in the 4k material range now it's up to 16k, ammo used to cost only 6 a piece max, now it's upwards of 20-40 per damn bullet. Crates used to reward loads of guns, now special issue crates give 5 fake glints and john knives in some rolls which is garbage I've even heard of poukko parts being in them. They also force upon us random cosmetics to dilute the pools. Antennas used to give 20 crowns a day now it's a bit more than a quarter of that. Some daily challenges used to give 135 crowns, now it's down to 10 for the same challenge, they took from us 13 times the value of our time. Food crates at one point would give 6 military grade crates, 6 rare crates and more for minimal effort, now they made it take tens of thousands of food to get maybe half (if you're lucky) of what was offered before. They also took map choice away from us and show absolutely no care of changing it back despite huge backlash. I wouldn't be surprised if the devs wholeheartedly agree with you on this post just cause it's so anti-consumer. Next they'll make it so you have to maintain your shelter upgrades or they break into level 0, then they'll add food and water you also have to get to keep your character alive despite encounters being less than 10 minutes long. And they'll also probably add keys for crates so you have to pay to open them along with already having to gamble for the chance to get the crate which gambles for your rolls also because RNG machine. Oh and maybe they'll add a disease "feature" too that makes your character permadie and lose everyfuckingthing you worked towards unless you pay gold to cure them

    Team matchmaking!!

Yes please I second this. Please listen to your player base, because the more you upset us the more strongly people will speak against your game, that means less money because people will be more reluctant to play.
  18. As the title says, we should have the option whether or not we want to spend our money on random cosmetics in crates. We can already buy the majority of cosmetics at will now so it defeats the purpose. I've also heard of pukko parts being received in special issue crates, this shouldn't be the case. Knives do not get kills if the victim knows how to move around and even the John is not a valuable weapon. Weapon parts in general should not be in crates because weapon rolls always give more weapons than part rolls do. Ammunition should also never be in crates as we can already craft it in large bulks. If you decide to keep weapon parts, ammunition, and cosmetics in crates as they are at least please make those things respective to their crate tier. Military grade crates should not get loot lower than military grade for example.

Game becoming a camp fest, loosing original vibe

It would be helpful but we know that helpful for us means a hard no from the devs.

Plz bring back ability to choose map

The community in all its masses are telling Bohemia that this NEEDS to be rolled back. But the reason they removed map choice was because some maps were too easy and that makes them less money. It is not to prevent teaming or speed up queue times because what they did literally fixes neither whatsoever. So open your eyes to the obvious reason people. The game preview is showing that Grontheim valley will be the next "featured" map but that likely means that they have no intention of changing this. I hope I'm wrong and they bring what we had for choices back but they recently increased ammo prices, made crate loot worse, made food-earned crates much worse, butchered daily challenges, ruined xp earnings and even made loot on all maps much worse. The evidence suggests that they think they can take everything from us, but it's no way to keep a game alive. Especially when new players are hunted down by portable signal detectors or any decent crate is out-camped by somebody spamming iodine.
  21. ArachnidOverlord

Iodine, arguable the most powerful consumable coming soon

It's a really nice consumable but it'll be meta just like portable signal detectors. I expect to see these packed into people's inventories. Exit camping and crate camping will be stronger then ever but it is what it is I guess.
  22. ArachnidOverlord

    Big problem

Because if they reimburse the player crowns then that player might not buy as much gold because they already have some. I also think they're at the point where they're making so much money they don't care how much they take because people are spending their entire paychecks on this game to get insurance every game so they can bring their inventory full of portable signal detectors and p90s and win.
  23. ArachnidOverlord

Game becoming a camp fest, loosing original vibe

There should be a third place to get "good" loot aside from the crate and barred house. They could add an "actual" weapon cache marked on the map with several steel boxes that you have to unlock similar to blue box combination locks but with 5 combinations instead of 4 and that give you weapons or parts of weapons no lower then "uncommon" grade. Once one of these boxes are interacted with it'd alert the map like the other things. Also don't ask them to remove anything because they'll do just that and not increase the other things mentioned. They take take take like how they made ammo more expensive, purposely diluted the special issue pool with a bad knife, made all crate loot worse, made food-based crate rewards worse, made daily challenge rewards worse, made map loot worse, etc.
  24. ArachnidOverlord

    Improve the knife combat.

I agree that they should have more possibilities and below I have ideas for implementation but it wouldn't be easy to make knives fair. If I recall correctly call of duty's knives are literally an instant kill as soon as you touch someone with them. With the joke of a movement system in this game where people can run around like apes just to stab you once it probably would get a little annoying. Which is why if they're going to make knives better they have to do it carefully. It should never be a one hit kill, and the defender should have some way to protect themselves. Maybe it could engage some sort of melee combat that you're both locked in until somebody dies but that'd be literal garbage in team modes because someone would always intervene. And if you "grab" melee somebody that'd probably be on par to stun locking. Which is also bad because it gives no chance to the defending player. It has to be based on skill so the closest thing to a decent melee system I can think of is where you both have to press certain buttons at certain times and you're both locked into melee but can move left or right slightly like how a wolf circles its prey. 1. Either player has to land a melee hit or melee trade to disengage melee, after either player runs there is a short cooldown before you can lock into melee again. 2. Like how knife damage is based on rarity, the gun melee damage would be based on size, so a machine gun hitting you would do a lot more damage than a pistol. 3. Smaller guns would have a slight decrease to melee damage received during an engagement because it's easier to dodge with a smaller gun. 4. If defender has a knife or a gun that does more damage than what is currently equipped they'll automatically switch to it to engage in melee. If both players have knives I guess it'd be down to the value of knife in terms of damage but a puokko could still beat a john if the puokko doesn't fail any button hits. Also if neither player fails any button-pressing then both would do damage to each other, again whenever a player deals damage to another that player gets a chance to disengage melee.
  25. ArachnidOverlord

    Improve the knife combat.

Knife combat shouldn't even be in this game it is one of those things that is very hard to balance because it's either completely useless or so overpowered it ruins the experience because you're stun locked to death or something stupid along those lines. If they add a "stealth execution" I guarantee that people will abuse it and start running around you with a knife while they're fighting you so they get that "stealth" kill even though you were shooting them. Shooting somebody full auto is a much more efficient way to kill them than cutting them up with a knife in almost all cases. So realistically, unless your character is John Wick, knife combat just has no place in this game.
