Poor game updates may cause game to die 1.1
Kuljack replied to SavageNinja63's topic in General Discussion
For new players, there is also the story line quests you are given initially that are easy challenges that bolster up their inventory with crates and coins. They have a good start when they join, and the quests are enough to show them the basics of the game to draw them in. Dark Souls has a very tough PVP world and the players are relentless on new players, yet they keep coming and the game is huge. I am not worried about these mechanics, I agree with Old. If they let up a little on stamina that would be nice. I feel like an overweight smoker try to run up hill everytime my inventory is full. I like the mechanics but it would be nice if different things had different weights. Maybe ammo and food didn’t carry much weight. The weight thing is nice though. a player last night grabbed crate and I was maybe 20m away from the crate. He ditched for exit and normally he would have gotten away, but because of the weight slowing him down I was able to cut him off just before the extraction line and got the green crate. Saw another guy in the distance running my way so I waved as I disappeared. -
Anyone run into issues where you scan the map with the signal, see like two enemies. Then you kill said two players, only to find more players surprise attack you? I just played a map on draug, where two players showed up at bottom of map by the safe while the crate was landing. Crate landed by the army base at top of map, we were right there at crate when it landed and sprinted for the shipwrecked exit at top of map. Somehow the two players were waiting there, there is no way they sprinted to the top of the map that fast. We had fire behind us as well when we grabbed the 2nd crate. This happened the other day when the signal only showed one guy left on map and my buddy and I cornered them. As soon as we were about to take him out another team spawned lagging the game causing me to rubberband back to a prior spot. They caught us off guard and it isn’t just a BS feeling.

Thought it was fixed where we keep our gear if disconnected from match. Nope, five minutes in i looted the chopter and got that new MGV weapon from a crate. Was gonna leave to keep it and the game kicks me. Lost my A1 I went in with and of course the pound of ammo and antibiotics, along with the new gun. Ive yet to be convinced buying the starter pack this month will be worth my money.

Seems to be hit and miss. I honestly would care about game crashing if we kept the loot we go into match with. I hate bringing an A1 or ADR with me just to lose it to lag. It’s an easy fix, if you leave match do to player kill you loose your gear. Any other reason, get it back. I don’t mind a great deal loosing what I didn’t yet own like loot from the match so much.

Kill all the other players before looting.

Yup, the ADS issue has gotten me killed several times. Go to bare down on sights wanting iron sight view and its reverted back to hip fire and I miss my shots, eat some bullets, and rage induces. Had a stairwell locked down, went to aim for the guy coming up and had iron-sights when I was previously in hip fire. Of course I couldn’t swing sights fast enough and lost that too. It works both ways and is frustrating. As far as the weight thing, I think it’s one of the greatest additions to a PVP looter game. Now you pretty much HAVE to be the last player on the map to grab the crate, and it stops the dine-n-ditch players from hiding behind the crate a running off. Gotta earn the crate now.

Can anyone confirm that those dang bushes are fixed?

I think what Vigor does well is simulate reality very well. This new mechanic adds to the realism. Yes, it’s a video game. Yes, you have stolen Hermoines charmed bag of endless depth. It’s not possible to reach total realism without inventory almost completely not existing. We’d grab 5 chemicals or 10 metal parts and have full pockets. That won’t work. This does. It gives you the feeling of being burdened for your plunders. Giving you a distinct disadvantage from players fleet footed. This is really handy for chasing down the guy who grabbed the supply drop now. You are welcome to speak on your opinion, but please don’t speak for all players. We are not COD or R6 players here, we like the challenge Vigor brings to survival combat and the realism. 1.2 hopefully bring knives that deal more damage, cause you know stabs hurt.

Haha I enjoy how you approach things. I always think it’s funny how people cannot so something once, maybe they give it a good try doing it the one way they know, and it not producing positive results, they come to the conclusion it is not achievable. Adapt, rethink, survive. That’s my Vigor mindset. If I escape a player who outmatches me or gets a jump on me but botches it, I always take a moment to breathe. Wait to see their next move, and go from there. I haven’t gotten a melee kill yet legit myself, but I have come close and almost died many times from melee. It’s only failed everytime because the one doing melee missed a swing that would end me, or the enemy got distance between me. If you stay on them, don’t miss a hit and if you do end up with distance - RUN. Survive long enough to try and surprise them again.

Fun fact, there is only one stash per mission. Found a second photo during a Draug mission and it was the same location.
-
Okay found another, same loot. Antibiotics and food. I’m guessing getting extra guns is just a bonus chance.
-
Does anyone know if you can find the stash without having the photo? Found another but it only had antibiotics and a little food. Felt raided already

One nice thing I have seen, since update my game crashed only once and when I returned I still had my gear I brought into the match.
-
I have how to make this challenge manageable. Run toward enemies and swipe while sprinting to get a staggering blow that appears to deal more damage. While they are staggered run away. Stalk and repeat.
-
It has to be a glitch, mine actually says materials instead of crowns.

This game is becoming toxic. I just got TK’d in a duo match. my challenge is to play with random duos, and they removed TK contributing to challenges but people are still doing this. It serves no purpose but now I’m forced into it if I want my daily reward. No buff to melee either to compensate for not being able to boost the melee challenge. I was gonna by that starter kit this month but definitely having seconds thoughts.

I’ve seen some weird bugs in this game; getting caught in rocks, objects changing colors, brilliant gold shiny blinding map of death... all these are manageable or avoidable with adaptation. The one I cannot figure out how to fix or prevent, is when at match start the game just freezes at the map with a black background. I’m stuck with a 10s cooldown. My teammates never seem to get this though. Everytime, I reset game and I loose everything I start match with. Is this a known bug and any way to avoid it? I usually don’t mind loosing my gear cause I can craft it again, but it is a bummer when you get excited to do the match only to not.

It can be annoying to try running down a hillside and catch a rock the edges out just enough for you to run outward rather downhill, and suddenly you’re falling down with more velocity than intended and you take a good amount of damage. I like the idea of fall damage, but certain scenarios seem too much. A little jump off a rock or jumping out of a two story window if done slowly wouldn’t hurt that much people...

My brazilian friend and my (USA) are both having this issue.

I like the feel of vigor in how it’s somewhat more realistic. Aside from being able to chill in a radiation field for awhile. You stagger from shots, falling hurts you, your foot steps are loud, guns don’t have pin point accuracy... so no I don’t think taking away the option to get in a bush makes sense. You can crawl into a bush in real life and hide for cover, that’s a legit tactic. I don’t see Vigor taking that away, because a lot of campers would rage and rightfully so. Camping is a legit strategy, we use the tactic in real life. You can; however, shoot a bush and hit someone in real life so let’s have it that way. Just keep your eyes peeled, 9 times out of 10 you can spot a guy in a bush if you look for feet or a gun popping out and you do three laps around something before looting to check the area for movement.
-
This has happened to me before with a match, they wanted one side of the map and saw we had good gear. offered us the other side of map with no trouble. We agreed and they remained true. It was sort of a relief looting without the stress.
-
I actually don’t use the bush how most players do. I will hide in them for cover to conceal myself, but I refuse to use them as shields. A friend of mine asked me the other day how I died, and I told him I don’t hide in the bush. Charged a guy, got him but didn’t see his buddy until it was too late. My bud sat in the bush and dealt with the guy and the other 4 that came. The other 3 also sat in bushes and they were all just firing at each other without anyone dying. It was pretty funny. he just waited for each of them to leave and gunned them down. I think it’s a cheap mechanic, but it’s nice for cover. Just take away it’s ability to stop fire all together. Let it be visual cover, but bullets should pass through all the way all the time.

It happens sometimes when the queues are low on teams, they get dumped into solo runs. They have a slight advantage, but honestly there’s nothing wrong if two people decide to make an alliance in solo play either. That’s actually kind of a beautiful thing if neither shoots the other in the back. The complete opposite of someone joining teams to just shoot their teammate in the back.

Sure thing, if you like it I have a clan with a beautiful dojo I am always decorating. Keep me in mind if you decide to join a clan.
