"Prejudicial Reprisal" Mężyk Prison, Southern Livonia, August 1989. As the communist world began its political and economic decline, the inmates of Mężyk prison staged a revolt in protest of poor living conditions. Several guards were killed in the initial push for the armory as well as 3 high ranking officials of the Livonian Ministry of Internal Affairs who had unluckily been inspecting the prison that day. It is believed between 300-500 inmates (many of whom were political prisoners) took part in the revolt causing a local workers militia battalion to be called into action in assisting the prison guards. The prisoners banded together under the flag of the Livonian blue party, many of whom were former members before incarceration. After a weeklong standoff and the power and plumbing being shut off, an attack was finally set in motion when a young member of the workers militia was killed by a stray round. Militia forces and Prison guards broke through the inmate’s defenses and a 7-hour long skirmish erupted resulting in the inmates laying down their arms. 13 prison guards were killed along with 3 officials and 4 members of the workers militia. Numbers vary but it is estimated that 117 prisoners were killed in the assault and another 85 executed in the months following. Although the prison revolt was dealt with, word of the brutality shown by government forces quickly spread and many believe was one of the causes of the total collapse of the Livonian workers party just two years later. Hey everyone! As some of you may remember I made a two IFA3/WW2 themed missions a couple years ago that were, for a good while, pretty broken. I have recently updated these missions and fixed a ton of issues with them as well as added in some more details to some sections of the game. On top of this I added in some of the newer vehicles and such from the latest updates of IFA3! As far as I'm aware these missions now work properly and run fairly smooth, but I would love some feed back or light to be shed upon any issues I missed.
