  1. Hey all, Quick question is there a mod or something out there with Limpet/Underwater mines, Feint was creating an Underwater Demo mod which had them but I can't find it anywhere, think the mod was broken up. If anyone can help me that'd be most appreciated! TIA Joe

  3. Hey guys and gals, I'm hoping someone on here may be able to help me. So i'm trying to do a beach landing type scenario and have some marines in an LAV, I want them LAV to drive up to the shore and spit out the excess troops, thinking "TRANSPORT UNLOAD" waypoint, problem is when the ENY starts firing on them the LAV starts driving around in circles. it starts firing back too, which I don't mind cos. Is there a script or something I can put into the init field to make the driver more obedient to the waypoints I've given him?
  4. Hello everyone, I'm trying to write an op for a multiplayer group. Part of the scenario is that you have to find/rescue a friendly AI soldier who is unconcious, either pick him up or drag him to a friendly heli and load him into it, I've tried a few different things but no joy, I know it can be done via Zeus but I was wondering if there was a script or something out there to save the server settings being messed with.
  5. that worked the last time I did it but now when you put him down he gets up and starts walking around? I know it can be done by Zeus but is there a script to make him stay down?

  7. Hello everyone, I don't know if its possible but is there a script of anything to allow a player become a spectator? As in a script that allows a player to switch back and forth from spectator mode without being zeus? thanks Joe
  8. I'm struggling trying to figure out a script for the following scenario and hoping someone can help... AI with variable names "VIP", "BG1" and BG2" get rescued (I just have a trigger set up so when a player gets close enough the boat gets underway, I have the boat linked to a "show/hide" module too so its hidden untilo the trigger is activated and it starts to move) local forces dispatch a boat to come get them and take them to safety I have a number of waypoints to get the boat to the HVIs then the boat has a "LOAD" waaypoint linked to a "GET IN" waypoint for the HVIs but nothing happens!) boat stops and rescued hostages get in I was thinking setting the script to a trigger thaty doesn't activate til the HVIs are in the boat? boat leaves AO I give the boat a waypoint away from the AO and a script to delete everyone in the boat along with the boat itself?

Thanks to both of you and sorry for not replying for so long, I was otherwise engaged, So I've set up the waypoints like ye said and now the boat stops at the waypoint but the HVIs just stand their at the waypoint and do nothing, is there some sort of script I can put in the waypoint to make them get into the boat?

    You need to either be in the VLS yourself or have an AI in it to access it via UAV terminal, it worked for me by having someone lase a target onto which the VLS locked on, when you get the tone fire! thats it

    military simulator yet you die through walls

    I play in a group on a dedicated server and we found that the ENY AI tend to see/fire at us through walls and trees, but as fas as I know IRL bullets (I'm think 7.62 but could be more) depending on their caliber will go through walls/defenses and IRL people will try to track into buildings so I don't think its too unrealistic. You have to consider too that at the end of the day ARMA is a game at the end of the day, maybe you need to adjust your difficulty settings?

    I have a TrackIR and find it immensely handy esp when flying so I can look around but thats in 1st person, give it a try! Other wise yea under custom controls there should by a keybinding (TAB?) to disable it
  19. Are you offloading troops? If so change the helis waypoint to a "TRANSPORT UNLOAD" waypoint and as said above put an invisible helipad next to it. theres loads of videos on YouTube about heli insertions but I found this the best...
